Wolf's Lair is an estate located at 2869 N. Durand Drive in the Hollywoodland neighborhood of Beachwood Canyon in Hollywood, California, United States. Designed in the Châteauesque style by John DeLario for Leslie Milton Wolf, the estate was completed in 1928 and was Wolf's residence until his death in 1972. In subsequent years, the estate saw numerous owners and renters, with notable occupants including Marlon Brando, Debbie Reynolds, and members of The Beatles. The property covers 3.3 acres (13,000 m2) and includes the main house, pool house, gate house, and a guest house designed by John Lautner.

Beachwood Canyon is a community in the Hollywood Hills, in the northern portion of Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. The upper portion of the canyon is the Hollywoodland community that was advertised in the 1920s by the original of what is now known as the Hollywood Sign. The neighborhood features its own market, cafe, florist and stables.

The Hollywood Sculpture Garden is an outdoor garden in Los Angeles dedicated to the display of sculptures by various artists, including local, national, and international artists.It was founded in May 2012, by Dr. Robby Gordon, and is located at 2430 Vasanta Way, Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills (below the Hollywood sign). It currently hosts over 100 different sculptures, which can be viewed from street-level, as well as during private events and pre-arranged appointments. There are two viewing balconies overlooking the garden, as well as pathways and stairs that were added later on (2018 - 2020). The Hollywood Sculpture Garden is open to the public (viewings by appointment only), and also holds regular art receptions and fundraisers. It was featured in Los Angeles Magazine on the "Best of LA" list (issue 08/17), as well as other publications and websites. Atlas Obscura touted it as a, "A Dazzling Hodgepodge in the Hills," in its article, An Explorer's Guide To Hidden Hollywood.The Hollywood Sculpture Garden is also occasionally used as a backdrop for film productions and photoshoots. It may be rented as a venue for a range of events, including fashion shows, weddings, private parties, and pop-up art shows.

Sidney Woodruff Residence, also known as S. H. Woodruff Residence, is a historic house located at 3185 North Durand Drive in Hollywood, California. It was declared Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 681 in 2000.

Moorcrest is a house in Beachwood Canyon, Los Angeles, California, United States. It was built in 1921 for the utopian Krotona Colony in Beachwood Canyon and was designed by Marie Russak Hotchener, an architect who designed several buildings for the Theosophist community; Moorcrest is thought of as one of her most famous pieces.In the heart of the Hollywood Hills, Moorcrest was once the home of actor Charlie Chaplin, the first international star of the modern era. Later, Mary Astor, the star of The Maltese Falcon among many other films, sometimes lived at Moorcrest. Her parents, Otto and Helen Langhanke, owned the home for a time.As of 2014, the house is owned by musician Joanna Newsom and actor Andy Samberg.

The Garber House in Los Angeles, California, is an English Tudor Revival building by architect Herbert A. Linthwaite, AlA that was built in 1922 and listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2007. The Cultural Heritage Commission found the building "embodies the distinguishing characteristics of an architectural type specimen, inherently valuable for a study of a period style or method of construction" as an example of Tudor Revival residential architecture in the Hollywood area.Linthwaite is noted for inventing a type of construction method for concrete buildings in the 1920s: the "hollow concrete wall." Possessing exclusive rights to build with this system, Linthwaite used this method in several buildings in Los Angeles during this time period.

The Mulholland Dam is a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power dam located in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California, east of the Hollywood Freeway. Designed with a storage capacity of 7,900 acre⋅ft (9,700,000 m3) of water at a maximum depth of 183 feet (56 m), the dam forms the Hollywood Reservoir, which collects water from various aqueducts and impounds the creek of Weid Canyon.

Hollywood Reservoir, also known as Lake Hollywood, is a reservoir located in the Hollywood Hills, situated in the Santa Monica Mountains north of the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It is maintained by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The reservoir and surrounding neighborhood lie east of the Hollywood Freeway and are overlooked from a distance by the Hollywood Sign.The reservoir is created by the Mulholland Dam, built in 1924, designed by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, then named the Bureau of Water Works and Supply, as part of the city's water storage and supply system.Hollywood Reservoir has appeared in films such as Chinatown (1974), where Hollis Mulwray is discovered dead along the shores, and Earthquake (1974). The reservoir is featured in Visiting... with Huell Howser Episode 915. and the Season 4 opening of the TV Series 9-1-1.

The Hollywood Dell is a residential neighborhood located in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles, California, in the lower eastern Santa Monica Mountains. Before Highway 101 was constructed, this area was one with Whitley Heights and considered part of the original Hollywood Hills. The generally accepted borders of "the Dell" are east of Cahuenga, north of Franklin, west of Argyle, and south of the Hollywood Reservoir. It is fully encompassed by zip code 90068.The Hollywood Dell is so named because it sits "in" the hills just above commercial and tourist-popular Hollywood, rather than atop the hills. In general, one must travel downhill to enter the dell, and uphill to exit it. The roads within the dell are mainly hilly, and many homes are built on hillside lots.With its close proximity to the Hollywood Bowl, the Dell is a popular free parking area for concertgoers. Concert parking is prohibited for such purposes, and a number of entries are guarded. However, locals who know their way around can get into the neighborhood and contribute to a problematic overcrowded parking situation on concert nights.Typical residences in the Hollywood Dell are single-family dwellings with a heavy influence of Spanish Colonial Revival Style architecture. There is also an active homeowners association, with voluntary dues, named the Hollywood Dell Civic Association.

The Monastery of the Angels was an American monastery of nuns of the Dominican Order located in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Founded in 1924, it was the first enclosed religious order to be established in the region. With their practice of perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the community served as a spiritual oasis to the people of the city, especially to members of the film industry, many of whom supported it until its closing in 2022.
