Rawthorpe is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It is situated at the top of Kilner Bank. A hill just to the east of Huddersfield town centre and close to the John Smith's Stadium. Its neighbouring area in the town is Dalton Rawthorpe is mainly made up of a large council estate. The area also contains several notable buildings, including Nether Hall (now a riding school.) Netherhall Learning Campus (formerly Rawthorpe High School) is situated on Nether Hall Avenue, as is the Creative and Media Studio School. Rawthorpe Hall, a Grade II listed building, now converted into dwellings gives its apparent Norse place name to the vicinity. Historically, Rawthorpe lies in the ancient civil parish of Kirkheaton and the township of Dalton.

The school was initially housed in the premises of the other schools in the Netherhall Federation; however a dedicated building has been completed and was officially opened on 15 November 2013. School specialisms include Drama, Music, Textiles, Graphics, Fashion and Media, with qualifications at GCSE, BTEC or A Level.

North Huddersfield Trust School (formerly Fartown High School) is a coeducational secondary school located in the Fartown area of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.Previously a community school administered by Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council, in September 2011 Fartown High School was formally closed and replaced with North Huddersfield Trust School on the same site. The school is now administered by North Huddersfield Trust. The Trust's lead educational partner is Holmfirth High School. The other partners are Kirklees College, the University of Huddersfield and Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council.North Huddersfield Trust School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, as well as some vocational courses offered in conjunction with Kirklees College. The school also has an adult education provision for the local community.

Leeds Road was a football stadium in Huddersfield, England. It operated from its construction in 1908 until the Kirklees Stadium was opened nearby for the 1994–95 season. It was the home of Huddersfield Town A.F.C. from 1908 to 1994 and was also the base for Huddersfield RLFC from 1992 to 1994.

Brackenhall is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England located 2 miles (3 km) north of Huddersfield town centre between Fixby and Sheepridge.

Bradley is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, 3 miles north-east of the town centre. It is generally just off the A62 Leeds Road and west of the River Colne and the Huddersfield Broad Canal. Located north of Deighton and east of Brackenhall (via Bradley bar), the area has two primary schools, a secondary school and three churches, (one Catholic, one Protestant and another converted to a gymnasium). All Saints' Catholic College, previously All Saints' Catholic High School (which serves the towns of Brighouse and the Huddersfield) is situated in the district. Built in 1960 and formerly two schools, (St Gregory's R.C. Grammar and St. Augustine's R.C. Secondary Modern) the two were combined in 1973 to form the currently large high school. Bradley has a council estate with the Keldregate thoroughfare running parallel to Leeds Road (A62), as well as two private developments which effectively constitute villages in themselves. It has many Robin Hood references in the area, including 'Sherwood Avenue', 'Huntingdon Avenue' and a former pub site called the 'Little John'. The area used to be part of a larger Bradley estate known as 'West Bradley' in comparison to 'East Bradley' which included most of Deighton and a part of Leeds Road. Has the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) award-winning White Cross Inn public house on Bradley Road. Bradley Park is a 17-acre sports and recreation ground adjacent to Wilton Avenue. In December 2017 ownership of Bradley Park transferred from Kirklees Council to Friends of Bradley Park as part of a community asset transfer. Friends of Bradley Park is a registered charity that was set up for the purpose of owning, running and developing Bradley Park for the benefit of the local community. In the area there is also the 18-hole Bradley Park municipal golf course. There are 2 pubs in the area, the High Park (on Bradley Road) and the White Cross (at the intersection of Bradley Road and Leeds Road). The Woodman Inn (on Leeds Road) has been demolished as has the Badger (on Bradley Road) and the Little John (on Keldregate). Bradley was served by Bradley railway station which was closed in 1952, it was situated on Station Road which joined Leeds Road near the Woodman Inn. Bradley Viaduct is a 15 arch rail bridge crossing the Huddersfield Broad Canal and River Colne now converted to a cycleway.The school TV series How We Used To Live used Bradley as the name for a whole town, clearly located in West Yorkshire.

All Saints Catholic College is a Roman Catholic secondary school situated in Bradley Bar, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England.

Huddersfield Town Association Football Club is an English professional football club based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Founded on 15 August 1908, it entered the Football League in 1910. The team currently compete in the Championship, the second tier of English football. Huddersfield became the first English club to win three successive English league titles in 1925–26. The first two league titles were won under manager and pioneer Herbert Chapman, who also led the team to an FA Cup win in 1922. They have been runners-up in the First Division thrice, and FA Cup runners-up four times. Town were the second team, after Blackpool, to have won all three divisional play-offs. In the late 1950s, the club was managed by Bill Shankly, and featured Denis Law and Ray Wilson. Following relegation from the First Division in 1972, Huddersfield spent 45 years in the second, third and fourth tiers of English football, before returning to the top flight in 2017. They were relegated back to the Championship in 2019. The team have played home games at the Kirklees Stadium since 1994, which replaced their former home of Leeds Road. The club colours of blue and white stripes were adopted in 1916. Their nickname "The Terriers" was taken in 1969. Huddersfield's current emblem is based on the town's coat of arms. The team have long-standing rivalries with nearby clubs Bradford City and Leeds United, with whom they contest the West Yorkshire derby.
