Baulkham Hills High School (colloquially known as Baulko) is a government-funded academically selective co-educational secondary day school. It is located in Baulkham Hills in the Hills District of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The principal is Wayne Humphreys. The school has a history of academic achievement, having been ranked second in the NSW Higher School Certificate in 2016, 2017 and 2020, ranked fifth in 2018, ninth in 2019 and ranked third in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2010, the school was ranked the most popular school in NSW for high school applications.

Baulkham Hills is a suburb in the Hills District of Greater Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 30 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district within the local government area of The Hills Shire. Baulkham Hills is the administrative seat of The Hills Shire, an outer metropolitan shire within Greater Sydney. The suburb is also the most populous within the Hills Shire. It is known colloquially as "Baulko". Baulkham Hill's Norwest Business Park is home to several Fortune 500 companies, a number of shopping centres, high-rise buildings, and industrial and recreational spaces.

The suburb is north-west of the Sydney central business district, and encompasses 401 square kilometres (155 sq mi) stretching from the M2 Hills Motorway in the south to Wiseman's Ferry on the Hawkesbury River in the north. The Hills Shire had a population of 157,243 as at the 2016 census.The current mayor of The Hills Shire is Dr. Peter Gangemi (Liberal), who was elected on 21 December 2021.

Castle Hill railway station is an underground Sydney Metro station in Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The station, located opposite the Castle Towers shopping centre, was built as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest project, to serve train services to Rouse Hill and Chatswood. The station is planned to eventually serve trains to the Sydney central business district and Bankstown as part of the government's 20-year Sydney's Rail Future strategy.

Castle Towers Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The shopping complex is owned by the Queensland Investment Corporation. It has a net leasable area of approximately 112,000 square metres, making it one of Australia's largest shopping centres.

The Castle Hill convict rebellion was an 1804 convict rebellion in the Castle Hill area of Sydney, against the colonial authorities of the British colony of New South Wales. Led by veterans of the United Irish Rebellion of 1798, the poorly armed insurgents confronted the colonial forces of Australia on 5 March 1804 at Rouse Hill. Their rout in the resulting skirmish was hailed by loyalists as Australia's Vinegar Hill after the 1798 Irish Battle of Vinegar Hill, where rebels in Ireland were decisively defeated. The incident was the first major convict uprising in Australian history to be suppressed under martial law. On 4 March 1804, 233 convicts, led by Philip Cunningham, a veteran of the 1798 rebellion, as well as a mutineer on the convict transport ship Anne, escaped from a prison farm, intent on "capturing ships to sail to Ireland". In response, martial law was quickly declared in the colony. The mostly Irish rebels, having gathered reinforcements, were hunted by the colonial forces until they were caught on Rouse Hill on 5 March 1804. While negotiating under a flag of truce, Cunningham was arrested. The troops then charged, and the rebellion was suppressed. Nine of the rebel leaders were executed, and hundreds were punished, before martial law was revoked a week after the battle.

Castle Hill High School, located in Castle Street, Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia, is a co-educational and comprehensive school with students ranging from year 7 to year 12, established in 1963. Castle Hill High School generally performs well in the HSC, with many students achieving band 6s each year. In 2018, 231 were achieved, and one student attained the minimum possible rank in the state for their subject. Five students also received an all rounder award for achieving band 6s for a total of all their subjects. The school was recognised by Better Education HSC in their Sound Demonstration of merit regarding Effort in Mathematics and English, coming 84th in New South Wales as of late 2018 on the list.

Northmead European Rock carvings is a heritage-listed rock engraving at 226 (rear) Windsor Road, Northmead, City of Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Rogans Hill is a small district within the suburb of Castle Hill in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia within Hornsby Shire, and was named after John Rogan, a pioneer who had been given a grant of land in the area by Governor Macquarie in 1818. Its main attractions include The Hermitage, Oakhill College, Oakhill Drive Public School and the Anglican Retirement Villages. It was the destination of a railway line (the Rogans Hill line) which closed in 1932. Rogans Hill is also sometimes referred to as Oakhill.
