Box railway station served the town of Box in Wiltshire, England. The station was on the main Great Western Railway line from London to Bristol and was opened when the Chippenham to Bath section opened in June 1841. The Rev. W. Awdry, author of The Railway Series books lived next to the railway station and would spend many hours with his father watching the passing steam locomotives. The name board of the former signal box with the name "Box Signal Box" is preserved in the National Railway Museum at York.

The village is on the A4 which links Bath with Corsham and Chippenham. Ashley Manor is from the 17th century. Box railway station was close to Ashley, where the A4 crosses the Great Western line. There is a pub, the Northey Arms. It should not be confused with Ashley, Gloucestershire near Tetbury, which was transferred from Wiltshire to Gloucestershire in 1930.

Ditteridge is a village in the civil parish of Box, Wiltshire, England. It is about 0.8 miles (1.3 km) northwest of Box village and 3.5 miles (6 km) west of the town of Corsham. Formerly a larger settlement, it has an early Norman church and had its own civil parish for a time in the 19th century.

The Church of St. Thomas à Becket is the Church of England parish church of Box, Wiltshire, in south-west England. It is one of a number of churches named after Thomas Becket following his martyrdom. The church has 12th-century origins and was substantially remodelled in the 14th, 15th, 18th and 19th centuries. It is a Grade I listed building.

Kingsdown is a hamlet in the civil parish of Box, Wiltshire, England. It is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south-west of Box village and 1.2 miles (1.9 km) east of Bathford, across the county border in Somerset. At the top of Doctor's Hill, Kingsdown House is a three-storey ashlar house from the early 18th century; its formal front with parapet and corner urns was embellished in the 19th century with a Corinthian porch and a roof-height clock. There was a private asylum here from the 17th century to the mid-20th, latterly called Kingsdown Nursing Home. The house and its adjacent 19th-century buildings are now in residential use.A Methodist chapel was built in 1869 and rebuilt in 1926. By 2003 it was a private house.There is a pub, the Swan Inn. Kingsdown Golf Course is on higher ground to the east of the hamlet.

Real World Records is a British record label specializing in world music. It was founded in 1989 by English musician Peter Gabriel and original members of WOMAD. A majority of the works released on Real World Records feature music recorded at Real World Studios, in Box, Wiltshire, England.

Real World Studios is a residential recording studio complex founded by Peter Gabriel and situated in the village of Box, Wiltshire, England, near to the city of Bath. It is closely associated with the Real World Records record label, Real World Publishing, and the WOMAD Festival, whose offices are also based at the complex.

Colerne is a village and civil parish in north Wiltshire, England. The village is about 3.5 miles (6 km) west of the town of Corsham and 7 miles (11 km) northeast of the city of Bath. It has an elevated and exposed position, 545 feet (166 m) above sea level, and overlooks the Box valley to the south (where Brunel's Box Tunnel is). The parish includes the hamlets of Eastrip and Thickwood. It is bounded to the west by a stretch of the Fosse Way Roman road, which forms the county boundary with Gloucestershire, and to the east by the Bybrook River. Part of the northern boundary is the Doncombe Brook, a tributary of the Bybrook, and part of the southern boundary is the Lid Brook, another tributary.

Royal Air Force Colerne or more simply RAF Colerne is a former Royal Air Force station which was on the outskirts of the village of Colerne in Wiltshire, England, and was in use from 1939 to 1976. The site is now known as Azimghur Barracks and is home to 21 Signal Regiment, Royal Signals and 93 (City of Bath) Air Training Corps detached flight.

Box is a large village and civil parish within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wiltshire, England, about 3 miles (5 km) west of Corsham and 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Bath. Box also falls in the easternmost part of the Avon Green Belt. Besides the village of Box, the parish includes the villages of Ashley and Box Hill; Hazelbury manor; and the hamlets of Alcombe, Blue Vein, Chapel Plaister, Ditteridge, Henley, Kingsdown, Middlehill, and Wadswick. To the east the parish includes much of Rudloe, formerly a hamlet but now a housing estate, and the defence establishments and related businesses on the site of RAF Rudloe Manor. Occupation here dates back at least to Roman times. The area is known for its fine stone and for centuries Box quarries were famous for their product. Today Box is perhaps better known for its Brunel-designed Box railway tunnel. Box has been twinned with Sorigny, a commune in central France, since 2016.
