The Church of the Ascension, West Ham, or Church of the Ascension, Victoria Docks, is a Church of England church on Baxter Road in West Ham, east London. It was first built in 1887 as a mission hall for St Luke's Church, later put under the charge of the Felsted School Mission, which prior to that had been working in Bromley. Between 1903 and 1907 a new church was built, with a separate parish split from St Luke's in 1905. The new parish opened a mission house for women workers in 1909.From about 1924 writer Mabel Knowles led the St Luke's Mission Church in London's Victoria Docks. Knowles wrote more than 300 books during her life. She continued for leading the mission for 25 years, dying while preparing a mission service for women on 29 November 1949.During the Second World War clergy from the Church of the Ascension also served Sandon parish near Chelmsford, since its rector Eric Leicester Andrews had been captured by the Japanese during the fall of Singapore in 1942. In 1961 the Church of the Ascension took on the area covered by the parish of St Matthew's Church, Custom House, which had been closed and deconsecrated the previous year.

The Albert Dock Seamen's Hospital was a hospital provided by the Seamen's Hospital Society for the care of ex-members of the Merchant navy, the fishing fleets and their dependents. It was opened in 1890 as a branch of the Dreadnought Seamen's Hospital, Greenwich. The London School of Tropical Medicine was established here in October 1899, by Sir Patrick Manson with assistance from the British Secretary of State for the Colonies (Joseph Chamberlain). Together with the Hospital for Tropical Diseases they moved to Euston in February 1920.The Hospital was relocated to a new site on nearby Alnwick Road (east of Felsted Road) in 1937-1938 and became part of Newham Health District under the City and East London Area Health Authority (Teaching) in 1974 and was converted from acute to orthopaedic use. It came under the direct control of Newham Health Authority in 1981 and subsequently became a homeward bound mental handicap unit which closed in c1993. The hospital buildings were demolished in 1993 except for one range which retains its 1930s brown brick elevations and central rendered pediment, now converted to residential use.

Royal Docks Academy (formerly Royal Docks Community School) is a coeducational secondary school located in Custom House within the London Borough of Newham, England. It does not have a sixth form.

Prince Regent DLR station is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) in Canning Town in east London. The station was opened on 28 March 1994 and provides access to the eastern end of the ExCeL Exhibition Centre and ICC London. The station signage is subtitled 'for ExCeL East'. The station is named after Prince Regent Lane, which runs north from the station towards the A13 road. There is a small bus station adjoining the station with buses to Plaistow and London City Airport. The station is located on the DLR's Beckton branch, between Custom House and Royal Albert stations. It is in Travelcard Zone 3. During major exhibitions at the adjacent Excel Centre an additional DLR shuttle service operates between Canning Town and Prince Regent stations, to supplement the normal Tower Gateway to Beckton service. The trains shuttle reverse on a crossover well to the east of the station, within sight of the next station at Royal Albert.

The London Regatta Centre (now formally known as Royal Docks Watersports Centre) is a rowing and dragon boat racing centre located in the Docklands area in the East End of London. It is built at the west end on the northern quayside of the historic Royal Albert Dock directly opposite London City Airport. The site is owned by the Royal Albert Dock Trust, and is home to the Queen Mary, University of London Boat Club, London Youth Rowing, Curlew Rowing Club, London Otters Rowing Club, University of East London Boat Club, Raging Dragons Dragon Boat Club, Thames Dragons, Wave Walkers, Windy Pandas DBC and Typhoon DBC amongst others.The Regatta Centre was opened formally in March 2000 by the Princess Royal. The building was designed by Ian Ritchie Architects. The 200-year lease on the land for the centre was to the Royal Albert Dock Trust, by the London Docklands Development Corporation.The centre has a 2,000 metre course, with seven lanes plus a return lane. The existing 1,750-metre length of the dock was extended to 2,000 by the removal and replacement of the Woolwich Manor Way Bridge at the east of the dock. The new bridge was built further east and is now officially known as the Sir Steve Redgrave Bridge. London Otters Rowing Club is an LGBT-friendly rowing club based at the London Regatta Centre in the Docklands area of London, U.K. on the River Thames.

Royal Docks is an area and a ward in the London Borough of Newham in the London Docklands in East London, England. The area is named after three docks – the Royal Albert Dock, the Royal Victoria Dock and the King George V Dock. They are more correctly called the Royal Group of Docks to distinguish them from the Royal Dockyards, Royal being due to their naming after members of the royal family rather than Crown ownership. The three docks collectively formed the largest enclosed docks in the world, with a water area of nearly 250 acres (1.0 km2) and an overall estate of 1,100 acres (4.5 km2). The area was designated a special enterprise zone in 2012. North Woolwich is part of Royal Docks ward. Royal Docks is also a ward of the London Borough of Newham. At the 2011 Census it had a population of 10,679.

The London Triathlon (currently known as the "AJ Bell London Triathlon", and previously the Virgin Active London Triathlon, Mazda London Triathlon and the Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon, for sponsorship reasons) is an annual triathlon event in London, England. Until 2015 it was the largest triathlon in the world. It is the only triathlon to take place in central London following the relocation of the International Triathlon Union London event to Leeds.Participants can choose between four individual distances or two team relay distances: Super Sprint: 400m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run Sprint: 750m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run Olympic: 1500m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run Olympic Plus: 1500m swim, 80 km bike, 10 km runThe course passes some of the city's landmarks such as the London Eye, Westminster, London Bridge and the O2. Participants can fundraise for one of the events official charity partners, with Bloodwise and Macmillan being the two gold charities for 2016. Held annually in London, England, the race attracts a field of elite athletes and in excess of 13,000 competitors and 30,000 spectators to the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, in the London Docklands. Previous winners include Tim Don, Stuart Hayes, Vicky Holland, Helen Jenkins, Jodie Swallow and Emma Snowsill. The 2015 elite male and female races were won by Peter Kerr and Helen Jenkins, respectively. The event is owned by IMG.Thousands of pounds is raised every year and the 2015 Gold Charity was Macmillan Cancer Support. A large number of companies taking part in the corporate waves. An hour highlights show of the event is broadcast on Channel 4, Sky Sports and British Eurosport in the weeks following the event.

West Ham Stadium existed between 1928 and 1972 in Custom House, east London, England, on Prince Regent Lane, near the present-day Prince Regent DLR station. The venue was used for greyhound racing and speedway on weekdays and had no connection with West Ham United football club, who played at the nearby Boleyn Ground, Upton Park from 1904 until 2016.

The NHS Nightingale Hospital London was the first of the NHS Nightingale Hospitals, temporary hospitals set up by NHS England for the COVID-19 pandemic. It was housed in the ExCeL London convention centre in East London. The hospital was rapidly planned and constructed, being formally opened on 3 April and receiving its first patients on 7 April 2020. It served 54 patients during the first wave of the pandemic, and was used to serve non-COVID patients and provide vaccinations during the second wave. It was closed in April 2021.

Biota! was a proposed aquarium in the Silvertown Quays redevelopment, on the site of Millennium Mills adjacent to the Royal Victoria Dock, part of the wider Thames Gateway regeneration project for East London. The £80 million building by Terry Farrell & Partners architects was given outline planning permission in March 2005 and was initially expected to be completed in 2008, but the project was cancelled in 2009.

St Mark's Church, Silvertown or St Mark's Church, Victoria Docks is a former church building in Silvertown in east London, located on North Woolwich Road. It takes one of its names from the nearby Royal Docks. It was listed as Grade II* in 1971 and now houses the Brick Lane Music Hall.
