Copgrove railway station served the village of Copgrove, North Yorkshire, England from 1875 to 1964 on the Pilmoor, Boroughbridge and Knaresborough Railway.

Hay-a-Park Gravel Pit is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, or SSSI, adjacent to the east side of the town of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. Having been a disused and flooded quarry since the 1970s, it now consists of the large Hay-a-Park Lake and three smaller ponds, besides associated reedbeds, scrub, woodland and grassland. It was designated as a SSSI in 1995 because it supports a number of wintering birds, including a large flock of goosander. This site is "one of the most northerly inland breeding populations of reed warbler in Britain." Hay-a-Park was once part of a royal park, an early landowner being Edward II.

Arkendale is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is 6 miles (10 km) north-east of Harrogate town, and a had a population of 278 according to the 2001 census, increasing to 394 at the 2011 census. It consists of a Pub, a Village Hall, a Church and is close to Staveley village. The first part of the toponym originates from Old English eorcnan, meaning probably "precious, noble, true", and cognate to the name Archibald.

Staveley is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Knaresborough and near the A1(M) motorway. In the 2001 census, the village had a population of 444, which had risen to 450 by the time of the 2011 census. In 2015, North Yorkshire County Council estimated the population to have dropped to 440.

Scriven is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England, close to the town of Knaresborough. From 1947 to 1998 Scriven was part of the Claro Registration District, until this was abolished. It is situated north-west of the A6055 road from Bond End and situated north-east of the B6165 Ripley Road. Scriven-with-Tentergate was a parish however in modern days it is now known as Scriven due to a boundary change. The name Scriven originally meant "Hollow-place" with pits and could have referred to the quarrying that occurred nearby. Tentergate however contains the derivative "gate", which is the Scandinavian translation for street, and was the place where cloth was stretched for drying.

The early 13th century St Robert's Cave and Chapel of the Holy Cross also known with variants such as St Robert's Chapel and Chapel of the Holy Rood are located on Abbey Road beside the River Nidd in its gorge at Knaresborough. The cave is a rare example of a medieval hermitage, cut out of the magnesian limestone river gorge with a domestic area externally and the chapel of the Holy Cross which originally housed the saint's grave.The trustees of the site are the monks of Ampleforth Abbey and in 1989 the Harrogate Museums Service carried out excavations after clearing the site.

Copgrove is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England, five miles (8 km) south-west of Boroughbridge and the A1(M) motorway. The village is close to Rober Beck, which has been influenced by glaciers and overflowing channels. Copgrove was described in 1870–72 as: Pop., 68. Houses, 14. The property is all in one estate. Copgrove Hall is the seat of T. Duncombe, Esq., and contains some good portraits. The parish is made up of 1,000 acres (400 ha) of land. The surface is hilly with a single stream running through it, a tributary of the Ure, which separates Copgrove from the parish of Burton-Leonard.

Goldsborough Hall is a Jacobean stately home located in the village of Goldsborough, North Yorkshire, England. It is a member of the Historic Houses Association. The house itself is a Grade II* listed building. The Hall was built for Sir Richard Hutton (1560–1639) after he acquired the Goldsborough Estate in 1598, and in the 20th century it was home to Princess Mary, Countess of Harewood as her first family home. The original building still stands and is occupied as a private family home. The Hall and gardens are open throughout the year to visitors wishing to explore the grounds, take afternoon tea, experience AA 3 rosettes fine dining or stay the night, as well as exclusive hire for weddings and functions.

Goldsborough is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated near the River Nidd and one mile (1.6 km) east of Knaresborough. Goldsborough is recognised by the well-known stately home Goldsborough Hall and its other features including: Goldsborough Primary School, the Bay Horse Inn and the Goldsborough Cricket Grounds. The village was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974.
