KPRR (102.1 FM "Power 102 FM"), is a commercial radio station in El Paso, Texas. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and airs a rhythmic contemporary radio format. It offers a more broad-based direction in its playlist than most other rhythmic stations, with a mix of R&B/Hip-Hop, Dance, Hurban and Rhythmic Pop fare. KPRR has its studios and offices on North Mesa Street (Texas State Highway 20).KPRR broadcasts from a transmitter in the Franklin Mountains. Its signal covers parts of Texas, New Mexico and the Mexican state of Chihuahua, including Ciudad Juárez. KPRR's studios are located along Mesa Drive in West Central El Paso. KPRR is one of two contemporary hit stations in the El Paso-Juárez radio market, with 104.3 XHTO-FM as the other. KPRR broadcasts in the HD Radio format. The studios and offices are on North Mesa Street (Texas State Highway 20) in West Central El Paso. Evenings feature the syndicated Delilah call-in and request show. On Sunday mornings, Dave Koz hosts a smooth jazz show. The rest of the schedule features local DJs. The transmitter is located off Scenic Drive in El Paso, in the Franklin Mountains, at one of the highest sites in the state of Texas. The signal covers parts of Texas, New Mexico and the Mexican state of Chihuahua. KTSM-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 87,000 watts (100,000 with beam tilt). The station broadcasts in the HD Radio hybrid format. Its HD2 subchannel airs an oldies format known as "The Beatles and Friends."

The Star on the Mountain is a man-made star-shaped landmark on the Franklin Mountains in El Paso, Texas, that is illuminated nightly by the El Paso Chamber of Commerce. It was first lit as a Christmas decoration in 1940 and was meant as a reminder to people on both sides of the nearby Mexico–United States border that America was at peace during the holiday season. It has also been compared to the similar Roanoke Star in Virginia. The five-point star consists of 459 bulbs and is visible from the air at up to 100 miles (160 km) away. It was previously only lit during the holiday season but is now maintained year-round by the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and the El Paso Electric Company.

Wyler Aerial Tramway is an aerial tramway in El Paso, Texas, United States. The tramway is operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and is located in Franklin Mountains State Park. The tramway complex covers 196 acres (0.79 km2) on the east side of the Franklin Mountains. The gondolas travel along two 2600 foot 1 3/8" diameter steel cables to Ranger Peak, 5,632 feet (1,717 m) above sea level. The trip takes about four minutes and lifts riders up 940 vertical feet above the boarding area. From Ranger Peak you can see three states and two countries on a clear day. The tramway was closed indefinitely to the public in September 2018.

Kern Place is a historic neighborhood on the West side of El Paso, Texas. The neighborhood lies just east of the University of Texas at El Paso, and north of downtown. Kern is part of District 1 in the City of El Paso and currently represented by Peter Svarzbein. The neighborhood was created by Peter E. Kern, and once had an unusual gate marking the entrance. Madeline Park in the center of the neighborhood is named after Kern's daughter. Businesses and a small entertainment district border the eclectic housing featured in the neighborhood.

Kiki's Mexican Restaurant and Bar is located in El Paso, Texas and serves Mexican food. The restaurant was founded in 1976 and is known for their machaca, enchiladas, and mole. Kiki's has made the national list of Hispanic's 50 Best Hispanic restaurants several years in a row and was featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate.

The Montana Avenue Historic District in El Paso, Texas is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It includes area of 26 acres (11 ha), in the 1000 through 1500 blocks of Montana Avenue. It included 69 contributing buildings: 51 houses, two churches, and 13 garages, as well as non-contributing buildings (mostly garages in the alley behind the houses).It is a mostly residential area located in the Franklin Heights Addition at the foothills of the Franklin Mountains, about 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of El Paso's central business district. It includes two-story brick Prairie Style, Classical Revival, and Queen Anne style works, including several designed by architect Henry C. Trost.

El Paso High School is the oldest operating high school in El Paso, Texas, and is part of the El Paso Independent School District. It serves the west-central section of the city, roughly south and west of the Franklin Mountains and north of Interstate 10 to the vicinity of Executive Center Boulevard. It is fed by Wiggs Middle School, into which the three elementary schools in its feeder pattern, Lamar, Mesita, and Vilas, graduate.
