Evans station (RTD)

Grant-Frontier Park is a park at Evans Ave. on the east bank of the South Platte River in southwest Denver, Colorado. It is the site of the Montana City settlement. The park was named in honor of Grant Junior High School (now Grant Middle School) whose teachers and students were responsible for discovering the site, cleaning and restoring it, and researching the history of Montana City. The park features reconstructed and historical artifacts from the original 1858 settlement, the first in the Denver area. There is a log cabin with a sod roof, a conestoga wagon and some placer mining devices, like a sluice and rocker box. Grant Frontier Park Vision

Montana City was the first settlement in what was later to become Denver, Colorado. It was established during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush on the east bank of the South Platte River, just north of the confluence with Little Dry Creek, in 1858. At the time, the site was in the Kansas Territory. The site selected because it was adjacent to placer gold diggings along the South Platte River. However, the gold diggings at Montana City proved disappointing, and the site was soon abandoned in favor of the settlement of Auraria, a few miles downstream. The Montana City site is now Grant-Frontier Park and includes mining equipment and a log cabin replica.

Swallow Hill Music is a Denver, Colorado based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving roots, acoustic and folk music. The school is inspired by the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. Swallow Hill hosts hundreds of concerts a year ranging from national acts, such as Sheryl Crow and Josh Ritter, to many talented local artists and former students.

Denver Christian School is a private college preparatory Christian school that serves preschool through 12th graders in Lakewood, Colorado. It was founded in 1916.

Ruby Hill Rail Yard is a ski and snowboard terrain park located in Denver, Colorado at the intersection of Platte River Drive and Jewell Avenue, in Ruby Hill Park near downtown Denver. Ruby Hill Rail Yard is made possible by Winter Park Resort, Denver Parks and Recreation, Christy Sports, TechnoAlpin, Denver Water, Choose Outdoors, The North Face, Wahoo's Fish Tacos, Snowboard Outreach Society (SOS), and over 30 volunteers.

KDCO (1340 kHz) is a noncommercial AM radio station licensed to Denver, Colorado. The station is owned by El Sembrador Ministries and carries its ESNE Radio network, featuring Spanish-language Catholic radio programming.

KLDC (1220 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Denver, Colorado. The station is currently owned by Crawford Broadcasting Company, DBA KLZ Radio, Inc. KLDC, along with sister station 670 KLTT, broadcasts a Christian talk and teaching radio format. While KLTT carries mostly national religious leaders, KLDC is home for numerous local preachers and ministries. Two exceptions are David Jeremiah and Charles Stanley, both heard on KLDC. AM 1220 is a Mexican clear channel frequency; because of this, KLDC broadcasts at a low power at night of only 11 watts to prevent interference with other stations. Daytime power is also fairly low, at 660 watts. By contrast, KOA in Denver runs at 50,000 watts around the clock.

Ruby Hill is a neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The neighborhood takes its name from Ruby Hill, a 5,390 ft (1,640 m) elevation hill in the neighborhood that overlooks much of South Denver. The hill itself was named for red stones found in the area by early miners, stones that turned out to be garnets.

Porter Adventist Hospital is a 368-bed acute care hospital located in the University of Denver/Harvard Park area of Denver, Colorado. Porter Adventist specializes in treating patients with cardiac care, cancer care, joint replacement, behavioral health, spinal care and transplant needs. Porter is a regional referral center for complex medicine and surgeries such as kidney, liver and pancreas transplants, open-heart surgeries and cancer care. In 2009, Porter Adventist was recognized as achieving quality care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The hospital also was ranked No. 1 in Colorado (and in the top 10 percent nationally) for overall cardiac care, cardiology services and coronary interventional procedures by HealthGrades, the leading national independent healthcare ratings organization. Porter employs 1,450 people and has a medical staff of more than 1,000 physicians and allied health professionals. The hospital runs a range of community outreach programs including the Kidney Early Evaluation Program and the Body of Knowledge Community Seminars, and supports Doctors Care, a program that provides health care to low-income, uninsured Coloradans. They also donate medications, supplies and staff time to overseas medical missions. The hospital invests $40 million a year in charity care and underwriting medical care for the uninsured.

Little Dry Creek is a short tributary of the South Platte River, approximately 10 miles (16 km) long, in Arapahoe County, Colorado in the United States. The creek drains a suburban area south of Denver. It rises in Centennial, Arapahoe County, west of I-25, and flows generally northwest into Englewood. It has historically been used for irrigation and feeds an aqueduct that runs parallel to it. The creek flows into South Platte just south of West Dartmouth Avenue approximately two tenths of a mile west of its intersection with Santa Fe Drive which is US 85. The Little Dry Creek Trail intersects the Highline Canal Trail in Cherry Hills Village. The mouth of the creek is noted as the location of the first significant gold discovery in present-day Colorado. In the first week of July 1858, Green Russell and his brothers discovered a gold pocket that yielded several hundred dollars' worth of gold. The discovery set off the Colorado Gold Rush in the following year.

The Pike's Peak Gold Rush (later known as the Colorado Gold Rush) was the boom in gold prospecting and mining in the Pike's Peak Country of western Kansas Territory and southwestern Nebraska Territory of the United States that began in July 1858 and lasted until roughly the creation of the Colorado Territory on February 28, 1861. An estimated 100,000 gold seekers took part in one of the greatest gold rushes in North American history.The participants in the gold rush were known as "Fifty-Niners" after 1859, the peak year of the rush and often used the motto Pike's Peak or Bust! In fact, the location of the Pike's Peak Gold Rush was centered 85 miles (137 km) north of Pike's Peak. The name Pike's Peak Gold Rush was used mainly because of how well known and important Pike's Peak was at the time.

The Gothic Theatre is a former movie theater turned music venue in Englewood, Colorado. It was built in the 1920s and revitalized in 1998. Since the theater re-opened in 1998, it has held an abundance of events, ranging from local concerts to private events and film showcases.
