Worsley railway station was opened in 1864 to serve the town of Worsley in Greater Manchester. The Tyldesley Loopline closed in 1969 as a result of the Beeching Axe.

Co-op Academy Walkden is a secondary school in Walkden, Greater Manchester. Formerly on Birch Road, the school is now located on Old Clough Lane, and serves Walkden, Worsley, Linnyshaw, Roe Green, Ellenbrook and Boothstown. In September 2011, the school moved into a new building off Old Clough Lane as part of the government's BSF (Building Schools for the Future) agenda, a process whose early planning stages had begun in November 2006. The culmination of that work is a building that offers accommodation for 1,500 pupils. The new building is available for the community to use during out-of-school hours and this is managed by Salford Community Leisure. Formerly known as Walkden High School, the school converted to academy status in December 2018 joining the Co-op Academies Trust.

Monton Unitarian Church is a Unitarian church on Monton Green in Monton, a village in the City of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. Built between 1873 and 1875 to the designs of Thomas Worthington, it is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and is regarded as one of the architect's most accomplished Nonconformist churches. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II* listed building.

Monton Green railway station is a closed station in Eccles. Opened on 1 November 1887, Monton Green was the first station on the London and North Western Railway's Manchester and Wigan Railway, which connected Eccles with Wigan and the Tyldesley Loopline which connected Tyldesley, Leigh and Kenyon Junction. Other stations on the line were located at Worsley and Ellenbrook. The station was built on an embankment at the road junctions of Canal Bank and Parrin Lane in Monton. The Tyldesley Loopline was earmarked for closure in the Beeching Report, and Monton Green closed on 5 May 1969, along with the rest of the line. Since closure, the embankment spanning Monton Green has been demolished. However, the embankment running parallel to the Bridgewater Canal has been preserved as part of Salford City Council's Recreation Pathways scheme. The route is popular with walkers & cyclists, as the path gives excellent views over the local area.

Monton Mill was a cotton spinning mill in Eccles, Greater Manchester, England, built in 1906. It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. After production ended, it was demolished and replaced with housing; its name is preserved in the street name.

St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery or Wardley Cemetery is a cemetery in Wardley, a suburban area of the City of Salford, in Greater Manchester, England. It is close to and Swinton, Worsley, and Walkden. It is one of two large cemeteries in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford. Wardley Hall, a medieval manor house next to the cemetery, is the official residence of the Roman Catholic bishop of Salford.

Moorside High School, is a coeducational secondary school located in Swinton, Salford, near Manchester, England.Established in 1934, the school was located on the south side of the East Lancashire Road, to the south of Swinton town centre within the Salford Local Authority before being completely rebuilt in recent years.

Moorside railway station is a railway station serving the town of Swinton, Greater Manchester, England. The station stands on Moorside Road, close to the junction with Chorley Road (A6). Moorside is a local station on the Atherton Line between Wigan and Manchester, 6+1⁄2 miles (10.5 km) north-west of Manchester Victoria, with regular Northern Trains services to them as well as Salford, Walkden, Atherton and Hindley. It was opened in 1888 (along with the line) and, like others on the route, has a single island platform serving the two lines that pass through. When the line was quadrupled at the beginning of the 20th century, the two extra lines were laid to the south of the existing ones and were not given platforms. They were subsequently decommissioned in November 1965 and removed. Until 6 May 1974, it was named Moorside & Wardley, becoming Moorside on that date.Moorside is the least used station on the Atherton Line. On 17 February 2020, the entrance and ticket office were destroyed by a fire. Police believed the fire was started deliberately.The blaze took place weeks after the station had been refurbished. Prior to the renovation, the station had been regarded as one of the worst on the rail network, with outdated facilities.

Wardley Hall is an early medieval manor house and a Grade I listed building in the Wardley area of Worsley, Salford, in Greater Manchester (historically within Lancashire). (grid reference SD757021). There has been a moat on the site since at least 1292. The current hall dates from around 1500 but was extensively rebuilt in the 19th and 20th centuries. The 1894 restoration was carried out by John Douglas. The building is timber framed with a slate roof.The skull of St Ambrose Barlow, one of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales, is preserved in a niche at the top of the main staircase. He was hanged, drawn and quartered at Lancaster on 10 September 1641 after confessing to being a Catholic priest. According to legend, it is a screaming skull. The story of it being a screaming skull was told to journalists after it was stolen from Wardley Hall in the 1930s. It worked as the skull was duly returned. It has since been removed occasionally from Wardley Hall by the Bishop of Salford and no unusual or paranormal activities have been reported. Wardley Hall is the official residence of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Salford.
