President's House (Harvard)

Nathan Marsh Pusey Library is an underground library located inside of Harvard University. It was announced in June 1971 and was named after Nathan Pusey, the president of Harvard from 1953 to 1971. The library is the world's first library to be built with a halon-gas fire-extinguishing system. The building contains the Harvard University Archives.

The Harvard Film Archive (HFA) is a film archive and cinema located in the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of film, the HFA houses a collection of over 25,000 films in addition to videos, photos, posters and other film ephemera from around the world and from almost every period in film history. The HFA cinematheque screens films weekly in its 188-seat theater. It also maintains a film conservation center near Central Square, Cambridge. Harvard Film Archive won the 2020 Webby Award for Cultural Institution in the category Web.

Lamont Library, in the southeast corner of Harvard Yard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, houses the Harvard College Library's primary undergraduate collection in humanities and social sciences. It was the first library in the United States specifically planned to serve undergraduates. Women (that is, Radcliffe College students) were admitted beginning in 1967.

Houghton Library, on the south side of Harvard Yard adjacent to Widener Library, is Harvard University's primary repository for rare books and manuscripts. It is part of the Harvard College Library, the library system of Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

The Dana-Palmer House is an historic house in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The two-story wood-frame house was built in 1822, and is basically Federal in its styling, although it has a Greek Revival porch. The house was built on land belonging to the Dana family, and was occupied by Richard Henry Dana, Sr. among others, before its acquisition by Harvard University in 1835. From 1839 to 1843 the building was used as Harvard's first astronomical observatory, before being converted for use as a residence for its professors. One of its residents of long tenure was George Herbert Palmer, who lived there for nearly forty years. In 1947 the house was moved to its present location, and alterations made for its astronomical uses were reversed.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Sever Hall is an academic building at Harvard University designed by the American architect H. H. Richardson and built in the late 1870s. It is located in Harvard Yard in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970, recognized as one of Richardson's mature masterpieces.

The Stanstead is a historic apartment building located at 19 Ware Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The three story Richardsonian Romanesque building was built in 1887, and is an uncommon brick rendition of a triple decker, more typically a wood-frame construction, that was just becoming popular in Cambridge. The architects, J. R. & W. P. Richards, also designed The Jarvis, another early brick apartment house in the city.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Grossman Library, located at its closure on the third floor of Sever Hall in Harvard Yard, was the Harvard Extension School's primary library. It is part of the Harvard College Library, the library system of Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. It was a reserve reading and study library, named in 1982 for alumnus and benefactor Edgar Grossman.The library was established in 1964 in Lehman Hall, along with study spaces, conferences rooms, library facilities, and a dining hall for Extension students. In 1983–84 the library moved to Sever Hall and saw a doubling of usage to nearly 30,000 student visits, with 13,000 reserve books being circulated for in-library use.It had on permanent display a number of works from the famed artist Allan Rohan Crite, including a collection of sketches, The Revelation of Saint John the Divine, and illustrations. Crite was a member of the class of 1968. In 2018, the Extension School announced enhanced access for its students to the entire Harvard University library system, and closed Grossman Library, with its collections to be distributed among other libraries of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

The Harvard Art Museums are part of Harvard University and comprise three museums: the Fogg Museum (established in 1895), the Busch-Reisinger Museum (established in 1903), and the Arthur M. Sackler Museum (established in 1985), and four research centers: the Archaeological Exploration of Sardis (founded in 1958), the Center for the Technical Study of Modern Art (founded in 2002), the Harvard Art Museums Archives, and the Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies (founded in 1928). The three museums that constitute the Harvard Art Museums were initially integrated into a single institution under the name Harvard University Art Museums in 1983. The word "University" was dropped from the institutional name in 2008. The collections include approximately 250,000 objects in all media, ranging in date from antiquity to the present and originating in Europe, North America, North Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. The main building contains 204,000 square feet (19,000 m2) of space for public exhibitions, classrooms, conservation and research labs, and other related functions. Approximately 43,000 square feet (4,000 m2) of space are dedicated to exhibitions.

The Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts is the only building designed primarily by Le Corbusier in the United States—he contributed to the design of the United Nations Secretariat Building—and one of only two in the Americas (the other being the Curutchet House in La Plata, Argentina). Le Corbusier designed it with the collaboration of Chilean architect Guillermo Jullian de la Fuente at his 35 rue de Sèvres studio; the on-site preparation of the construction plans was handled by the office of Josep Lluís Sert, then dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He had formerly worked in Le Corbusier's atelier and had been instrumental in winning him the commission. The building was completed in 1962.

Harvard Union, now known as the Barker Center and once known as the Freshman Union, is a historic building on Quincy and Harvard Streets in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Gore Hall was a historic building on the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, designed by Richard Bond. Harvard's first dedicated library building, a Gothic structure built in 1838 of Quincy granite, it was named in honor of Harvard graduate and Massachusetts Governor Christopher Gore. When, in 1846, Harvard President Edward Everett was asked to design a seal for the newly incorporated City of Cambridge, he made Gore one of two icons (the other being the Washington Elm) encircled by the motto Literis Antiquis Novis Institutis Decora. "It can be translated as: 'Distinguished for Classical Learning and New Institutions.'"When the original Gore Hall was demolished in 1913 to make way for Widener Library, its name was transferred to a new Gore Hall, a freshman dormitory then under construction and now part of Winthrop House.
