St Peter's Church, Kinver

Kinver is a large village in the District of South Staffordshire in Staffordshire, England. It is in the far south-west of the county, at the end of the narrow finger of land surrounded by the counties of Shropshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. The nearest towns are Stourbridge, West Midlands, Kidderminster in Worcestershire and Bridgnorth, Shropshire. The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal passes through, running close to the course of the meandering River Stour. According to the 2011 census Kinver ward had a population of 7,225.

Kinver High School (formerly Edgecliff High School) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Kinver in the English county of Staffordshire.Previously a community school administered by Staffordshire County Council, Edgecliff High School converted to academy status in March 2015 and was renamed Kinver High School. The school is now sponsored by the Invictus Education Trust, but continues to coordinate with Staffordshire County Council for admissions

Dunsley is a hamlet in Kinver, Staffordshire, England. The settled part of the hamlet is the part of the village of Kinver, lying east of the River Stour.

Kinver Edge Hillfort, is a univallate Iron Age hillfort with a massive rampart and outer ditch along the south-west and south-east sides, with natural defences on the remaining sides. The fort is located at the northern end of Kinver Edge, in the civil parish of Kinver, Staffordshire.

Kinver Edge is a high heath and woodland escarpment just west of Kinver, about four miles west of Stourbridge, and four miles north of Kidderminster, and is on the border between Worcestershire and Staffordshire, England. It is now owned by the National Trust.

Kingsford Country Park, officially Kingsford Forest Park, was in Worcestershire, England, U.K. and managed by Worcestershire County Council. It adjoined Kinver Edge, Staffordshire, a National Trust property, to which it was connected by multiple paths. Part of the country park was formerly known as Blakeshall Common. The country park covers 200 acres (0.81 km2), consisting mainly of pine and broad leaved woodland with some heaths and a small section of grassland. The woodland stretches over a terrain of hills and cliffs, with many sandy paths crisscrossing the lower woodland—some even going up cliff outcrops and across to a middle section between the woodland floor and clifftops—and the main paths leading up to the cliffs, which are also dominated by woodland. There are four circular trails starting from Kingsford Lane and Blakeshall Lane car parks: The Robin Trail, a third of a mile (0.5 km) The Coal Tit Trail, over one mile (2 km) The Nuthatch Trail, about one and a half miles (2.5 km) The Woodpecker Trail, almost two miles (3 km)

Blakeshall is a hamlet in Worcestershire, England. It is one of the ancient townships of the manor of Wolverley, whose extent was similar to that of the modern civil parish of Wolverley & Cookley.

Cookley is a village in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire, England, a few miles to the north of Kidderminster, and close to the villages of Kinver and Wolverley. It lies on the River Stour, and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal in the civil parish of Wolverley and Cookley. At the time of the 2001 census had a population of 2,491.Commerce within the village include a Florist, a cafe, an Indian take away, a fish and chip shop and a village shop; all of which are family-run. It also has a Tesco Express and two Public Houses. The Village Hall is large and very well used by many different groups and clubs. It is situated alongside Cookley Playing Fields. The village has very active junior/senior Football and Cricket clubs.

The Smestow Brook, sometimes called the River Smestow, is a small river that plays an important part in the drainage of Wolverhampton, South Staffordshire, and parts of Dudley in the United Kingdom, and has contributed to the industrial development of the Black Country.
