Lormont (French pronunciation: ​[lɔʁmɔ̃]; Occitan: Larmont, [ˈlaɾmun]) is a commune in the Gironde department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, southwestern France. It is a suburb of the city of Bordeaux and is adjacent to it on the northeast. Thus, it is a member of the intercommunality Bordeaux Métropole.

Lormont-Lauriers tram stop is located on line A of the Tramway de Bordeaux, and served as terminus of the northern branch of that line between 21 December 2003, when the line opened, and 31 June 2008, when the branch was extended to La Gardette - Bassens - Carbon Blanc. The Pont d'Aquitaine is a large suspension bridge over the Garonne, north-west of the city of Bordeaux, in France. It forms part of the ring-road of Bordeaux and carries the A630 autoroute. It was completed in 1967 and its main span is 394 m (1,293 ft) long. The eastern and western aspects of the bridge are dramatically different. To the east there is a ridge of land which allows the roadway to enter the bridge with little or no slope. By contrast, to the west there is an area of flat land, forming part of the Medoc, which means the roadway across the bridge slopes dramatically upwards in order to gain sufficient height to enter the bridge.

Services run less frequently in the early morning, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.The tram stop is situated in the central reservation of Avenue du Docteur Schinazi and has just one platform, serving the single terminal track that continues south to Claveau.

It served as the terminus of the line from 20 October 2008, when it was extended from Bassins à Flot, until 20 June 2014, when the line was extended north to Berges de la Garonne. The stop is located on Rue Joseph Brunet in the city of Bordeaux and is operated by Transports Bordeaux Métropole.For most of the day on Mondays to Fridays, trams run at least every five minutes between central Bordeaux and Claveau, with alternate trams continuing to Berges de la Garonne. Services run less frequently in the early morning, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.The tram stop has two tracks, as does the line to the south, and the stop is served by two side platforms. Immediately to the north of the stop, there is a turnback siding and the line becomes single track and continues as such to the terminus at the next stop, Berges de la Garonne.
