KATB (89.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a religious radio format. Licensed to Anchorage, Alaska, United States, it serves the Anchorage area. The station is currently owned by Christian Broadcasting Inc radio group.

South Anchorage High School is a public high school that serves grades 9-12 in Anchorage, Alaska, as well as students from neighboring Turnagain Arm communities of Girdwood and Indian. South Anchorage High School is part of the Anchorage School District, and opened in the fall of 2004. The official school colors of South are black and gold, and its mascot is the wolverine. As of November 25, 2016, the school had an enrollment of 1,459.

Hilltop Ski Area is a ski area in Anchorage, Alaska established in 1984. Located in Far North Bicentennial Park near Chugach State Park at the base of the Chugach Mountains, Hilltop Ski Area is owned and operated by Youth Exploring Adventure, Inc., an Anchorage nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1979 to provide recreational programs for Anchorage youth.

The Alaska Zoo is a zoo in Anchorage, Alaska, located on 25 acres (10 ha) of the Anchorage Hillside. It is a popular attraction in Alaska, with nearly 200,000 visitors per year.The zoo is currently home to more than 100 birds and mammals representing some 50 species. The zoo has the widest variety of animals native to the state of Alaska as well as some exotics such as Amur tigers, Bactrian camels, and yaks. In addition to viewing, the zoo specializes in education, research, wildlife conservation, and animal rehabilitation; many of the animals currently in the zoo were found orphaned or injured.

Rabbit Creek is one of several streams that flow through the city of Anchorage, Alaska. It runs for 15 miles from the Chugach Mountains to Turnagain Arm. Before English-speaking settlers arrived in Anchorage, the Dena'ina called the creek "Ggeh Betnu."

Robert Service High School is a public high school in Anchorage, Alaska. It had an enrollment of 1,779 students as of August 2, 2016. Serving grades 9 through 12, the school was named for the poet Robert W. Service. Part of the Anchorage School District, the school opened in 1971 and was the last of four high schools built by the district (its lineal predecessor, the Anchorage Independent School District) within a decade. Service High originally operated as Service-Hanshew; as was the case common within Anchorage during that time, junior and senior high schools shared a single building. Included in the case with other junior-senior high schools in Anchorage, a separate structure was built to educate the junior student body and referred as Hanshew Middle School in the period of the 1980s oil glut. This is located approximately two miles west of Service along the Lake Otis Parkway. The school completed a partial renovation in 2005. The official school colors are green and gold, and its mascot is the cougar. Service High School's current principal is Allen Wardlaw.

The Far North Bicentennial Park is the largest park in Anchorage, in U.S. state of Alaska, and has over 1 million annual visitors. The park contains the Hilltop Ski Area, the Alaska Botanical Garden, over 100 miles of multi-use trails, and access to Chugach State Park.In 2018 a rodeo cow escaped into the park. The cow has not been recovered but has been spotted by park visitors.

The Anchorage Alaska Temple is the 54th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The temple serves church members in Alaska and the Yukon Territory.

The Alaska Botanical Garden is a 110-acre (44.5 ha) botanical garden located inside the Far North Bicentennial Park at 4601 Campbell Airstrip Road, Anchorage, Alaska, United States. It is an independent non-profit organization which opened in 1993, is open year-round, and charges admission to support its mission. The mission of the Garden it to enhance the beauty and value of plant material through education, preservation, recreation and research.The Garden's land consists mainly of spruce and birch forest. It features 8 developed demonstration gardens and a special location for Junior Master Gardeners. 80 acres (32.4 ha) of the site is fenced to protect these gardens from moose. The gardens include: Over 1,100 species of perennials in the Upper and Lower Perennial Gardens (of which some 150 are native to Alaska) An herb garden A rock garden with over 350 types of alpine plants A wildflower walk The 1.1-mile (1.8 km) Lowenfels Family Nature Trail

The Alaska Baptist Convention (ABC) is an autonomous association of Baptist churches located in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is one of the state conventions associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The first Southern Baptist church in Alaska was established in 1943, with just 17 members, and the ABC was formed in 1946. Today, Alaskan Southern Baptists are the largest Protestant denomination in Alaska with over 20,000 members.

H2Oasis Indoor Waterpark is a 56,000 square foot (5,200 m2) indoor water park located in Anchorage, Alaska, United States, just east of the Seward Highway at 1520 O'Malley Road. It opened in 2003 and was, at the time, the fifth largest indoor waterpark in the United States.

Wayland Baptist University (Alaska) is an extension of Wayland Baptist University, a private, coeducational Baptist university based in Plainview, Texas. It maintains external campuses in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. According to the University website, Wayland Baptist University - Anchorage was established in 1985 (1985). The Anchorage campus located at 7801 E. 32nd Ave at the corner of E. 32nd Ave. and Old Muldoon Road. The Anchorage campus also operates teaching sites in Wasilla, JBER-Richardson, and JBER-Elmendorf.The Fairbanks campus was established in 1985 at Eielson Air Force Base as an extension of the Alaska campus in Anchorage and began to operate independently in 1999. The Fairbanks campus also operates teaching sites in Fort Wainwright, AK and North Pole, AK.Both campuses offer four 11 week terms, with classes during weekday evenings, or on weekends. The Fairbanks campus also offers hybrid classes, which meet face-to-face, online, or a combination of the two.
