Loughton, Shropshire

Wheathill is a village and civil parish 21 miles (34 km) south east of Shrewsbury, in the Shropshire district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. The parish includes the villages of Loughton and Silvington, the hamlet of Bromdon and the deserted village of Egerton. In 2011 the parish had a population of 229. The parish touches Aston Botterell, Bitterley, Burwarton, Clee St. Margaret, Farlow, Hopton Wafers and Stoke St. Milborough.

Burwarton is a small village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. Local governance is provided through the 'grouped' Parish Council for Aston Botterill, Burwarton and Cleobury North. The Parish falls within the Brown Clee Division of the Shropshire Unitary Council. There is no village meeting place, but the combined parishes share the facilities of the Village Hall at Cleobury North. The Burwarton Parish embraces most of the 'home estate' around Burwarton House. This rises westward from the main Bridgnorth-Ludlow road, passing north–south through the village, up to the ridge summit of Brown Clee Hill. Notable Landmarks and Events: nearby are Burwarton Cottage owned by the Scout organisation and Wenlock hills. The Shropshire Way passes along the western border of the parish close to the Brown Clee summit. Orienteering and Mountain Bike events take place periodically. The famous annual Burwarton Show has its offices here. The show is actually held in the adjacent village of Cleobury North. Public Footpaths criss-cross the parish and the Boyne Estate. Burwarton Parish Church is now a private residence. Burwarton House is the seat of Viscount Boyne, whose family gives their name to the village pub, the Boyne Arms. Aston Botterell is a village and small civil parish in the county of Shropshire, West Midlands, England. The village lies 8 miles (13 km) south-west of the market town of Bridgnorth and 10 miles (16 km) north-east of the town of Ludlow. The nearest main roads are the B4364 and the A4117. According to the 2001 census, the civil parish had a population of 74. The area's economy is still largely based on agriculture, though many residents travel up to 12 miles (19 km) to work in other sectors such as the service and manufacturing industries.

Cleeton St Mary (or Cleeton) is a small village in south Shropshire, England. It lies on the northeast slope of Titterstone Clee Hill, at an elevation of 316 metres (1,037 ft) above sea level. Cleeton forms part of the civil parish of Bitterley, even though the parish largely exists on the other side of Titterstone Clee, and Cleeton is effectively detached (by road). Cleeton St Mary is a parish ward. Large areas of common land remain around the village; the countryside here is largely pasture (for grazing of sheep and horses), woodland and moorland.The church of Saint Mary (Church of England) is situated here but is relatively new, being built in the second half of the 19th century (along with the schoolhouse).Cleeton is mentioned in the Cadfael novel The Virgin in the Ice which is set in 1139.

Farlow is a small village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. The population at the 2011 census was 445.The chapelry of Farlow was an exclave of Herefordshire, part of the hundred of Wolphy. It is now part of Shropshire, after being transferred by the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844. Nearby is the small town of Cleobury Mortimer. The village of Oreton lies in the parish.

Neenton is a civil parish and small village in south east Shropshire, England, which is situated on the B4364 southwest of the market town of Bridgnorth. The Rea Brook/River Rea, which was historically known as the River Neen, flows by the village. There is a church on the corner of the B4364 passing through Neenton called the All Saints Church, also there is a public house open, called the Pheasant Inn (previously "The New Inn").
