East Ridge High School (Florida)

The Clermont Woman's Club is a historic woman's club in Clermont, Florida, United States. It was organized in 1921.The club is housed in an 1880s former one-room schoolhouse located at 655 Broome Street. On January 7, 1993, the building was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Clermont chain of lakes is a chain of lakes centered on Clermont, Florida. The chain is orientated from southeast to northwest and fed primarily by streams and groundwater flow. They make up the middle part of the Palatlakaha River watershed which forms the headwaters of the Ocklawaha River. The lakes are notable for their red to tea-colored water from tannic acid.

The Miniature White House is a detailed miniature replica of the White House created by miniaturists John and Jan Zweifel. It is kept at the Zweifels' Presidents Hall of Fame in Clermont, Florida, though portions of it are often displayed elsewhere, including at presidential libraries. Its construction began in 1962. Built to a 1-inch-to-1-foot scale, it replicates in painstaking detail almost all the rooms in the White House, including the East Wing, West Wing, and the Oval Office.It has been displayed in every U.S. state. In the 1970s and early 1980s, it was displayed in several foreign countries. In the Netherlands, the replica was attacked by a group of anti-American vandals, who damaged most of the model, but all was eventually repaired.In 1994, W. W. Norton & Company published The White House in Miniature by Gail Buckland, a book about the model's history and creators that features photographs of all the miniature rooms. A VHS/DVD tour of the replica has also been made.

The Florida Citrus Tower is a 226-foot-tall (69 m) structure in Clermont, Florida. Built in 1956 to allow visitors to observe the miles of surrounding orange groves, it was once among the most famous landmarks of the Orlando area.

Florida's 10th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Florida. It was reassigned in 2012, effective January 3, 2013, from the Gulf Coast to inland Central Florida. Before 2017, the district included parts of western Orange County, most of Lake County, as well as a northern section of Polk County. The current district is entirely within Orange County, and covers most of its western portion. It is situated along the Interstate 4 corridor. It includes most of the western half of Orlando. Other cities and towns wholly or partly within the district include Apopka, Belle Isle, Beulah, Eatonville, Harlem Heights, Ocoee, Oak Ridge, Orlo Vista, Winter Garden, and Windermere. In 2020, the district was expanded further north and south to include most of Orlando east of Interstate 4, the Baldwin Park area (redevelopment of the former Naval Training Center Orlando), Orlando Executive Airport, Winter Park, that portion of Maitland within Orange County, the Azaela Park, Goldenrod, Rio Pinar and Alafaya/Waterford Lakes areas, and continuing east to the University of Central Florida, Naval Support Activity Orlando, the Central Florida Research Park, and the Lake Pickett, Bithlo and Wedgefield areas. Even with this expansion, the 10th remains a minority majority district. It is currently represented by Democrat Maxwell Frost. Due to redistricting after the 2010 census, this district was re-numbered, and slightly reconfigured from the former 8th District. Prior to 2017, it was considered a swing district with a slight Republican tilt. Due to mid-decade redistricting that occurred in 2016, the district became much more compact. It is now considered solidly Democratic. The former 10th district, during 2003–2012, covered areas further west and encompassed much of Pinellas County, on the Gulf coast of central Florida.

South Lake High School, commonly referred to as South Lake, is a high school located in Groveland, Florida, United States. It is one of eight public high schools in the Lake County School District, and is the second-largest high school in the district. Located in southern Lake County, the school serves Groveland, Mascotte, and parts of Clermont and Minneola. South Lake High was founded in 1993 by consolidating Clermont High School and Groveland High School. As of 2017, enrollment consists of around 2,000 students. It has approximately 120 certified teachers and 6 administrators. Its colors are blue and silver. The athletic teams, called the Eagles, are represented by a bald eagle.

Lake Minneola High School (LMHS) is located in Minneola, Florida, United States. It is a public high school that serves grades 9–12. Established in 2011, Lake Minneola High School is one of seven high schools in Lake County, and one of the first in Central Florida to implement an iPad-based education. It was built to alleviate overflow of sister schools South Lake High School and East Ridge High School.

WWFL (1340 AM) is a radio station licensed to Clermont, Florida, United States, serving the Lake County area. The station is currently owned by Onda Mexicana Radio Group, Inc. In March 2016, the station jettisoned its locally programmed Regional Mexican format, known as Onda Mexicana, to take the La Mejor format from Mexican company MVS Radio.

Groveland is a city in Lake County, Florida, United States. The population was 18,505 at the 2020 census. It is located at the intersection of State Road 19 and State Road 33/50. Groveland is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Groveland is recognized as the first international Dark Sky Community in Florida, and in the Southeastern United States, by DarkSky International.
