Tignes – Val d'Isère

The canton of Bourg-Saint-Maurice is an administrative division of the Savoie department, southeastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.It consists of the following communes:

Bourg-Saint-Maurice station (French: Gare de Bourg-Saint-Maurice) is a railway station in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in south-east France. The station is located at the end of the St-Pierre-d'Albigny-Bourg-Saint-Maurice railway. The station is served by TGV (high-speed long-distance) and TER (regional) services operated by SNCF. During the winter months Eurostar services from Amsterdam, Brussels and Lille travel to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The station was heavily rebuilt for the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. The station also features some sidings to store passenger trains when not in use. Juxtaposed controls are in fitted in the station for Eurostar passengers travelling to the United Kingdom (a routing not currently in service). Passengers clear Schengen Area exit checks (carried out by Customs officers) as well as UK immigration entry checks (conducted by the UK Border Force) in the station before boarding their train on a secure, gated platform.

Bourg-Saint-Maurice (French pronunciation: [buʁ sɛ̃ mɔʁis, - moʁ-] ; Arpitan: Bôrg-Sant-Mori or simply Le Bôrg), popularly known as Bourg, is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Located on the Italian border south of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, it had a population of 7,252 as of 2018. It serves as a transport hub for the Paradiski ski area, with direct rail travel from London (Connecting in Lille), and Amsterdam during the winter.

Ouvrage Cave-à-Canon is a lesser work (petit ouvrage) of the Maginot Line's Alpine extension, the Alpine Line. Started in 1937, the ouvrage consists of one infantry block about one kilometer east of Bourg St. Maurice, on the south bank of the Isère. A short gallery with cross galleries extends into the rock, with an emergency exit and ventilation shaft halfway back. The ouvrage was incomplete in 1940, under the command of Lieutenant Courteaud.Cave-à-Canon, and with Ouvrage Chatelard across the valley to the north, and several pre-1914 forts on the heights around Bourg-Saint-Maurice, were placed to block an advance over the Little St Bernard Pass toward Albertville.

Séez (French pronunciation: [se]; Arpitan: Sé) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is located In the Tarentaise valley, between the Little St Bernard Pass and the edge of the Vanoise National Park.

Les Chapelles (French pronunciation: [le ʃapɛl]; Arpitan: Lé Tsapéle) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.

Landry (French pronunciation: [lɑ̃dʁi]) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. As of 2018, there are 821 inhabitants.

Gare de Landry is a railway station located in Landry, Savoie, south-eastern France. The station is located on the Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny - Bourg-Saint-Maurice railway. The train services are operated by SNCF. It serves the village of Landry and neighbouring ski resorts of Peisey-Vallandry and Montchavin-les Coches. The station is served by TGV and Eurostar high speed services, as well as local TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes services.

Les Arcs (French pronunciation: [le.z‿aʁk]) is a ski resort located in Savoie, France, in the Tarentaise Valley town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Initially created by Robert Blanc and Roger Godino, it is a part of the huge Paradiski system which is under ownership by Compagnie des Alpes, a French-listed company owning several other ski resorts as well as theme parks.

The Pointe de la Terrasse (2,881 m) is a mountain in the Beaufortain Massif in Savoie, France.

The Vanoise Express is a French double-decker cable car that links La Plagne with Les Arcs ski resorts in the Alps, acting as a vital link in the Paradiski area. Ordered by Compagnie des Alpes and built by Poma in time for the '03-'04 season, the lift stretches 1,800 m (5,900 ft), 380 m (1,250 ft) over the valley, takes 4 minutes to cross, and cost over 15 million Euro to complete. It was officially opened in December 2003. It has a capacity of over 200 people. It is not a conventional cable car. The two units can operate separately and have individual spare engines. The lift operates without any supporting pylons. As a result of safety inspections in December 2007, the operators announced that this lift would remain shut for the entire 2007/2008 season as repairs could not be undertaken until the spring. This closure effectively shut down Paradiski for that season. It opened up again for 2008–09. It takes about 7–10 minutes to get from one ski area to another.

Peisey-Nancroix (French pronunciation: [pɛzɛ nɑ̃kʁwa]; Arpitan: Péjèy) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in southeastern France.
