Arvada () is a home rule municipality on the border between Jefferson and Adams counties, Colorado, United States. The city population was 124,402 at the 2020 United States Census, with 121,510 residing in Jefferson County and 2,892 in Adams County. Arvada is the seventh most populous city in Colorado. The city is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. The Olde Town Arvada historic district is 7 miles (11 km) northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.

Ralston Valley High School (RVHS or RV) is a comprehensive, four-year public high school in Arvada, a northwest suburb of Denver, Colorado. Opened in 2000, its enrollment is around 1800 students. Ralston Valley High School is an eight-time recipient of an "Excellent" rating by the Colorado Department of Education.

Arvada West High School, nicknamed A-West, is a public secondary school in Arvada, Colorado, United States. Opened in 1963, it is one of four high schools in Arvada. It is part of the Jefferson County School District.

Wheat Ridge/Ward station (sometimes stylized as Wheat Ridge•Ward) is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) commuter rail station and terminus of the G Line. It opened on April 26, 2019, along with the rest of the G Line, after years of delays.The station is located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, United States, on the south side of West 50th Place between Ward Road and Tabor Street. It includes bus bays and a 290-stall park and ride on the north side of West 50th Place. Public art at the station includes "Anchored by Place", a steel-and-bronze sculpture by Michael Clapper.The station is the only stop within the city of Wheat Ridge, and is being prepared by the city for transit-oriented development. In 2016, voters in Wheat Ridge approved a $12 million sales tax to improve roadways and other infrastructure around the area to lure development. A 7.5-acre (3.0 ha) lot northeast of the station is slated to be developed into 230 apartments and 80 townhomes.

Fairmount is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Fairmount CDP was 9,324 at the United States Census 2010. ZIP code 80403 applies to addresses in Fairmount.

Standley Lake is a 1,200-acre (4.9 km2) reservoir located in Westminster, Colorado. While originally constructed to provide water for the agricultural irrigation of the surrounding region northwest of Denver, it now serves primarily as the municipal water supply for the cities of Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton. The lake is also used for recreation, and is the prominent feature of the surrounding 3,000-acre (12 km2) Standley Lake Regional Park. The reservoir has a maximum capacity of approximately 42,000 acre-feet (52,000,000 m3) and maximum depth of 96 feet (29 m). Most of the reservoir's water is transported over 16 miles (26 km) from Clear Creek to the south by way of the Church Ditch, Farmer's Highline Canal and Croke Canal. It also receives water from Coal Creek by way of the Kinnear Ditch and from Woman Creek.The lake is owned by the Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Company (FRICO) while the surrounding park and the recreational use of the lake are managed by the City of Westminster.

Leyden, Colorado, elevation 5,656 feet (1,724 m) is a small unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Colorado west of Arvada at the junction of West 82nd Avenue and Quaker Street. It is a historic company town established by the Leyden Coal Company in 1902 to house the miners of the Leyden Coal Mine nearby to the west.

Mount Olivet Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery operated by the Archdiocese of Denver. The cemetery is located at 12801 W. 44th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the first cemetery owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Denver, the second being Saint Simeon Catholic Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado.

Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge is the smallest urban unit of the National Wildlife Refuge System. The refuge is located in the City of Arvada, Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The refuge consists of 72.2 acres (29.2 ha) of land, including 63.2 acres (25.6 ha) of uplands, 9.0 acres (3.6 ha) of wetlands, and three small ponds. The site sits in the midst of a region of suburban expansion of the Denver Metropolitan Area, and was saved from development in 1990 by a group of concerned people, now a Friend's group entitled the Two Ponds Preservation Foundation. The refuge was established in 1992 and continues to protect various animals as well as unique high prairie plants, and offers visitors many activities, including hiking, guided tours, and group educational opportunities.

Arvada Ridge station is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) commuter rail station on the G Line between Denver Union Station and Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The station is located in western Arvada, Colorado, on the west side of Kipling Parkway and near Red Rocks Community College's Arvada campus. It includes bus bays, a 200-stall park and ride, and a pedestrian underpass connecting the platform to Ridge Road and the park and ride. Public art at the station includes "Chromatic Harvest", a kaleidoscopic mural wall with geometric imagery of agriculture. The station opened on April 26, 2019.The Arvada Ridge area has been the site of the city's "education-focused" transit-oriented development, which has included new apartment buildings and retailers to the south of the park and ride. RTD plans to begin new bus service between the Arvada Ridge and Olde Town Arvada stations when the G Line opens on April 26, 2019.

The Pioneer Sod House in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is a sod house built in 1886 or perhaps well before. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.Sod houses were rare in the Denver area, as lumber was available, and this is likely the only one surviving. It was more or less continuously occupied as a residence from 1886 to the summer of 1972.While the 1973 National Register nomination asserted it was built in 1886, the house is believed by the Wheat Ridge Historical Society to have been built in 1864 or before 1859.

Foothills Academy has been out of business for several yearsFoothill Academy is a private school in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It offers pre-kindergarten through Grade 12. The school was founded in 1984.
