Netherhall Learning Campus

The Creative & Media Studio School is a studio school located at the Netherhall Learning Campus in Huddersfield, in the English county of West Yorkshire, England. The school was established in 2010. The school was initially housed in the premises of the other schools in the Netherhall Federation; however a dedicated building has been completed and was officially opened on 15 November 2013. School specialisms include Drama, Music, Textiles, Graphics, Fashion and Media, with qualifications at GCSE, BTEC or A Level.

Rawthorpe is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated at the top of Kilner Bank. A hill just to the east of Huddersfield town centre and close to the John Smith's Stadium. Its neighbouring area in the town is Dalton Rawthorpe is mainly made up of a large council estate. The area also contains several notable buildings, including Nether Hall (now a riding school.) Netherhall Learning Campus (formerly Rawthorpe High School) is situated on Nether Hall Avenue, as is the Creative and Media Studio School. Rawthorpe Hall, a Grade II listed building, now converted into dwellings gives its apparent Norse place name to the vicinity. Historically, Rawthorpe lies in the ancient civil parish of Kirkheaton and the township of Dalton.

Leeds Road was a football stadium in Huddersfield, England. It operated from its construction in 1908 until the Kirklees Stadium was opened nearby for the 1994–95 season. It was the home of Huddersfield Town A.F.C. from 1908 to 1994 and was also the base for Huddersfield RLFC from 1992 to 1994.

The Tolson Memorial Museum, also known as Tolson Museum, is housed in Ravensknowle Hall, a Victorian mansion in Ravensknowle Park on Wakefield Road in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. The museum was given to the town by Legh Tolson in memory of his two nephews who were killed in the First World War. Originally a natural history museum, it is run by Kirklees Council and has a wide range of exhibits related to the area's cultural and industrial history.

Huddersfield Town Association Football Club is an English professional football club based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Founded on 15 August 1908, it entered the Football League in 1910. The team currently compete in the Championship, the second tier of English football. Huddersfield became the first English club to win three successive English league titles in 1925–26. The first two league titles were won under manager and pioneer Herbert Chapman, who also led the team to an FA Cup win in 1922. They have been runners-up in the First Division thrice, and FA Cup runners-up four times. Town were the second team, after Blackpool, to have won all three divisional play-offs. In the late 1950s, the club was managed by Bill Shankly, and featured Denis Law and Ray Wilson. Following relegation from the First Division in 1972, Huddersfield spent 45 years in the second, third and fourth tiers of English football, before returning to the top flight in 2017. They were relegated back to the Championship in 2019. The team have played home games at the Kirklees Stadium since 1994, which replaced their former home of Leeds Road. The club colours of blue and white stripes were adopted in 1916. Their nickname "The Terriers" was taken in 1969. Huddersfield's current emblem is based on the town's coat of arms. The team have long-standing rivalries with nearby clubs Bradford City and Leeds United, with whom they contest the West Yorkshire derby.

Kirklees Stadium (currently known due to sponsorship as the John Smith's Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, England. Since 1994, it has been the home ground of football club Huddersfield Town and rugby league side Huddersfield Giants, both of whom moved from Leeds Road. The stadium was a venue at the Rugby League World Cup in 1995, 2000 and 2013, in addition to the 1999 Rugby World Cup. It is owned by both clubs, as well as Kirklees Council. Its naming rights have passed from constructors Alfred McAlpine to pharmaceutical company Galpharm International in 2004, then to John Smith's Brewery eight years later.

Deighton pronounced as Dee-ton is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated 2 miles (3.2 km) north east of the town centre and lies off the A62 Leeds Road. Deighton was formerly known as East Bradley, and Bradley was called West Bradley. The name changed when the Deighton family bought the area stretching from Screamer Woods (near the Deighton Fields) to Sheepridge and Brackenhall. Deighton has a railway station on the Huddersfield Line for services to Huddersfield, Leeds and Wakefield. The typical journey time to Huddersfield is usually 7 minutes, to Wakefield Westgate 31 minutes and to Leeds 34 minutes. The Deighton Centre was a place for educational, training and leisure activities. It was formerly a high school for Deighton, Bradley and Brackenhall students. Deighton High School closed on 31 August 1992, and most students and some staff were relocated to Fartown High School. The centre was refurbished as a sports/music venue, and utilised by the Local Authority, Kirklees Council, for staff training. Next door to the centre, the Deighton Sports Arena was developed which houses a gym, squash court and basketball court and is a venue for dancehall music. In March 2016 the Deighton Centre was demolished.The chemical company, Syngenta has a large plant off the A62 Leeds Road. Leeds Road Playing Fields has football, cricket and all-weather pitches, a sports hall and an athletics track. Home to Kirklees Ladies FC.

Moldgreen is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in England, approximately one mile (1.5 km) east of the town centre between Dalton and Aspley. The main Wakefield Road, the A629, is the main thoroughfare through the district. The area was originally known as "Mold Green" or "Mould Green" and was a hamlet in the Kirkheaton parish and in the Dalton township.

Deighton railway station serves the Deighton area of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Deighton station is the first station 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of Huddersfield railway station on the Huddersfield Line towards Leeds.

North Huddersfield Trust School (formerly Fartown High School) is a coeducational secondary school located in the Fartown area of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.Previously a community school administered by Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council, in September 2011 Fartown High School was formally closed and replaced with North Huddersfield Trust School on the same site. The school is now administered by North Huddersfield Trust. The Trust's lead educational partner is Holmfirth High School. The other partners are Kirklees College, the University of Huddersfield and Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council.North Huddersfield Trust School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, as well as some vocational courses offered in conjunction with Kirklees College. The school also has an adult education provision for the local community.

Dalton is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in England, approximately one mile east of the town centre between Moldgreen, Rawthorpe and Kirkheaton. Located in a small valley it is mostly housing, with a small number of engineering firms to the north-west, surrounded by farmland used in the production of milk. Germaine Lindsay, one of the suicide bombers involved in the 7 July 2005 London bombings, had lived in the area following his arrival from Jamaica aged five.

Huddersfield power station supplied electricity to the town of Huddersfield and the wider area from 1893 to 1981. It was owned and operated by Huddersfield Corporation until the nationalisation of the electricity supply industry in 1948. The power station was redeveloped several times: including the incorporation of new plant in the 1910s, and in the 1930s to 1950s. The station was decommissioned in October 1981. Another power station, together with car sheds and offices, was located at Longroyd Bridge which supplied the Huddersfield tram system with electricity from 1901 to 1940.
