Yagihara Station (八木原駅, Yagihara-eki) is a passenger railway station in the city of Shibukawa, Gunma, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Gumma-Sōja Station (群馬総社駅, Gumma-Sōja-eki) is a railway station on the Jōetsu Line in Maebashi, Gunma, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Shoda Shoyu Stadium Gunma (正田醤油スタジアム群馬) (formerly Gunma Shikishima Athletic Stadium, renamed on June 1, 2008 for naming rights) is a multi-purpose stadium in Maebashi, Japan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. Sponsored by soy sauce maker Shoda Shoyu, which has its headquarters in nearby Tatebayashi, the stadium serves as a home ground of Thespakusatsu Gunma. The stadium holds 19,000 people.

Kōzuke Kokubun-ji (上野国分寺跡) was a Japanese Buddhist temple located on the border of what is now the cities of Maebashi and Takasaki Gunma Prefecture, Japan. It was one of the provincial temples established by Emperor Shōmu during the Nara period (710 – 794) for the purpose of promoting Buddhism as the national religion of Japan and standardising control of the Yamato rule to the provinces. The temple no longer exists, but the temple grounds were designated as a National Historic Site by the Japanese government in 1926. The ruins of the provincial nunnery, the Kōzuke Kokubun-niji (上野国分寺尼跡) is adjacent to they site but is not part of the National Historic Site designation.

Meiwa Gakuen Junior College (明和学園短期大学, Meiwa gakuen tanki daigaku) is a private junior college in Maebashi, Gunma, Japan. The predecessor of the school, founded in 1933, was chartered as a women's junior college in 1965. In 1999 it became coeducational.

Yamada Green Dome Maebashi (ヤマダグリーンドーム前橋, Yamada Gurīn Dōmu Maebashi) is an arena in Maebashi, Japan. With a capacity of 8,000, it is primarily used for indoor sports. One of its primary functions is as a velodrome - when it is known as Maebashi Velodrome (前橋競輪場, Maebashi Keirinjyō) - holding parimutuel Keirin races throughout the year. Some of the international sports meets held in the past include the 1990 UCI Track Cycling World Championships and the 1999 IAAF World Indoor Championships. It is the former home arena of the Gunma Crane Thunders of the B.League, Japan's professional basketball league.

The 1566 siege of Minowa was one of several battles fought by the Takeda clan in their campaigns to seize the lands of the Uesugi clan, during Japan's Sengoku period. It is part of a larger power struggle between Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin.Some years before, Nagano Narimasa, lord of Minowa castle and faithful retainer to the Uesugi, died. In order to protect the region from the depredations of the Takeda, the Nagano family kept his death a secret until his heir could settle into power. The Takeda attacked in 1566, and were held off for a time, with the young heir, Nagano Narimori, and famous swordsman Kamiizumi Hidetsuna, leading the defense. Intense hand-to-hand fighting eventually led to Hidetsuna leading a bold charge from the castle, which was initially successful. However, Narimori was killed soon afterwards, and the castle fell.

Maebashi Tōshō-gū (前橋東照宮) is a Shinto Shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu in the city of Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 1624.

Maebashi Castle (前橋城, Maebashi-jō) is a castle located in Maebashi, central Gunma Prefecture, Japan. At the end of the Edo period, Maebashi Castle was home to a branch of the Matsudaira clan, daimyō of Maebashi domain, although the castle was ruled by a large number of different clans over its history. The castle was also known as "Mayabashi-jō" (厩橋城), after the former name of Maebashi.

The Gunma Prefectural Government Building (群馬県庁舎, Gunma-ken Shōsha) is a skyscraper located in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. Construction of the 154-metre, 33-storey skyscraper was finished in 1999. It is the tallest building in Gunma Prefecture.
