The Crabtree Jones House, also known historically as the Nathaniel Jones Jr. House, is a residence at 3108 Hillmer Drive in Raleigh, North Carolina. Constructed around 1808-1811 (by dendrochronological dating in 2014) by Nathaniel Jones, it is one of the few remaining large scale plantation homes in Wake County, and one of the oldest private residences in Raleigh. The home has received several additions since its initial construction, but is mainly known for its Federal-style front. Owned by the Jones family for more than 150 years, the house has fallen into disrepair in more recent decades. Following the purchase of the land the house sat upon by developers in 2012, Preservation North Carolina acquired the house and had it moved to a nearby residential neighborhood, where it sits today. The Crabtree Jones house was greatly influenced by the historical events it stood through while in turn influencing the way the Raleigh community developed around it, through both its people and through its land.

The James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal, formerly known as the Pope Center for Higher Education Policy and simply the Pope Center, is an American conservative nonprofit institute located in Raleigh, North Carolina.The Martin Center is one of several public policy centers underwritten by the John William Pope Foundation.The Martin Center changed its name in January 2017 and is named after former North Carolina Governor James G. Hawkins-Hartness House is a historic home located at Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built about 1880, and is a 21⁄2-story, Eastlake-style brick dwelling with a four-story tower and numerous two-story projections. It features a one-story hip-roof Eastlake movement style front porch. The house has been converted from a residence to a state office building, housing the office of the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Millbrook, North Carolina, United States, was a village in Wake County at that time in the intersection of then Wake Forest Road and then Main Street, which is now part of East Millbrook Road. However, the growth of Raleigh since the 1970s has swallowed up the village. Milbrook High School in Raleigh is named after the village and is located in what used to be Millbrook.

The Hi-Mount Historic District is a historic neighborhood located two miles north of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The eleven-block district, developed between 1938 and 1951, is one of the city's best-preserved twentieth century speculative neighborhoods. The district encompasses 168 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site. Most of Hi-Mount's homes are Minimal Traditional in style, followed by Cape Cod and Ranch homes with sparse detailing. A small number of developers were involved with the district and the district also benefited from government housing financing programs such as the Federal Housing Administration and the Veteran's Administration, resulting in architectural consistency throughout the neighborhood.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Royal India is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was established in 1990 off Capital Boulevard, which is a section of U.S. Route 1 in North Carolina. Royal India has received reviews for the best Indian cuisine from media outlets based in the Triangle area of North Carolina. There is a dramatic increase in the population of South Asian Indians in the neighboring city of Morrisville, where Indian population jumped from 4 percent in 2000 to 20 percent in 2010. This allowed establishment of many new Indian restaurants in Western Raleigh, Cary and Morrisville. Over the years, Royal India has marketed in diverse communities. Royal India hosted an ethnic food event - Ethnosh in April 2015.

Captrust Tower is a 17-story 260 feet (79 m) mixed use high-rise building located in North Hills, Raleigh, North Carolina. The tower opened in the fall of 2009. It has 274,000 square feet (25,500 m2) of office space and 28,400 square feet (2,640 m2) of retail space. It is named for Captrust Financial Advisors, the first tenant, which uses 51,000 square feet (4,700 m2) on the top two floors for its headquarters. Captrust Tower was built by Duke Realty Corp. of Indianapolis and Kane Realty Corp. of Raleigh. KSB realty Advisors of Newport Beach, California announced its $98.4 million purchase of the building January 31, 2013.When the tower was announced in 2007, Captrust Financial Advisors had 75 employees and managed $20 billion in assets, with plans to expand westward. The company advised companies with retirement plans as well as individuals.

Vanguard Park Historic District is a national historic district located between Bloomsbury and Roanoke Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is one of Raleigh's historic Five Points neighborhoods. Like Roanoke Park, its homes reflect the variety of popular architectural styles from the 1920s through the 1950s and are similar to those found in the nearby prestigious suburb of Hayes Barton, but are more modest in scale. Notably, the popular Colonial style was not used due to Vanguard Park's narrower lots.Construction began in this district along its south and west edges in 1920 with modestly sized American Craftsman bungalows and front-gabled houses. Building slowed considerably during the Depression; homes built in the following years were one- and two-story houses in the Minimal Traditional style. During World War II construction stopped abruptly, only to rebound robustly during the post-war housing shortage. Nearly fifty houses went up in Vanguard Park between 1945 and 1952; Pine Avenue was filled with houses in a single year. Most of these early post-war houses continued to use the Minimal Traditional style.The Gothic Revival style Westminster Presbyterian Church, formerly North Vanguard Church, is the sole institutional building in Vanguard Park.Vanguard Park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
