King's Landing Cemetery (also known as Hanford's Landing Cemetery) in Rochester, New York, was founded in 1798 at the site of the first European settlement in the Rochester area, and is the first cemetery to be established in the city. The cemetery is named after Gideon King, who came to the area in 1796, died two years later, and is buried in the cemetery with his two sons."King's Landing" refers to the landing point on the Genesee River, below the bluffs on which the cemetery is located. After the original settlement was disbanded in 1809, the area was resettled by seven brothers by name of Hanford, from Rome, New York, and thereafter came to be known as "Hanford's Landing".The cemetery is currently maintained by the Eastman Kodak Company. Many of the grave sites are unmarked, but some gravestones are scattered throughout the cemetery. A large monument at the front of the cemetery lists known graves by name and date of death. It was created in 2001 as part of a public-service project by Boy Scout Troop 68.

All City High is located at 1305 Lyell Avenue in Rochester, New York. It is a program for students in the Rochester City School District who are ages 17-21 and want a smaller, semester-based school.

The renovated cathedral is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Rochester and seat of the diocesan bishop, as well as home to a parish community. The parish is currently known as the Cathedral Community at The Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Maplewood Park, also known as Seneca Park West, is a landscaped public park in Rochester, New York, situated between Lake Avenue and the Genesee River. The two-mile-long (3.2 km) park features many trails along the river gorge and the river bank below, scenic views of two waterfalls and a nationally accredited Rose Garden. The park was laid out by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed nearby Highland Park, Genesee Valley Park, and Seneca Park, which is now a zoo.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Vanderbeck House, also known as the Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter House, is a historic home located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It is a three-story brick structure with a slate-covered mansard roof and a foundation of sandstone blocks. It was built in 1874 in the Second Empire style. In 1959, the single family home was converted to offices and apartments.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Maplewood Historic District is located in Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district is distinguished as having landscape designs, including Maplewood Park, originally laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted.The district consists of 432 contributing structures and four contributing sites. They include 245 contributing primary buildings (234 houses, two apartments, three churches, two church-related residences, three buildings associated with a church school, and one recreational facility). There are also 187 contributing outbuildings (carriagehouses and garages). The four contributing sites are three parks and one archaeological site. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. In 2016 its boundaries were increased to take in more properties.

Seneca Park Zoo is a 20-acre (6.3 ha) zoo located in the city of Rochester, New York, US. The zoo is home to over 90 species including mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish, and arachnids. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). The zoo is operated by Monroe County, with support from the Seneca Park Zoo Society. The zoo opened in 1894 in Seneca Park.

Saint Bernard's Seminary is a historic former Catholic seminary complex located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The educational institution formerly inhabiting the complex changed its name to St. Bernard's Institute and moved to the campus of Colgate Rochester Divinity School in 1981 and was renamed again to St. Bernard's School of Theology and Ministry when it moved to a new campus on French Road in 2003. The original property was owned by Kodak between 1982 and 1992. It was eventually sold to a private developer and is now a senior citizen residential complex.

The Veterans Memorial Bridge in Rochester, New York, carries New York State Route 104 (less well known as the Keeler Street Expressway) across the Genesee River. The bridge is an architecturally significant concrete arch faced with white granite. Conceived in 1928 and finished in 1931, the span is the longest bridge in Rochester at 981 feet (299 m). It is 190 feet (58 m) in height and 106 feet (32 m) wide. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Rochester, New York. Its original parcel was purchased in 1871 under Rochester’s first bishop, the Most Reverend Bernard J. McQuaid. The cemetery’s charter was granted by the State of New York in 1872 and a Board of Trustees was formed with Bishop McQuaid serving as its chairman. Lake Avenue transects this 340-acre cemetery. The west section is located between Dewey Avenue to the west and Lake Avenue to the east. The original east section of the cemetery is situated between the Genesee River to the east and Lake Avenue to the west. The neighboring Riverside Cemetery, operated by the City of Rochester, is also located between the Genesee River and Lake Avenue and is immediately north of Holy Sepulchre’s east section.

The Aquinas Institute of Rochester is a co-educational Catholic school in Rochester, New York established in 1902. Although The Aquinas Institute was founded as an all-male high school, it opened to female students in 1982. It is located within City of Rochester. It has stood at its current location on Dewey Avenue since 1925. Over 18,000 have graduated since the school opening.
