Matthew McNair Secondary School is a public high school in Richmond, British Columbia and is part of School District 38 Richmond. Matthew McNair is one of the semester-style schools in Richmond. Its feeder schools include Hamilton Elementary, Walter Lee Elementary, Kingswood Elementary, Thomas Kidd Elementary, Woodward Elementary, and Morris Elementary.

The Lingyen Mountain Temple (Chinese: 靈巖山寺; pinyin: líng yán shān sì) in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada is a Buddhist monastery, designed by Pacific Rim Architecture in the Chinese palatial style and completed in 1996. The temple has about 10,000 members in Greater Vancouver and several dozen resident monastics.

Fantasy Gardens, also known as Fantasy Garden World, was a former amusement park in Richmond, British Columbia that was located at the corner of Steveston Highway and No. 5 Road. The park was called Fantasy Gardens because it was surrounded by a series of stone buildings that were designed to resemble structures built during the Middle Ages. The buildings had been used as a backdrop in numerous music videos, television productions, and movies (it stood in for Halloweentown in Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge). Behind the stone buildings were the Biblical Gardens. These gardens were filled with numerous religious icons, including a hedge that had been carved into the shape of a Bible.

The International Buddhist Temple (also 觀音寺 in Chinese; Guān Yīn Sì in pinyin; Guan Yin Temple) is located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. It is a Chinese Buddhist temple run by the International Buddhist Society. While the Society officially practices Mahayana Buddhism, the temple is open to Theravada Buddhist affiliates and visitors, as well as visitors of all religious and unique cultural backgrounds.

Hugh McRoberts Secondary School, officially "École Secondaire Hugh McRoberts Secondary School", is a Canadian school in Richmond, British Columbia. Named after Hugh McRoberts, an early settler on Sea Island, this secondary school (grades 8-12 in British Columbia) is one of the two schools in Richmond that offer the French Immersion Secondary School program (the other being McMath). McRoberts is situated at Garden City Rd. and Williams Rd. and is a member of School District 38 Richmond. Hugh McRoberts Secondary School opened on November 30, 1962 and was converted into a full-fledged secondary school in the mid-1990s, with the first class of the new grade 8-12 program graduating in 1997. The high school was partially renovated in 1999. The school logo and mascot is a "Striker", which is depicted as a mounted knight carrying a lance or a claymore. The logo had previously been a shamrock. In 2006, the Fraser Institute evaluated Hugh McRoberts Secondary as the highest ranking school compared to other secondary schools in Richmond, with an average ranking of 8.3 out of 10.0 for all schools in the Greater Vancouver Regional District.

Richmond South Centre is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada that was created in the 2015 redistribution from parts of Richmond Centre, Richmond East and Richmond-Steveston. It was first contested in the 2017 election.

A. R. MacNeill Secondary School is a secondary school in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. As of January 2023, there are approximately 790 students attending the school. It is in School District 38 Richmond. The school was built at a cost of over CAD 25 million. The feeder elementary schools are Anderson, Cook, Talmey and Tomsett. The school is named after Allan Roy MacNeill. In addition to being one of the youngest schools in the district, it is also known to pilot and test any new ideas before they are applied to the rest of the schools in Richmond. Due to this specialized program, Macneill has been ranked as one of the most efficient schools in all of Greater Vancouver.

Broadmoor is a residential neighbourhood located in Richmond, British Columbia. The neighbourhood is bounded by Gilbert Road in the west, Blundell Road in the north, No. 4 Road in the east, and Steveston Highway in the south. It is the third most populous neighbourhood in Richmond after the City Centre and Steveston. The community is anchored by two primary commercial nodes: Broadmoor Shopping Centre and Richlea Square at the intersection of Williams Road and No. 3 Road, and Garden City Shopping Centre and Blundell Plaza at Blundell Road and Garden City Road along the neighbourhood's shared northern perimeter with the City Centre. The latter hosts an annual summer fair in the plaza, offering live entertainment and community programming.

Robert Cecil Palmer Secondary School, (commonly, R.C. Palmer Secondary School, RCPSS, RCP, and Palmer Secondary School) is a public, co-educational secondary school situated in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada which educates students in grades 8-12. Palmer Secondary School is one of the many schools under the Richmond School District. It is the only school in Richmond to offer the Pre-AP Incentive Program, the ACE-IT plumbing program and, previously, the Palmer Hockey Academy. The Richmond Virtual School is also hosted in the Palmer building.

Finn Slough is a tiny Fraser River fishing community located at the south end of No. 4 Road in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The community has approximately 30 residents who live in wooden houses, both floating and built on pilings, along the marshy river bank. Many of the buildings were built between the late 19th century and 1950s and many have decayed severely, while some have been carefully restored. Finn Slough was founded by Finnish settlers who came to Richmond in the 1880s. Most of these residents made a good living from fishing and became local landowners. The sleepy and decaying village of Finn Slough has been repeatedly photographed, and it appears on numerous postcards sold throughout Vancouver tourist shops.
