Alcântara-Mar railway station

The Alcântara Maritime Terminal (Portuguese: Gare Marítima de Alcântara), located in Alcântara in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, is a former ocean liner terminal building near the mouth of the Tagus River. Together with the Rocha Conde de Óbidos Maritime Terminal, about 800 metres (870 yd) to the east, it was designed by architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro and built in the 1940s as part of the modernization of the ports serving Lisbon. Both terminals feature large murals by Almada Negreiros. No longer used for passengers, the Alcântara terminal now contains an interpretation centre that describes the history of the terminals and the development of the murals by Negreiros.

The Museum of the Orient (Portuguese: Museu do Oriente) in Lisbon, Portugal is a museum of Asian art. The museum opened in May, 2008, and is located in a refurbished industrial building on the Alcântara waterfront. The collection includes Indonesian textiles and shadowplays, Japanese screens, antique snuff bottles, crucifixes made in Asia for Western export, and the Kwok On Collection of masks, costumes, and accessories.

The Berardo - Art Deco Museum (B-MAD) is an Art Deco museum in Lisbon, capital of Portugal, that also displays Art Nouveau pieces that contribute to the understanding of Art Deco. It is an initiative of the Associação de Colecções (Association of Collections), established by the Portuguese businessman, Joe Berardo. The museum opened to the public on 24 April 2021.

The Port of Lisbon (Portuguese: Porto de Lisboa) is the third-largest port in Portugal, mainly on the north sides of the Tagus's large natural harbour that opens west, through a short strait, onto the Atlantic Ocean. These are a bank-side cruise ship terminal next to the old Alfama district, followed by multi-use harbour-side terminals at Xabregas, Grilo, Beato ([ˈbjatu])) and Braço do Prata, Marvila (Lisbon). Denser military docks are beyond a headland to the south-east – Lisbon Naval Base, long colloquially synonymous with Alfeite, a slightly wider, once royally-owned, district.

The Necessidades Palace (Portuguese: Palácio das Necessidades) is a historic building in the Largo do Rilvas, a public square in Lisbon, Portugal. It serves as headquarters of the Portuguese Foreign Ministry. The Palace has been classified as a Property of Public Interest since 1983.

The Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre Museum (The Macau Museum) in Lisbon is Portugal's main museum of Chinese artefacts and artworks. Made to document Sino-Portuguese relations, the museum contains over 3,500 works of art including decorative artwork, costumes, a collection of opium-smoking paraphernalia and an important extensive collection of Chinese ceramics.The museum comprises two distinct and complementary sections, a section on the Historical and Cultural Condition of Macau in the 16th and 17th Centuries on the ground floor and a section in its Chinese Art Collection on the first floor.

Grande Lisboa (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈɡɾɐ̃d(ɨ) liʒˈβo.ɐ]) or Greater Lisbon is a former Portuguese NUTS III subregion integrated in the Lisboa Region. It was abolished at the January 2015 NUTS 3 revision. It is part of the historical Estremadura Province. It includes the capital and prime city of Portugal, Lisbon (Lisboa in Portuguese). It is the main economical subregion of the country. It covers 1,376 km2 and it is the most populous and most densely populated Portuguese subregion (2,042,477 inhabitants and 1,483.6 inhabitants/km2).
