Savannah College of Art and Design

The Savannah College of Art and Design Bees (or SCAD Savannah Bees or Savannah College of Art and Design Savannah Bees) are the athletic teams that represent the Savannah campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD Savannah), located in Savannah, Georgia, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Sun Conference (formerly known as the Florida Sun Conference (FSC) until after the 2007–08 school year) since the 2004–05 academic year; The Bees previously competed as an NAIA Independent during the 2003–04 school year (which they were a member on a previous stint from 1987–88 (when the school began intercollegiate athletics) to 1991–92); as well as a member of the Division III ranks of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as an NCAA D-III Independent from 1992–93 to 2002–03. As a college of Art and Design, the school offers a sports lineup unlike most colleges. Its Savannah location is one of the few colleges in the United States to offer a competitive equestrian program. SCAD Savannah previously sponsored basketball, but dropped the sport after the 2008–09 season.

The Jesse Mount House, also known as the Champion–McAlpin House, is a home in Savannah, Georgia, United States. The William Remshart Row House is a historic building in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It comprises the four properties between 102 and 111 West Jones Street, and was completed in 1853. It is a contributing property of the Savannah Historic District, itself on the National Register of Historic Places.In the mid-19th century, the property was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey as being significant for its representation of mid-19th-century Savannah row houses, particularly due to its high stoops. Other similar-style row houses exist in Savannah's Gordon Row, the Jones Street Quantock Row, the Chatham Square Quantock Row, Scudder's Row, McDonough Row and Marshall Row. It was built for William Remshart (1804–1878), a prominent Savannah commission merchant.

Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room is a casual restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, which offers a menu of Southern home cooking. Situated in a historic house dated to 1870, it is a popular dining spot in the city. The restaurant was owned and managed by Sema Wilkes for 59 years, from 1943 until her death in 2002 at age 95.

It comprises the six homes from 114 to 124 West Taylor Street, in the northeastern residential block of Chatham Square, and was completed in 1852. It is a contributing property of the Savannah Historic District, itself on the National Register of Historic Places. The row partly fills the block between Barnard Street to the west and Whitaker Street to the east and sits directly opposite Gordon Row. The properties were built for Allen William Quantock.Other similar-style row houses exist in Savannah's Scudder's Row, Gordon Row, the Jones Street Quantock Row, William Remshart Row House, McDonough Row and Marshall Row.

The Elizabeth, Isaac & Jacob Cohen House is a home in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It is located at 212 West Jones Street and was constructed in 1852.Part of the Savannah Historic District, the home was built for three members of the Cohen family. All minors at the time of the building's construction, it was likely a trust investment. By 1861 the property was owned by William Brantley, city alderman from 1860 to 1861. Charles W. Brunner later owned the property. Its roof was raised in 1872, making a fourth storey. Pulaski Square is one of the 22 squares of Savannah, Georgia, United States. It is located in the fourth row of the city's five rows of squares, on Barnard Street and West Macon Street, and was laid out in 1837. It is south of Orleans Square, west of Madison Square and north of Chatham Square. It is known for its live oaks. The oldest buildings on the square are the Theodosius Bartow House (126 West Harris Street) and the Bernard Constantine House (218 West Harris Street), which date to 1839.The square is named for General Casimir Pulaski, a Polish-born Revolutionary War hero who died of wounds received in the siege of Savannah (1779). It is one of the few squares without a monument; General Pulaski's statue (and, likely, his remains) is in nearby Monterey Square.Prior to the birth of the historical preservation movement and the restoration of much of Savannah's downtown, Pulaski sheltered a sizeable homeless population and was one of several squares that had been paved to allow traffic to drive straight through its center.The square is one of the few to have a parking lot occupy one of its blocks (in this case the northeastern trust lot).
