Locquignol (French pronunciation: [lɔkiɲɔl]) is a commune in the Nord department in northern France.

The Arboretum de l'Étang David (10 hectares), also known as the Arboretum de Preux au Bois and the Arboretum de la Forêt de Mormal, is an arboretum located in the Forêt Domaniale de Mormal on the Route forestière du Pont-Routier southwest of Locquignol, Nord, Hauts-de-France, France. It was established in 1968 and currently contains about 60 species of trees.

The Helpe Mineure (French pronunciation: [ɛlp minœʁ], literally Helpe Minor or Little Helpe) is a river in France, which flows thorough the regions of Hauts-de-France. It arises in the municipality of Ohain at the confluence of two source streams. It corresponds roughly with the Arrondissement of Avesnes-sur-Helpe (east), the Arrondissement of Cambrai (south-west) and the Arrondissement of Valenciennes (north-west).Until the 17th century, it was an integral part of the County of Hainaut, ruled by the House of Valois-Burgundy and later by the House of Habsburg. It rises in the municipality of Ohain, with about a third of its watershed in Belgium, near the town of Momignies. The river initially marks the Franco-Belgian border as it flows north. Then it turns west and flows for 69 kilometres (43 mi) to its confluence north of Noyelles-sur-Sambre, as a southern tributary of the Sambre.
