Great Kingshill is a small village in the parish of Hughenden in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Chiltern Hills, about five miles west of Amersham and two and a half miles south of Great Missenden.

Cryers Hill is a hamlet in the parish of Hughenden and in Buckinghamshire, England. It was formerly known as Ravensmere (sometimes 'Ravening'). The hamlet is sandwiched between Great Kingshill, Hughenden Valley and Widmer End. Its primary school is called Great Kingshill school and the crematorium at Cryers Hill is called Hughenden Crematorium. This is located in Four Ashes Road.The hamlet has a Post Office and Shop, Cryers Hill Post Office & Store.The only pub within Cryers Hill is The White Lion, serving traditional ales and food.The hamlet and surrounding area provided the setting for Kitty Aldridge's 2007 novel called "Cryers Hill". The book partly documents the significant expansion of housing in the area during the 1960s.In Four Ashes Road, there is a large country house with a Georgian facade called 'Uplands' which is set in 18 acres (73,000 m2) of gardens. It is now a 74-room De Vere Venues hotel and conference centre.In recent years, an apparition of the Green Man is alleged to have been sighted on at least two occasions at Cryers Hill.

Widmer End is a hamlet in the parish of Hughenden, in Buckinghamshire, England. The Village of Widmer End is situated about three miles north of High Wycombe town centre. In the last half century it has grown from a rural hamlet into a commuter suburb while still retaining much of its attractiveness. It boasts a population of about 2000, a church, a pub now closed after 150 years (Enterprise Inns the last owners), a school, some shops, and a village hall and recreation ground. The latter two are owned by the village itself and are the centre for many sports and social activities. Widmer End has expanded significantly over the years, particularly inside the "George's Hill triangle" which adjoins Hazlemere. The centre of the old village is around a road junction overlooked by the Royal Standard public house. A short distance to the south-west of Widmer End is the hamlet of Four Ashes, and Cryers Hill is to the west. Author and former local girl Kitty Aldridge captures the 1960s expansion of Widmer End in her 2007 novel Cryers Hill. The Widmer End newsletter is run by local residents to inform, entertain and promote community cohesion. Local businesses and schools are promoted and residents have the opportunity to write in, submit articles, poetry, opinion and inform other residents of local history.

Prestwood is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Chiltern Hills, about two miles west of Great Missenden and six miles north of High Wycombe.

Pipers Corner School is a private independent day school for girls in Great Kingshill, Buckinghamshire, England. There are 605 pupils aged from 4 to 18 years. The school is an Educational Charitable Trust administered by a Board of Governors. Its current headmistress is Helen Ness-Gifford. Spurlands End is a hamlet in the parish of Little Missenden, in Buckinghamshire, England.For most of its history, it consisted of just five neighbouring farms along Spurlands End Road - Wycombe Heath Farm, Bramble Farm, Spurlands End Farm, Nortons Farm, and Copes Farm. The hamlet used to lay in the Manor of Peterley (sometimes "Peterley Stone") which, for many years, was presided over by the Lords Dormer. A Victorian windmill was also once sited here. The hamlet is thought to derive its name from the Sperling family who lived here in the medieval period. The 'End' element is derived from its position on the edge of the old Wycombe Heath (now vanished). In modern times, Spurlands End has become closely associated with neighbouring Holmer Green. Spurlands House was used for a few years in 1940s as a school-cum-home for about a dozen children.

Prestwood Local Nature Reserve or Prestwood (Picnic Site) is a 2.1 hectares (5.2 acres) Local Nature Reserve in Prestwood in Buckinghamshire. It is in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is owned by Wycombe District Council and leased to the Chiltern Society.The site was a dump for motor vehicles until 1976, when it was acquired by Wycombe Council. The Chiltern Society took over the management in 2013. It is steeply sloping chalk grassland with a diverse range of species, including birds such bullfinches, blackcaps and garden warblers, are butterflies such as dingy, grizzled skippers and green hairstreaks.There is a car park for the site and picnic tables off Hampden Road near Perks Lane.

Four Ashes is a hamlet in the parish of Hughenden, in Buckinghamshire, England. It was the site of Rockhalls manor house - home to the medieval Wellesbourne family and later home to the Widmer family. A farm on the site still bears the Rockhalls name and parts of the old manorial moat are visible. Local legend tells of a dragon that lived at Four Ashes and whose image was painted onto the walls of the old manor house. Also, a dell known as "Hags Pit" on the edge of the hamlet is alleged to have been connected to witchcraft.

Holmer Green Football Club are an F.A. Charter Standard football club based at Holmer Green near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, England. The club is affiliated to the Berks & Bucks Football Association. They were established in 1908 and were founder members of the Chiltonian League in 1984. They are members of the Combined Counties League Division One. They are currently managed by Keith Scott.

Angling Spring Wood is in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, England with an area of 16.37 hectares (40.5 acres). It is owned by Chiltern District Council. The woodland is located close to Gipsy House, the former residence of Roald Dahl. The author regularly walked in the woods, gaining inspiration to write Danny, the Champion of the World and Fantastic Mr Fox.

Little Kingshill is a small Chilterns village in the parish of Little Missenden in Buckinghamshire, England, with the closest amenities being in its post town of Great Missenden. It is approximately five miles west of Amersham, about four and a half miles north west of High Wycombe and just under two miles south of Great Missenden, with its fast train to London Marylebone. The hamlet name 'Kingshill' means a hill in possession of the king, which local folklore suggests was King John; there is certainly evidence of King John granting the manor at Kingshill to Hugh de Gournay in 1213, although this same document states that the land was previously possessed by Geoffrey fitzPeter. The affix 'Little' was added later to differentiate between the hamlet and neighbouring village Great Kingshill, although the two are in separate parishes and, indeed, separate districts, with Little Kingshill, in effect, an extension of Great Missenden. Little Kingshill has one pub: The Full Moon in Hare Lane. The main road, Windsor Lane, is home to the playing fields, the playground, the Baptist church, which is home to a coffee shop, and the village school. This Chiltern village is surrounded by Metropolitan Green Belt countryside. Little Kingshill has its own primary school with a nursery, catering for children from 3–11 years. It is controlled by Buckinghamshire County Council.
