Trowlock Island is a residential island in the River Thames 450 metres (490 yd) upstream of Teddington Lock on the non-tidal Kingston reach less than 10 metres from the northern bank, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England.

Walbrook Rowing Club, colloquially sometimes named Teddington Rowing Club, is a rowing club, on the River Thames in England on the Middlesex bank 800 metres above Teddington Lock next to Trowlock Island, Teddington. It is the lowest club on the weir-controlled Thames (i.e. not the Tideway) and is the organising club for Teddington Head of the River Race held in November for all classes of racing shells. It shares, in its sport, the quite broad Kingston and Ditton Reach which ends 6.4 kilometres upstream at Molesey Lock with Kingston Rowing Club, Tiffin, Tiffin Girls and Kingston Grammar Schools and has clubs in other watersports – principally canoeing, sailing and a skiff club.

Teddington School is a co-educational state school for ages 11–18, located in Teddington in the borough of Richmond upon Thames in south-west London. It has had academy status since 2012, and is operated by the Bourne Trust. It opened a co-educational sixth form in 2014.

The Hawker Centre is a sports ground in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey. Originally the Hawker's Sports Ground, it was built and owned by the Hawker Aircraft company who had factories in Kingston-upon-Thames. The ground was known prior to 1948 as the Leyland Motors Ground, due to Hawker leasing their factory to Leyland Motors, a lease which expired in 1948. The aircraft factory was demolished in 1990 which alongside storage units were converted into a residential area keeping the sports ground. Since 2001 the ground has been maintained by the YMCA St Paul's Group under a lease by the Borough.

Normansfield Hospital is a Grade II* listed building in Teddington in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England. It was built as a facility for patients with an intellectual disability and included a theatre. It now houses the national office of the Down's Syndrome Association, and the Langdon Down Museum of Learning Disability.

The Tiffin School Boat Club (also known as TSBC) is an amateur rowing club, based in London, run by Tiffin School. It is based on the River Thames at Kingston upon Thames on the outskirts of Greater London in south-east England between Kingston Bridge and Teddington Lock. Rowers enjoy one of the longest and calmest stretches of rowing water in the UK; 4.81 miles (7.74km) between Molesey Lock upstream to the south and downstream to Teddington Lock.

Kingston Rowing Club (KRC) is a rowing club in England founded in 1858 and a member club of British Rowing. The club is located on the River Thames at Kingston upon Thames, downstream and north-east of Kingston Bridge and Kingston Railway Bridge. On a long wide stretch, its rowers and scullers have the final and the second longest section of the weir-controlled river. Kingston have produced a significant list of international level oarsmen and oarswomen throughout its history and has won events at the British Rowing Championships and Henley Royal Regatta through the years. Kingston Rowing Club is the supporting club for Kingston Regatta which is held above Kingston Bridge. Kingston organises Kingston Head of the River Race which is a warm-up for the national Head of the River Race on the Championship Course on the following weekend.

Tiffin Girls' School is a girls' selective school in Kingston upon Thames, Southwest London, England; it moved from voluntary aided status to become an academy in 2011.

The Normansfield Theatre is a Victorian era building in Teddington, England. The theatre is on the site of Normansfield Hospital, which was a self-sufficient Victorian hospital complex run by Dr. John Langdon Down. The hospital was where he conducted the pioneering research into the syndrome now known as Down Syndrome. The theatre was constructed in 1877 and completed in 1879 for the use of the patients.The theatre is held in care by the Langdon Down Centre Trust. It hosts productions by many different groups, including West London amateur opera company Richmond Opera (formerly Isleworth Baroque).Work on restoring the previously derelict Grade II* listed building began in 2010. It has now been converted for residential use and the former hospital workshops have been re-developed as social housing. The building has been removed from English Heritage's At Risk register.It is a popular filming location. It appeared in the Agatha Christie's Poirot episodes "The Tragedy at Marsdon Manor," "The Case of the Missing Will," "Double Sin," and "After the Funeral." It was also used in Dorian Gray (2009), the ITV series Downton Abbey, and the Netflix series Bridgerton

The Kingston Academy (TKA), is a co-educational secondary free school located in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames, south-west London, established in September 2015. The Ham bank murder occurred on 10 November 1976, at a branch of Barclays Bank in the Ham section of London, resulting in the murder of a bank teller working at the branch. The victim was Angela Mary Woolliscroft, fatally wounded by a shotgun.
