Oakwood School is a K-12 co-educational independent day school located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. The school consists of two campuses: the elementary school campus in Studio City, and the secondary school campus in North Hollywood. The school was founded in 1951 by a small group of parents who were unhappy with other schools available and wanted to create a school where artistic ideals and educational goals could be met with the utmost respect and support for students.

The Hollywood Freeway chickens are a colony of feral chickens that live under the Vineland Avenue off-ramp of the Hollywood Freeway (U.S. Route 101) in Los Angeles, California. It is not definitively known how they came to be there, although news stories generally ascribe them to an overturned poultry truck.Chickens underneath the Vineland off-ramp became local celebrities upon their arrival sometime around 1970. By 1976, the flock included about 50 of the chickens, described as Rhode Island Reds. They became known as "Minnie's chickens", named after Minnie Blumfield, an elderly retiree who fed them regularly. When she became too frail to feed them, a young actress, Jodie Mann, with Actors and Others for Animals made arrangements to relocate the chickens. Nearly a hundred of the hens and roosters were relocated to a ranch in Simi Valley, California. But not every member of the flock was apprehended, and those that remained spawned a new population. Subsequent removal efforts in the following years all had a similar outcome. The first colony at the Vineland ramp has spread and there is now a second colony at the Burbank ramp, two miles away.The survival of the chicken colony and their spreading to another freeway ramp has inspired a short story by Terry Pratchett, "Hollywood Chickens".

The Two Roads Theater is a 60-seat black box theatre, with an elevated stage, located in Studio City, California at 4348 Tujunga Ave in the Little Tujunga Village neighborhood. Originally built in 1986, and housed in a building constructed in 1946, the intimate theater was remodeled and refurbished in 2003 shortly after it was purchased by Rick and Shari Shaw from Edmund Gaynes, currently operator of the St Luke's Theater in New York City. The Two Roads Theater is a member of the NoHo Arts District, in North Hollywood, the Valley Theater League and the Tujunga Village Merchants’ Association. The Two Roads was named “LA's Most Charming Small Theatre” by the Studio City Sun in 2008 and is home to original stage comedies and musicals, live comedy, improv and music shows, film screenings, seminars, acting classes, workshops and the Valley Film Festival. Located within the Two Roads Theater is the Two Roads Gallery - a hybrid gallery of contemporary art. In June 2011, The Two Roads presented the world premiere of "Kowalski", a new play by Gregg Ostrin.

The Hollywood Split (officially Bruce T. Hinman Memorial Interchange) is a freeway interchange in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. The interchange is officially named in the memory of California Highway Patrol officer Bruce T. Hinman, who was killed by a drunk driver. It is the interchange of the following routes: US 101 (Ventura Freeway/Hollywood Freeway) – Ventura, Los Angeles SR 134 east (Ventura Freeway) – Pasadena SR 170 north (Hollywood Freeway) – Sacramento

St. Charles Borromeo Church is a Catholic church and elementary school located at Moorpark and Lankershim in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. It is one of the oldest parishes in the San Fernando Valley dating back to 1921. It has long been a parish with celebrity members and was the site of funerals for Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, and Robert Urich among other notables

Donte's was a jazz club and diner and cocktail bar at 4269 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, to the north of Universal Studios. One of the West Coast's best known jazz clubs in the 1970s and 1980s, it opened in 1966 and closed in 1988.

Larrabee Sound Studios is a recording studio complex in North Hollywood, California, originally established in 1969.

Walter Reed Middle School is located in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, USA. Originally called North Hollywood Junior High School, the school was later renamed in honor of U.S. Army Major Walter Reed. The school is a part of Local District North East of the Los Angeles Unified School District and feeds into North Hollywood High School. Several areas, including parts of North Hollywood, Valley Village, Studio City and Woodbridge Park, are zoned to Reed.

Universal City/Studio City station is an underground rapid transit (known locally as a subway) station on the B Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located under Lankershim Boulevard at its intersection of Campo de Cahuenga and Universal Hollywood Drive in the neighborhoods of Universal City and Studio City, after which the station is named. The station is located near the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, the Universal CityWalk entertainment complex, and the NBCUniversal studio complex. The station was built around the historic Campo de Cahuenga, an adobe ranch house on the where the Treaty of Cahuenga was signed in 1847, ending hostilities in California between Mexico and the United States.

The Campo de Cahuenga, ( (listen)) near the historic Cahuenga Pass in present-day Studio City, California, was an adobe ranch house on the Rancho Cahuenga where the Treaty of Cahuenga was signed between Lieutenant Colonel John C. Frémont and General Andrés Pico in 1847, ending hostilities in California between Mexico and the United States. The subsequent Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848, ceding California, parts of Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona (but not Texas since it had seceded from Mexico in 1836, declared itself a republic, and joined the union in 1845) to the United States, formally ended the Mexican–American War. From 1858 to 1861 the Campo de Cahuenga became a Butterfield Stage Station.

The Millennium Dance Complex is a dance studio founded in 1992 and located in the NOHO Arts District of Los Angeles until 2016, when it moved to Studio City. Dance Teacher magazine called Millennium "...one of the top schools in the country." Millennium offers daily drop-in classes in jazz dance, hip-hop, tap, and contemporary dance. Millennium is best known for its numerous dance videos with millions of views on their YouTube channel. Performers such as Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Kenny Ortega, P. Diddy, Beyoncé, Samuel, Monsta X, NCT 127 Ateez and Boy Story have taken classes or had rehearsals at the studio. In 1988, Millennium's directors, AnnMarie Hudson and Robert Baker, met in Frank Hatchett's jazz-funk class on Broadway in Manhattan, New York City. AnnMarie had sold her small New Jersey dance school and relocated to New York. Her first job was in management at the newly formed Broadway Dance Center, working for its founder, Richard Elner. Robert had moved to New York City from South Carolina to pursue a career in acting and dance. He was with the original cast of Dreamgirls on Broadway and studied screenwriting at New York University. In 1991, they moved to Los Angeles where Robert began to work in the television industry as a producer and AnnMarie started Millennium under the name Moro Landis Studios because of the historical dance building which it occupied. In 1999, after producing television movies for NBC, ABC, and securing a producing deal at Warner Brothers television, Robert joined AnnMarie in moving the dance center to its present location. Shortly after, he switched his career goal to building and expanding Millennium with AnnMarie. He remained for nearly 10 years. Millennium's faculty is composed of today’s top working choreographers including Marty Kudelka, David Moore, Matt Steffanina, Tricia Miranda, Brian Friedman, Kyle Hanagami and many more.
