Nine Mile station

On December 14, 1993, four employees were shot and killed and a fifth employee was seriously injured at a Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant in Aurora, Colorado, United States. The perpetrator, 19-year-old Nathan Dunlap, a former employee of the restaurant, was frustrated about being fired five months prior to the shooting and sought revenge by committing the attack. He fled the scene of the shooting with stolen money and restaurant items. Dunlap was found guilty of four counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and other charges, and was sentenced to death by lethal injection on May 17, 1996. A judge initially set an execution date for him in August 2013, but Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper signed a temporary reprieve that postponed Dunlap's execution date. Dunlap's death sentence was commuted to life in prison without parole in 2020 after Colorado abolished the death penalty.

Cherry Creek Dam (National ID # CO01280) is a dam in Arapahoe County, Colorado southeast of Denver. The earthen dam was constructed between 1948 and 1950 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers with a height of 141 feet (43 m) and a length of 14,300 feet (4,400 m) at its crest. It impounds Cherry Creek, a tributary of the South Platte River, for flood control. The dam and reservoir are owned and operated by the Corps of Engineers. The reservoir it creates, Cherry Creek Reservoir, has a water surface of 880 acres (360 ha), and a maximum capacity of 134,470 acre-feet (170 million cubic meters). Recreation at the reservoir centers on the facilities of the adjacent Cherry Creek State Park, which offers camping, radio-controlled aircraft, picnicking, opportunities for bird watching, cross country skiing, fishing, horseback riding and an outdoor shooting range.

Overland High School is located in Aurora, Colorado, United States, and is part of the Cherry Creek School District. Overland High School is a comprehensive public, suburban, college-oriented institution. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges and by the Colorado State Department of Education. Overland High School was selected to be on Newsweek's America's Top High Schools 2010 list. Construction has been completed on a state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or IST Center, built on the esplanade between Prairie Middle School and Overland High School. The 58,000-square-foot (5,400 m2) center opened in August 2011. It serves 6th through 12th graders. Programming includes areas of concentration in bio-science, computer science, medicine and information technology.

Iliff station is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail station in Aurora, Colorado. The station is located alongside Interstate 225 at Iliff Avenue, a little more than one block west of South Blackhawk Street. The station opened on February 24, 2017, and is served by the H and R lines. Iliff station has a 600 space parking structure owned and operated by the City of Aurora. A transit-oriented development project including 424 residences is under construction southeast of the station.

Cherry Creek State Park is a state park in Arapahoe County, Colorado, United States. The park consists of a natural prairie and wetland environment with an 880-acre (3.6 km2) reservoir at its center which is shared by powerboats, sailboats, and paddle craft. An imported-sand swim beach is situated on the north-eastern side along with ample parking. The park has 12 miles (19 km) of paved roads and 35 miles (56 km) of multi-use trails open to runners, cyclists, and horseback riders. There are facilities for camping, radio-controlled aircraft, picnicking, as well as opportunities for bird watching, cross country skiing, and fishing. The park also contains an outdoor shooting range. There is a dock where people can store their boats during the summer. People can also rent jet skis, paddle boards and kayaks for the day. There is a boat house that has concerts during the summer, serves food and has a bar.

The 2021 Colorado mid-air collision (also known as The Centennial Miracle, The Centennial Mid-Air Miracle or Miracle on the Centennial) occurred on approach to Centennial Airport near Denver, Colorado, on 12 May 2021.

The Medical Center of Aurora ("TMCA") serves Aurora, Colorado and the eastern Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Area (metro area) with four separate campuses providing a wide range of health care services. It was founded in 1974; it now employs more than 1,200 people and is part of HealthONE, the largest health care system in the metro area. Currently, there are more than 450 doctors on staff and 346 beds.

KQCK (channel 33) is a religious television station licensed to Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States, serving the markets of Cheyenne and Denver, Colorado, as an owned-and-operated station of the Christian Television Network (CTN). The station's studios are located on Yates Street in the Denver suburb of Westminster, and its transmitter is located on Horsetooth Mountain, just outside Fort Collins, Colorado. KQDK-CD (channel 16) in Denver operates as a low-power, Class A digital translator of KQCK; this station's transmitter is located near East Iliff Avenue and South Emporia Avenue (near SH 83) in southeastern Denver.

Florida station is an RTD light rail station in Aurora, Colorado, United States. The station, located at the intersection of East Florida Avenue and South Abilene Street, is served by the H Line and R Line. A pedestrian bridge connects the station platform on the east side of I-225 with The Medical Center of Aurora and related medical offices as well as the residential neighborhood on the west side of I-225. During planning and construction, RTD designated the station "Medical Center of Aurora – Florida"; the reference to the hospital was dropped prior to the station's opening on February 24, 2017. This is the southern terminus of the H line, trains use a pocket track just north of the station to reverse directions.

Dayton station is an island platformed RTD light rail station in Aurora, Colorado, United States. Operating as part of the H and R lines, the station was opened on November 17, 2006, and is operated by the Regional Transportation District.
