Copgrove railway station served the village of Copgrove, North Yorkshire, England from 1875 to 1964 on the Pilmoor, Boroughbridge and Knaresborough Railway.

Copgrove is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England, five miles (8 km) south-west of Boroughbridge and the A1(M) motorway. The village is close to Rober Beck, which has been influenced by glaciers and overflowing channels. Copgrove was described in 1870–72 as: Pop., 68. Houses, 14. The property is all in one estate. Copgrove Hall is the seat of T. Duncombe, Esq., and contains some good portraits. The parish is made up of 1,000 acres (400 ha) of land. The surface is hilly with a single stream running through it, a tributary of the Ure, which separates Copgrove from the parish of Burton-Leonard.

The origin of the place-name is from Old Norse and probably means "farmstead or village of the man from the Faroe Islands", and appears as Feresbi in the Domesday Book of 1086.The village has a public house called The General Tarleton which was named after Banastre Tarleton, a British general who fought on the loyalist side during the American War of Independence.

Roecliffe is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated near the A1 road motorway which connects London with Edinburgh and is 1 mile west of Boroughbridge. It is on the banks of the River Ure and the village centres on the village green which doubles up as the school playing field. The village has a pub, The Crown Inn, which offers 5 star accommodation with a 16th-century theme. The village itself is surrounded by scenic views with St Mary's Church, Roecliffe as its main attraction in the heart of the village. The church is believed to be the only church in the country with an entirely vaulted roof. Close to Roecliffe are the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which are known for spectacular scenery and a range of wildlife habitats. Also close by is the village Skelton-on-Ure.

The first part of the toponym originates from Old English eorcnan, meaning probably "precious, noble, true", and cognate to the name Archibald.

Westwick is a civil parish in Harrogate district in North Yorkshire, England. It lies 3 miles (5 km) west of Boroughbridge, on the south bank of the River Ure. It is a small parish of only 422 acres (171 ha), and consists of a few scattered houses. In 2012 the population of the parish was estimated at 10. As the population was less than 100 at the 2011 Census details are included by ONS in the civil parish of Skelton-on-Ure. Westwick was historically a township in the ancient parish of Ripon in the West Riding of Yorkshire. It became a separate civil parish in 1866. Westwick Lock, one of two locks on the navigable section of the River Ure, is in the parish.

Bishop Monkton Ings is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, or SSSI, situated east of Bishop Monkton village in North Yorkshire, England. It consists mostly of marshy, calcareous grassland, with some broadleaved woodland, and some fen alongside the two watercourses which run through the site. This varied wetland forms a habitat for a variety of plants, including the semi-parasitic marsh lousewort (Pedicularis palustris).

Hay-a-Park Gravel Pit is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, or SSSI, adjacent to the east side of the town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. Having been a disused and flooded quarry since the 1970s, it now consists of the large Hay-a-Park Lake and three smaller ponds, besides associated reedbeds, scrub, woodland and grassland. It was designated as a SSSI in 1995 because it supports a number of wintering birds, including a large flock of goosander. This site is "one of the most northerly inland breeding populations of reed warbler in Britain." Hay-a-Park was once part of a royal park, an early landowner being Edward II.

Scriven is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England, close to the town of Knaresborough. From 1947 to 1998 Scriven was part of the Claro Registration District, until this was abolished. It is situated north-west of the A6055 road from Bond End and situated north-east of the B6165 Ripley Road. Scriven-with-Tentergate was a parish however in modern days it is now known as Scriven due to a boundary change. The name Scriven originally meant "Hollow-place" with pits and could have referred to the quarrying that occurred nearby. Tentergate however contains the derivative "gate", which is the Scandinavian translation for street, and was the place where cloth was stretched for drying.
