Macquarie University Real Tennis Club

Macquarie University ( mə-KWORR-ee) is a public research university based in Sydney, Australia, in the suburb of Macquarie Park. Founded in 1964 by the New South Wales Government, it was the third university to be established in the metropolitan area of Sydney.Established as a verdant university, Macquarie has five faculties, as well as the Macquarie University Hospital and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, which are located on the university's main campus in suburban Sydney. The university is the first in Australia to fully align its degree system with the Bologna Accord.

The Macquarie University Library is the largest academic library in Northern Sydney. The library holds over 1.8 million print and electronic items, including books, journals, newspapers, reports, conference proceedings, working papers, maps, Macquarie postgraduate theses, computer software, multimedia, microfilm, microfiche and additional non-print resources. The library provides access to over 600 databases; 500,000 e-books; more than 69,000 electronic journals; books, printed resources and multimedia via MultiSearch.

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology (CoESB) is a research centre that combines molecular biology, biotechnology, engineering, philosophy and ethics to design and build microbes that produce valuable products from agricultural and municipal waste. The Centre aims to use these microbes to seed a bio-based circular economy and leverage Australia's strengths in agriculture.The CoESB was awarded A$35 million in funding by the Australian Research Council, A$1 million from the New South Wales Government and A$13.1 million from partner organisations including Australian and international universities, public and private companies and government departments. As of December 2021 CoESB members have attracted A$23 million in additional funding from competitive grant schemes.The Centre held a virtual soft launch on 8 December 2020 and is planned to run for seven years (2020-2027).One start-up company, Samsara, has been spun out the Centre. Samsara is an enviro-tech company using bacterial enzymes to recycle otherwise hard to recycle plastics.

Morling College is a Baptist college in Macquarie Park, New South Wales. It is affiliated with the Australian Baptist Ministries. It is an approved teaching institution of the Australian College of Theology and a registered teaching institution of the University of Divinity, and is a member of the South Pacific Association of Bible Colleges. The principal is the Revd Ross Clifford AM.

The Faculty of Business and Economics is a constituent body of Macquarie University. The Faculty offers both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees as well as research degrees. The Faculty encompasses five departments, one school and one centre. Their flagship course, the Bachelor of Commerce, received a 5 out 5 stars rating in The Good Universities Guide when it comes to above average incomes for graduates in first-time, full employment, particularly in business. The Faculty of Business and Economics of Macquarie University is accredited by AACSB International.

The Macquarie University Hospital (abbreviated MUH) is a private teaching hospital owned by Macquarie University. The hospital is located within Macquarie University and is the first private hospital to be located on a university campus in Australia. The hospital is located near Macquarie University railway station and is also within the University's Research Park. Construction costs for the hospital were over $200 million including fit-out costs. The hospital comprises 144 beds, 14 operating theatres, and is staffed by over 200 surgeons and medical specialists. It has an imaging centre (MMI imaging) and a radiation oncology unit (Genesis Cancer Care). There are no emergency services at Macquarie University Hospital. The nearest emergency departments are at Ryde Hospital, Concord Hospital, or Royal North Shore Hospital.

The Australian School of Advanced Medicine is the first and only medical school in Australia to award degrees for sub-specialties in surgery in addition to PhD research opportunities for doctors. The school is based within the University Clinic Building adjacent and connected to the Macquarie University Hospital.The school has used successful teaching hospitals (particularly Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic) as models for its development and operations. The Australian School of Advanced Medicine is also a designated Concentration of Research Excellence (CORE) at Macquarie University in neuroscience, vascular science and surgery.

Macquarie University railway station is a metro station located on the Metro North West Line line, serving the Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park including the nearby Macquarie University and Macquarie Centre, as well as parts of the suburb of Marsfield. It was formerly part of the Sydney Trains T1 Northern Line, before being converted to metro use as part of the Sydney Metro network. It is the only train station in Australia which bears the name of a university.

Christie Park is a sportsground located in the Northern Suburbs Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park. Christie Park is the home to FNSW NPL team, NWS Spirit FC. The park is owned by Ryde Council and leased to North West Sydney Football (formerly GHFA). The ground is used for semi-professional competitions such as NPL and WNPL. It is also used for the amateur men's & women's competition run by NWSF. Christie Park is also the home of the local refereeing association the North West Sydney Football Referees Association (NWSFRA).

Macquarie Centre is a shopping centre in the suburb of Macquarie Park on the North Shore of Sydney and is located opposite the main campus of Macquarie University.

Macquarie University Village in Marsfield, New South Wales was originally developed by Macquarie University in 2001 for the purpose of housing students adjacent to the university campus and also housed Olympians for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. As of 2006, the village is now operated by Campus Living Villages, a company operating University Villages across Australia. The University Village contains 890 rooms and is located on land next to the campus. So far, the first two stages have been completed and is expected that the university will be delivering Stage 3 on campus for occupancy in the first semester of 2013. The project will consist of approximately 1,000 beds and have a mixed configuration of room numbers with associated common rooms. The buildings will be located north of the Aquatic Centre. Stage 3 will be followed by subsequent stages in what will ultimately be an aggregate of 5,000 student beds on campus.

Marsfield is a suburb in the Northern Sydney region of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Marsfield is located 16 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Ryde.The suburb is noted for its proximity to a number of leading scientific and tertiary educational institutions such as CSIRO, Macquarie University, the Macquarie Park Business Park and Macquarie University Hospital.
