The London Academy of Excellence, Stratford (LAE) is a selective free school sixth form college located in the Stratford area of the London Borough of Newham, England. It has approximately 480 pupils and 32 teachers.

School 21 is a mixed-gender all-through school and sixth form with free school status in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham, England. Stratford bus station is a bus station and taxi rank in Stratford in London, England. The station is owned and maintained by Transport for London. An entrance to Stratford station is located adjacent to the bus station, while Westfield Stratford City and Stratford City bus station are located across the link bridge on the other side of the railway. Designed in-house by London Transport architect Soji Abass, the bus station opened on 16 November 1994, and comprises five bus stands. It replaced an older bus station on the site, which was situated on the ground floor of a multi-storey car park prior to demolition. As of 2011, over 20 million passengers use the bus station every year.London Buses routes 25, 69, 86, 104, 158, 238, 241, 257, 262, 276, 308, 425, 473, D8 and night routes N8, N25 and N86 serve the station.

It is situated opposite the busy Stratford Regional station and this contributes to the high footfall through the centre, currently at around 26 million visitors every year, as many people use it as a cut-through between the stations and Stratford Broadway. The centre currently has 62 retail units, internally and externally, plus, off the East Mall is the Market Village, which contains many small independent traders, and in the West Mall is a market that trades Monday to Saturday.

Stratford Market was a wholesale fruit and vegetable market, located in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham. Opened in 1879 by the Great Eastern Railway as a competitor to Spitalfields Market in the City of London, the market closed in 1991 and consolidated at the New Spitalfields Market in Leyton. The site is now home to Stratford Market Depot.

Stratford Market Depot is a London Underground depot located in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham, between Stratford and West Ham stations on the Jubilee line. Constructed in the mid 1990s as part of the Jubilee Line Extension, the site is the main depot for stabling and maintaining the line's 1996 Stock trains, although some trains are stabled at Neasden Depot.

The Carpenters Estate is located in Stratford, Newham, East London, close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The estate is formed of low rise social housing and three tower blocks. The estate has been continually earmarked for demolition and redevelopment.

Stratford Langthorne Abbey, or the Abbey of St Mary's, Stratford Langthorne was a Cistercian monastery founded in 1135 at Stratford Langthorne — then Essex but now Stratford in the London Borough of Newham. The Abbey, also known as West Ham Abbey as it lay in that parish, was one of the largest Cistercian abbeys in England, possessing 1,500 acres (6.07 km2) of local land, controlling over 20 manors throughout Essex. The Abbey was self-sufficient for its needs and wealthy besides; some of this wealth came from the ecclesiastic mills grinding wheat for local bakers to supply bread to the City of London. This later led to competition with the Guild of Bakers, who sought powers to levy a toll on loaves entering the City at Whitechapel.

The King Edward VII is a Grade II listed public house at 47 Broadway, Stratford, London.It was built in the early 18th century. It is opposite St John's Church and has original pedimented doors and early 19th-century bay windows. It was originally called "The King of Prussia", either in honour of Frederick the Great or else after King Frederick William IV, who visited the area in 1842 to meet Elizabeth Fry, the prison reformer. However, the name was changed at the start of World War I in 1914 for patriotic reasons.
