Hackney University Technical College was a university technical college (UTC) that opened in September 2012 in the Shoreditch area of the London Borough of Hackney in Greater London, England. The University of East London and Hackney College were the lead academic sponsors of the UTC, and BT Group and Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust were the lead business sponsors. The college closed in August 2015.

The Hackney Community College's Basketball Academy is a basketball programme located in the London Borough of Hackney in the United Kingdom. It was originally designed to engage young people vulnerable to exclusion from education to gain qualifications through engagement with a sport in which they demonstrated talent and potential.

The Hackney SPACe Sports Centre ("Sport and Performing Arts Centre") is a leisure centre in Hoxton in London Borough of Hackney, England. It is part of Hackney Community College and was opened in February 2001 following grants from Sport England with the intention that it would become the venue for Centres of Excellence in basketball, netball and cricket. The centre's main hall (dedicated to Malcolm Williams, whose work and vision were instrumental in getting SPACe built) can accommodate a range of indoor sports, and was the home venue in 2006/07 for the professional basketball team London United, who moved there from Brunel University in 2006. SPACe is also home to Hackney Community College Basketball Academy and Cricket Academy programmes. It is also home to many basketball teams that play in the London Metropolitan Basketball League (LMBL), the largest regional basketball league in the UK. SPACe has a gym and weights facility housing Olympic free weights and CV equipment as well as three dance studios. One of these has been named after Margaret Shepherd, who taught performing arts at the nearby Hoxton Hall. The main hall has tiered seating for around 600 people. SPACe is managed by Lee Perkins who was instrumental in the sporting development of the centre.

Hoxton Hall is a performance arts theatre and community centre in the Hoxton area of Shoreditch, at 130 Hoxton Street, in the London Borough of Hackney. A grade II* listed building, the theatre was first built as a Music hall in 1863, as MacDonald's Music hall. It is an unrestored example of the saloon-style. In the theatre, an iron-railed, two tier galleried auditorium rises on three sides, supported on cast iron columns, above a small, high, multi-tiered stage. It survives, largely in its original form, as for many years it was used as a Quaker meeting house. The music hall lost its performance licence in 1871, due to complaints by the police; it was sold, and the new owners applied for a licence in 1876, but were again rejected. William Isaac Palmer (1824–1893) purchased it on behalf of the Blue Ribbon Gospel Temperance Mission in 1879. Palmer was an heir to the Huntley and Palmer biscuit family and spent much of his fortune on charity. On Palmer's death, the hall passed to the Bedford Institute, a Quaker organisation dedicated to running adult schools and alleviating the results of poverty. Today, the hall is used as a community centre and performance space.

20 Projects, formerly 20 Hoxton Square Projects, was an east London art gallery run by Alex Dellal. Launched in 2007, 20 Projects was a collaborative project space, operating as a platform for emerging contemporary artists, whilst also acting as a creative hub for collaborative and independent projects. The physical location at 20 Hoxton Square is in the former hall of the Catholic Church of St Monica. The building was designed by the London architectural firm DOSarchitects

Fairchild House is a 1950 apartment block on the Pitfield Estate in Hoxton, London. It is a six-storey building of council housing. The Twentieth Century Society notes "the lavish treatment of its Northern elevation".

Hoxton Square is a public garden square in the Hoxton area of Shoreditch in the London Borough of Hackney. Laid out in 1683, it is thought to be one of the oldest in London. Since the 1990s it has been at the heart of the Hoxton national (digital and design) arts and media hub, as well as hosting entertainment, with globally eclectic musicians, actors and dancers. Most of the square's buildings, quite tall for the Victorian age, diverge in use, with many floors converted to bars, restaurants and offices and at least one live music club of note. One of the square's 18th-century residents, Rev. John Newton, composed the popular hymn "Amazing Grace".

Shoreditch was a railway station on the North London Railway (NLR) in Shoreditch, London, that was in use from 1865 to 1940. It was situated on a viaduct between Haggerston and Broad Street stations. It should not be confused with Shoreditch Underground station (1869–2006) on the London Underground, situated about half a mile further south. It was also not the first main line railway station to possess the Shoreditch name; Bishopsgate (1840–1875) was originally given that name.
