Los Angeles Township was a defunct township in Los Angeles County, California. It existed prior to the abolition of townships in California in the 1870s. Los Angeles Township consisted of areas surrounding the original city lands of Los Angeles, then a four-league square bordered by Hoover Street, Fountain Avenue, Indiana Street and Exposition Boulevard. These included the San Fernando Valley and present-day West Los Angeles and East Los Angeles. Most of this area has now been annexed to the city of Los Angeles, but a few portions exist as independent cities, including Glendale, Burbank and Santa Monica. The 1860 census reported a population of 1,231 and the 1870 census reported a population of 2,757. By the 1880 census, the township had been abolished; some of it had been annexed to the City of Los Angeles and the rest was divided among the San Fernando Township (San Fernando Valley), La Ballona Township (Westside) and San Antonio Township (Huntington Park area).

St. Charles Borromeo Church is a Catholic church and elementary school located at Moorpark and Lankershim in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. It is one of the oldest parishes in the San Fernando Valley dating back to 1921. It has long been a parish with celebrity members and was the site of funerals for Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, and Robert Urich among other notables

Donte's was a jazz club and diner and cocktail bar at 4269 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, to the north of Universal Studios. One of the West Coast's best known jazz clubs in the 1970s and 1980s, it opened in 1966 and closed in 1988.

Oakwood School is a K-12 co-educational independent day school located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. The school consists of two campuses: the elementary school campus in Studio City, and the secondary school campus in North Hollywood. The school was founded in 1951 by a small group of parents who were unhappy with other schools available and wanted to create a school where artistic ideals and educational goals could be met with the utmost respect and support for students.

The Two Roads Theater is a 60-seat black box theatre, with an elevated stage, located in Studio City, California at 4348 Tujunga Ave in the Little Tujunga Village neighborhood. Originally built in 1986, and housed in a building constructed in 1946, the intimate theater was remodeled and refurbished in 2003 shortly after it was purchased by Rick and Shari Shaw from Edmund Gaynes, currently operator of the St Luke's Theater in New York City. The Two Roads Theater is a member of the NoHo Arts District, in North Hollywood, the Valley Theater League and the Tujunga Village Merchants’ Association. The Two Roads was named “LA's Most Charming Small Theatre” by the Studio City Sun in 2008 and is home to original stage comedies and musicals, live comedy, improv and music shows, film screenings, seminars, acting classes, workshops and the Valley Film Festival. Located within the Two Roads Theater is the Two Roads Gallery - a hybrid gallery of contemporary art. In June 2011, The Two Roads presented the world premiere of "Kowalski", a new play by Gregg Ostrin.

The Hollywood Split (officially Bruce T. Hinman Memorial Interchange) is a freeway interchange in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. The interchange is officially named in the memory of California Highway Patrol officer Bruce T. Hinman, who was killed by a drunk driver. It is the interchange of the following routes: US 101 (Ventura Freeway/Hollywood Freeway) – Ventura, Los Angeles SR 134 east (Ventura Freeway) – Pasadena SR 170 north (Hollywood Freeway) – Sacramento

Universal City/Studio City station is an underground rapid transit (known locally as a subway) station on the B Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located under Lankershim Boulevard at its intersection of Campo de Cahuenga and Universal Hollywood Drive in the neighborhoods of Universal City and Studio City, after which the station is named. The station is located near the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, the Universal CityWalk entertainment complex, and the NBCUniversal studio complex. The station was built around the historic Campo de Cahuenga, an adobe ranch house on the where the Treaty of Cahuenga was signed in 1847, ending hostilities in California between Mexico and the United States.

The Campo de Cahuenga, ( (listen)) near the historic Cahuenga Pass in present-day Studio City, California, was an adobe ranch house on the Rancho Cahuenga where the Treaty of Cahuenga was signed between Lieutenant Colonel John C. Frémont and General Andrés Pico in 1847, ending hostilities in California between Mexico and the United States. The subsequent Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848, ceding California, parts of Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona (but not Texas since it had seceded from Mexico in 1836, declared itself a republic, and joined the union in 1845) to the United States, formally ended the Mexican–American War. From 1858 to 1861 the Campo de Cahuenga became a Butterfield Stage Station.

10 Universal City Plaza (10 UCP) is a 35-story, 154.23 m (506.0 ft) rhombic skyscraper in Universal City, California near Los Angeles. The tower was completed in 1984 by Hathaway Dinwiddie, and was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and contains 820,000 sq ft (76,000 m2) of office space. It is the tallest building in the San Fernando Valley. French conglomerate Vivendi Universal sold the building to CarrAmerica Realty Corporation and Beacon Capital Partners in 2003, for $190 million. CarrAmerica have owned 80% of this building, while Vivendi and NBC Universal owned the remainder. The building was sold to Broadway Partners in December 2006. The firm lost control of the building in March 2008 in an auction to a partnership between Normandy Real Estate Partners and Five Mile Capital Partners for $306 million after Broadway failed to service its massive debt load.On October 3, 2013, it was reported by the LA Times that NBCUniversal's parent company Comcast Corporation had purchased the building for about $420 million.

The Baked Potato is a prominent jazz club on Cahuenga Boulevard in Studio City, Los Angeles, California, opened by Don Randi (father of bassist Leah Randi) in 1970. Randi formed his own group, Don Randi and Quest, as the house band. Over the years it has hosted many live recordings from jazz fusion artists. Larry Carlton recorded Last Nite there in 1986. In 2010 The Baked Potato was named the Best Jazz Club in Los Angeles by Los Angeles magazine. They have cited it as a "mainstay for session players since 1975". Nick Menza of Megadeth collapsed and died while playing here with his band Ohm on May 21, 2016.The club is mentioned in the 2016 musical film La La Land.
