Little Pinnacle

Parson's Barn is a large sea-level cavern below the Ballard Point cliffs, between Studland and Swanage bays in the English Channel. Ballard Point is the headland of the Ballard Downs, an area of chalk downland, on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, southern England. Parson's Barn lies directly east of Studland, a few hundred metres south of Handfast Point and the Old Harry Rocks. The cave is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northeast of Swanage. The sea once washed a huge hole in the base of the cliffs. This cavern was then used as a smugglers cave. A large section has collapsed since then and has been eroded away by the sea. Now only a few chalk stacks remain, these are called the Pinnacles. The waves have cut arches through the base of the stacks.

Old Harry Rocks are three chalk formations, including a stack and a stump, located at Handfast Point, on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, southern England. They mark the most eastern point of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ballard Cliff is part of the Jurassic Coast near Swanage in the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, England. The steeply dipping Cretaceous chalk that marks the northern end of Swanage Bay takes over from the Wealden beds at this location. A series of landslides during the late 1990s and early 2000s created a prominent white 'zig-zag' in the scarp. A rotational slip in the Chalk, Upper Greensand and Gault has developed, exposing a section of the soft, blue-grey Gault clay at the base of the cliff.

The Studland Armco Pillbox, also known as the Pillbox below Redend Point, is a Grade II listed Second World War Type 25 Armco pillbox, located on the beach at Studland Bay, Dorset, England. Manufactured by the Engineering & Metals Company, it rests on the beach below Fort Henry.

The Mortar Wreck is the name for a shipwreck located off the Dorset coast of England near the Poole Harbour, dated to the middle of the 13th century. It is the oldest protected shipwreck site in England with a hull still surviving. While the exact cause of its sinking is unknown, it is suspected that the weight of the cargo on the ship may have led to it. The site has been known since 1982, but it was not discovered to be a shipwreck until 2020. Artefacts recovered from the wreck were moved to a gallery in the Poole Museum in 2025.

Fort Henry is a Grade II listed World War Two observation bunker overlooking Studland Bay, in Dorset. It was built in 1943 to defend the bay from possible German invasion along with other beach defences such as gun emplacements, Type 25 pill boxes and concrete Dragon’s Teeth anti-tank obstacles (which have also been listed for protection).Located at the top of Redend Point, on a small sandstone promontory, the bunker is 90 feet (27 m) long with walls, floor and ceiling all 3 feet (0.91 m) thick. There is an 80 feet (24 m) wide recessed observation slit. Its name derives from the home base in Ontario of the Canadian Royal Engineers who built it. Today, it is owned by the National Trust and forms part of the Studland Beach Second World War walk.An English Heritage spokesman commented following the bunker's listing on 20 November 2012: Fort Henry provides an impression of the scale and significance of the preparations for D-Day and is associated with the most prominent figures of the Allied forces. Studland Bay is known for its beaches and wildlife but it is great that its role in the Second World War has now been recognised.

The Church of Saint Nicholas is a Church of England parish church in Studland, Dorset, England. It was built in the early 12th century on the foundations of an earlier Anglo-Saxon church. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a Grade I listed building, and is a good example of a small, largely unaltered, Norman church.

Studland is a village and civil parish on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, England. The village is located about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the town of Swanage, over a steep chalk ridge, and 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the South East Dorset conurbation at Sandbanks, from which it is separated by Poole Harbour. The parish includes Brownsea Island within the harbour. In the 2011 census the parish had 182 households and a population of 425, though many of the houses in the village are holiday homes, second homes, or guest houses, and the village's population varies depending upon the season. Swanage is famous for its beaches and nature reserve.

The remains of an armed cargo vessel were discovered in 1983 in Studland Bay, off Dorset, England. The site was designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act on 22 October 1984. The wreck is a Protected Wreck managed by Historic England

Peveril Point is a headland on the east-facing coast of the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, England, and is part of the town of Swanage. It forms the southern end of Swanage Bay. It is located at 50°36.43′N 01°56.69′W OS Grid Ref: SZ 041 787. The rocks that make up Peveril Point are shale and Portland and Purbeck limestone in a syncline structure. This has resisted erosion more than the adjacent clay of Swanage Bay; whilst the clay has eroded away over time, the limestone has remained as a headland. On top of Peveril Point is a National Coastwatch Institution lookout. The point is also home to Swanage Lifeboat Station.Peveril Point contains tunnels connecting disused gun emplacements which defended the entrance to Southampton Water from the west of the Isle of Wight during World War II.

Swanage Lifeboat Station is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station located on Peveril Point in the town of Swanage in Dorset, England. It operates two lifeboats, the Shannon-class All-weather lifeboat 13-13 George Thomas Lacy (ON 1320) and the D-class (IB1) inshore lifeboat (ILB) Roy Norgrove (D-884).The station underwent extensive re-development in 2015/16 with a new purpose built boat house to accommodate its new Shannon-class all-weather lifeboat (AWB), and was opened in 2017.
