Scout Creek is an urban gully, is located in Hornsby Shire local government area of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Parramatta River catchment.

North Epping is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 19 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Hornsby Shire. North Epping is in the Northern Sydney region, and is often referred to as part of the "North-West" or North Shore. Epping is a separate suburb to the south and under the Parramatta City Council, which shares the postcode of 2121. North Epping is a leafy suburb, surrounded by bushland of the upper section of Lane Cove National Park. North Epping is an enclave of Hornsby, geographically cut off from the bush land shire by the Lane Cove National Park. North Epping relies on nearby Epping for much of its infrastructure, including transport, libraries, and public swimming pools. There are many walking trails, including the Great North Walk which also links residing suburbs such as South Turramurra, Marsfield and West Pymble. One of the well known landmarks is Whale Rock.

South Turramurra is a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Ku-ring-gai Council. Turramurra and North Turramurra are separate suburbs.South Turramurra is a leafy suburb, surrounded by the upper section of the Lane Cove National Park. There are many walking trails, including the Great North Walk and walking trails with access to neighbouring suburbs such as North Epping, Marsfield and West Pymble.

Turramurra High School is a large public comprehensive co-educational high school of approximately 1177 students, operated by the New South Wales Department of Education, located in South Turramurra, a residential area on the Upper North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1967, although the current premises weren't occupied until 1968, it adjoins the Lane Cove National Park. The school has links with nearby Macquarie University and the Whitehouse Institute of Design as well as local business organisations. The current school principal is David Arblaster.

Macquarie University Village in Marsfield, New South Wales was originally developed by Macquarie University in 2001 for the purpose of housing students adjacent to the university campus and also housed Olympians for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. As of 2006, the village is now operated by Campus Living Villages, a company operating University Villages across Australia. The University Village contains 890 rooms and is located on land next to the campus. So far, the first two stages have been completed and is expected that the university will be delivering Stage 3 on campus for occupancy in the first semester of 2013. The project will consist of approximately 1,000 beds and have a mixed configuration of room numbers with associated common rooms. The buildings will be located north of the Aquatic Centre. Stage 3 will be followed by subsequent stages in what will ultimately be an aggregate of 5,000 student beds on campus.

Epping Boys High School is a government high school located at Marsfield, New South Wales, Australia, which was established in 1957. The current principal is Jessica Schadel.

The Faculty of Business and Economics is a constituent body of Macquarie University. The Faculty offers both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees as well as research degrees. The Faculty encompasses five departments, one school and one centre. The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology (CoESB) is a research centre that combines molecular biology, biotechnology, engineering, philosophy and ethics to design and build microbes that produce valuable products from agricultural and municipal waste. The Centre aims to use these microbes to seed a bio-based circular economy and leverage Australia's strengths in agriculture.The CoESB was awarded A$35 million in funding by the Australian Research Council, A$1 million from the New South Wales Government and A$13.1 million from partner organisations including Australian and international universities, public and private companies and government departments. As of December 2021 CoESB members have attracted A$23 million in additional funding from competitive grant schemes.The Centre held a virtual soft launch on 8 December 2020 and is planned to run for seven years (2020-2027).One start-up company, Samsara, has been spun out the Centre. Samsara is an enviro-tech company using bacterial enzymes to recycle otherwise hard to recycle plastics.

The Macquarie University Library is the largest academic library in Northern Sydney. The library holds over 1.8 million print and electronic items, including books, journals, newspapers, reports, conference proceedings, working papers, maps, Macquarie postgraduate theses, computer software, multimedia, microfilm, microfiche and additional non-print resources. The library provides access to over 600 databases; 500,000 e-books; more than 69,000 electronic journals; books, printed resources and multimedia via MultiSearch.

Christie Park is a sportsground located in the Northern Suburbs Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park. Christie Park is the home to FNSW NPL team, NWS Spirit FC. The park is owned by Ryde Council and leased to North West Sydney Football (formerly GHFA). The ground is used for semi-professional competitions such as NPL and WNPL. It is also used for the amateur men's & women's competition run by NWSF. Christie Park is also the home of the local refereeing association the North West Sydney Football Referees Association (NWSFRA).

Ahimsa is a heritage-listed residence and meditation meeting place located at 67 Cobran Road, Cheltenham, Hornsby Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by and built by Marie Byles during 1937. It is also known as Ahimsa, The Hut of Happy Omen and Sentosa. The property is owned by the National Trust of Australia (NSW). It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 1 March 2002.

The Macquarie University Real Tennis Club (formerly the Sydney Real Tennis Club) played real tennis at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Its only court closed on 31 December 2005, converted to other athletic uses. However, the university has agreed to provide land for another court as well as A$350,000 toward its construction. The club is working to provide additional funds required to begin construction. The real tennis club is still formally organized, and members may play at other real tennis clubs. It had been one of only five Australian real tennis clubs with courts, and now joins Real Tennis Perth as a club without a playing venue. The Sydney Real Tennis Club was reformed in June 2011 with the mission of establishing a new court in Sydney. The Cheltenham Recreation Club has become a confirmed location, that is yet to be built in to a real tennis venue.
