Uithuizermeeden

Uithuizermeeden is a railway station located in Uithuizermeeden, The Netherlands. The station was opened on 16 August 1893 and is located on the Sauwerd–Roodeschool railway. The services are operated by Arriva.

The Rensumaborg is a borg in the village of Uithuizermeeden in Groningen in the Netherlands.

Hefshuizen is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Groningen. Hefshuizen was created in 1979, in the merger of the former municipalities of Uithuizen and Uithuizermeeden. In 1990, Kantens, Usquert, and Warffum were added, and in 1992, the name of the municipality was changed to Eemsmond.

Roodeschool is a railway station located in Roodeschool, Netherlands. The station was opened on 16 August 1893 and is located at the end of the Sauwerd–Roodeschool railway. The train services are operated by Arriva. For well over a century, Roodeschool was the northernmost station in the Netherlands, until 28 March 2018, when further along the line, the station Eemshaven was opened, slightly more north. At the same date, the old, head-end station, was closed and a new station for Roodeschool was opened, allowing trains to continue to Eemshaven.

Startenhuizen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈstɑrtə(n)ˌɦœyzə(n)]) is a hamlet at the border of the municipals Het Hogeland and Eemsdelta in the northeastern Netherlands. It is divided in two parts, the biggest in Eemsdelta, and a few farms in Het Hogeland. Startenhuizen is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Startenhuizen. It had place name signs, however some have been removed.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1391 as "to Stertingahusum". The etymology is unclear. In 1590, the church was demolished, and never replaced. Startenhuizen was home to 112 people in 1840. Nowadays, it consists of about 17 houses.

Boterdiep (Gronings: Botterdaip; translation: Butter Deep) is a canal in the Province of Groningen in the Netherlands. It was intended for the inland navigation. The name relates to the dairy products transported through the canal. It used to have its source in the centre of Groningen, but it has been rerouted to the Van Starkenborghkanaal.

't Zandt (Dutch pronunciation: [ət ˈsɑnt]; Gronings: t Zaand [ˈtsaːnt]) is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is located in the municipality of Eemsdelta. 't Zandt was a separate municipality until 1990, when it was merged with Loppersum. The municipality covered the villages 't Zandt, Zeerijp, Leermens, Eenum and Oosterwijwerd, and the hamlets Zijldijk, Kolhol, Korendijk and 't Zandstervoorwerk.
