Bare Hill Correctional Facility is a medium security state prison in Franklin County, New York, United States. The prison in the Town of Malone. Bare Hill C.F. is located by Franklin Correctional Facility, a medium security prison and Upstate Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison. The prison opened in 1988, and as of 2010 had a working capacity of 1722. Among the programs offered to the inmates is participation in social programs to aid residents of the region. Almost every prisoner has a work assignment, either within or outside the prison.

It measures approximately 40 feet by 120 feet.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Malone Armory is a historic National Guard armory building located at Malone in Franklin County, New York. It is a brick and stone castle-like structure built in 1892, designed to be reminiscent of medieval military structures in Europe. It was designed by State Architect Isaac G. Perry. It consists of a 2-story, steeply pitched hipped roofed administration building with an attached 1+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed drill shed. The building is built of Potsdam sandstone and features a 3+1⁄2-story round tower on the administration building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Anselm Lincoln House is a historic home located at Malone in Franklin County, New York. It was built in 1830 and has a 2-story rectangular main block, three bays long by two bays wide, and 1+1⁄2-story wing. It is built of beautifully cut and fitted ashlar block, two feet thick. It is believed to be the oldest stone house in Franklin County. It was donated to the North Country Community College in 1974.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Flanagan Hotel In Malone, New York was built in 1917, is the second hotel of this name to be located on the corner of East Main street and Elm Street in the Village of Malone. The Flanagan family owned a much smaller hotel at this location which was founded in 1857. The older hotel was a meeting place during the historical Fenian Raids. The Current building is still to date the largest building in the historic downtown of Malone. In the Flanagan's heyday it was said by locals and travelers alike that it was the largest hotel north of Albany, New York . The hotel suffered a horrendous fire in 1997 supposedly started by someone falling asleep while smoking on their bed in their hotel room. The building from the fire, in 1997, to 2007 was undisturbed. The Flanagan is thought to be an eyesore by many while others see it as a link to Malone's prominent and historical past started the aggressive campaigns of William A. Wheeler to bring The New York Central and Rutland Railroads to town. It is currently partial renovated sitting at a standstill after Frank Cositore, the old owner got foreclosed on in 2009. After sitting for numerous years, he is trying to negotiate to buy back the 120+ year old hotel. The hotel was planned to become a 5 star Best Western Hotel with multiple restaurants, a night club, and a pool on the Roof. This was not widely appreciated by the community because was concerted overambitious. There have been many new plans. For example, there is one that scales down the budget by 4 million dollars and breaks the project up into 3 more economically feasible small projects. There has also been talk of turning the Flanagan in to college dorms for North Country Community College. Additionally NCCC has recently held community art exhibits in the partially renovated hotel.

It is built of Potsdam sandstone. From 1917 into the 1950s, it was operated by the Malone Milling Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
