The Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany (in German: Bundeskriminalamt , abbreviated BKA ) is the federal investigative police agency of Germany, directly subordinated to the Federal Ministry of the Interior. It is headquartered in Wiesbaden, Hesse, and maintains major branch offices in Berlin and Meckenheim near Bonn. It has been headed by Holger Münch since December 2014. Primary jurisdiction of the agency includes coordinating cooperation between the federation and state police forces; investigating cases of international organized crime, terrorism and other cases related to national security; counterterrorism; the protection of members of the constitutional institutions, and of federal witnesses. When requested by the respective state authorities or the federal minister of the interior, it also assumes responsibility for investigations in certain large-scale cases. Furthermore, the Attorney General of Germany can direct it to investigate cases of special public interest.

Sonnenberg is a borough of Wiesbaden, the capital of the state of Hesse, Germany. Formerly an independent municipality, Sonnenberg was incorporated into Wiesbaden on 28 October 1926. The borough has approximately 8,000 residents. Sonnenberg is located in the northeast of the city. Its historic center is located in the foothills of the Taunus in the narrow valley of Rambach. Burg Sonnenberg (Sonnenberg Castle) is situated on a mountain spur above the town. While the castle is now in ruins, the castle tower and parts of the fortifications and the city walls are preserved to a large extent.

The Russian Orthodox Church of Saint Elizabeth in Wiesbaden (German: Russisch-Orthodoxe Kirche der heiligen Elisabeth in Wiesbaden; common local name Griechische Kapelle, "Greek chapel"; Russian: Русский православный храм Св. Праведной Елиcаветы в Висбадене) is the only Russian Orthodox church in Wiesbaden, Germany, and is located on Neroberg. Besides the Russian church there is a parsonage and a Russian cemetery, which is the largest in Europe (outside Russia itself). St. Elizabeth's Church and its parishioners belong to the Diocese of Germany in the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.

Herz Jesu is a Catholic church in Sonnenberg, now a suburb of Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse, Germany. The church in Gothic revival style was consecrated in 1890, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The nave and the altar area are decorated with paintings. Coloured stained-glass windows behind the altar depict scenes from the Old and New Testaments. The tabernacle and the ambo were created in 1982 by an artist from Maria Laach Abbey. A crucifix next to the altar was made in the 17th century. A chapel to the right of the main altar has an altar with a sculpture of Mary. The entrance area features an icon and a pietà. In 2006 the building was completely restored; an original main altar was removed at the time. The financing of the restoration came from donations of parish members and local businesses. Originally an independent parish, it has belonged to the parish of St. Birgid in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt from 2014.

Opelbad is a lido situated on Neroberg in Wiesbaden, Germany opened in 1934. A foundation established by the Privy Councilor Wilhelm von Opel funded the construction of this summer pool on Wiesbaden's own hill, Neroberg, in 1934. The swimming pool is designed in the Bauhaus style, with water temperatures of at least 24 degrees. The 14,500 square metre swimming pool grounds on Wiesbaden's own hill is operated by mattiaqua and offers a view above the city.

Neroberg is a hill in Wiesbaden in Hesse, Germany. It offers a panoramic view of the city and is therefore a tourist destination, reached by the historic Nerobergbahn, a funicular railway from the Nerotalanlagen.

Hessische Staatskanzlei (Hessian State Chancellery) is located in Mitte, Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany. The former Grand Hotel Rose is the seat of the government of the State of Hesse. The Acting Head of the Hessian State Chancellery has been Axel Wintermeyer since August 31, 2010.

The Kochbrunnen (in German: boil fountain) in Wiesbaden is the most famous hot spring in city. It is a sodium chloride hot spring. Its name refers to the water temperature of about 66 °C. The spring in the Kochbrunnenplatz was first mentioned in 1366 as Bryeborn (Brühborn) and 1536 as Syedenborn (Siedeborn). The productivity is about 360 litres every minute. The fountain has well water when exiting, at a temperature of 66.1 °C, smells faintly of hydrogen sulphide and has a strong salty taste. It is clear, but becomes turbid yellowish after 24 hours exposed to the air. The main flow is directed to the processing plant in the Kaiser-Friedrich-Bad. From there it passes into the extensive thermal water system of the city. It is used both for medicinal purposes (including in the hot springs in Aukammtal), as well as to heat the city hall. Kochbrunnenplatz and neighbouring Kranzplatz host some of the Wiesbaden Grand Hotels: the oldest hotel in Germany, the "Schwarze Bock" founded in 1486; the former "Palace Hotel" – it was the first ever with room phones – and the "Hotel Rose", launched in September 2004 and which now hosts the Hessische Staatskanzlei.

The Nerotalanlagen (Nero Valley Park) is a park in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany. The English landscape garden was built in the 19th century in the north of the city, below the Neroberg, along the stream valley of the Schwarzbach creek. The listed historic park features a great variety of plants and several monuments.

The Kurhaus ("cure house", German pronunciation: [ˈkuːɐ̯haʊ̯s]) is the spa house in Wiesbaden, the capital of Hesse, Germany. It serves as the city's convention centre, and the social center of the spa town. In addition to a large and a smaller hall, it houses a restaurant and the Wiesbaden Casino, or Spielbank, which is notable for allowing the "highest roulette stakes in Germany" (as of 2005), and where Fyodor Dostoyevsky was said to have received the inspiration for his novel The Gambler.

The Kurpark, German for "Spa Park", is a public park in the centre of Wiesbaden, Germany, stretching from the Wilhelmstraße to the southern borders of the district of Sonneberg and lying immediately behind the Kurhaus convention center. It was created in 1852 as an English landscape park and includes a lake where boats can be rented, and a 6 metres (20 ft) tall fountain. It has been described as the most beautiful park in Wiesbaden.

The Bowling Green is a park in the Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden. The Bowling Green is of an elongated rectangle with two pools, one of each in the middle of three shells cascading fountain stands. On the east side the park joins the Kurhausplatz in front of the Kurhaus, Wiesbaden. Close behind the Kurhaus with its famous casino, stretches the Kurpark. On the west side of Bowling Green runs the Wilhelmstrasse. Across the street lies the Kaiser-Friedrich-Platz with the statue of Emperor Frederick III. The place is flanked by the luxury Hotel Nassauer Hof. The Bowling Green is often used for open-air events for example held concerts by David Gilmour, Leonard Cohen, R.E.M., Sting, Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams, Plácido Domingo, Lionel Richie, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Herbert Grönemeyer. In addition, the Bowling Green is a place for special events. Every year in June, occur the Wilhelmstrassen festival, one of the largest street parties in Germany - and every New Year's Eve the largest party in Wiesbaden take place here.
