Inglis Barracks was a military installation in Mill Hill, London, NW7. It was also referred to as Mill Hill Barracks. The site has been redeveloped and now contains a variety of modern housing.

Bittacy Hill Park is a small public park in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet.It is a hilly grassed area with mature trees, a children's playground and two free tennis courts.There is access from Bittacy Hill and Brownsea Walk, and by a footpath from between 27 and 29 Bittacy Rise.

The Dollis Valley Greenwalk (or Green Walk) is a footpath route in the London Borough of Barnet in London, England, between Moat Mount Nature Reserve in Mill Hill and Hampstead Heath. The route is designed to act as a link between the Capital Ring and the London Loop, and between the many green spaces and wildlife corridors along the way. It is approximately 10 miles (16 km) long. It mainly follows the Dollis Brook and is one of the many parks and open spaces in Barnet.

Mill Hill Substation Pastures is a fifteen-hectare Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet. The reserve consists of pastures grazed by horses around Mill Hill Electricity Substation. These contain patches of unimproved herb-rich pasture on damp clay soil. Locally uncommon plants include devil's bit scabious, sneezewort, pepper-saxifrage and red bartsia. The dividing hedges appear to be very old, and Burtonhole Brook, a tributary of Folly Brook, flows through the site, adding to its diversity of habitat. The hedgerows and woodland provide a refuge for birds. The reserve is on private land, but it can be viewed from Burtonhole Lane and Partingdale Lane.

The Dollis Brook Viaduct, also known as the Dollis Road Viaduct, Dollis Viaduct or Mill Hill Viaduct, is a railway viaduct to the west of Finchley, North London, United Kingdom. It carries the London Underground's Northern line from Mill Hill East station to Finchley Central station. It is the highest point on the London Underground above ground level, reaching nearly 60 feet (18 m). It is located on a branch that was formerly part of the Edgware, Highgate and London Railway.

Ashley Lane is a one hectare Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Hendon in the London Borough of Barnet. It is over 400 years old, and was an important medieval road. Cardinal Wolsey travelled along it on his final journey to York in 1530. It is now a bridleway which runs between Hendon Golf Course and Hendon Cemetery. The lane has retained its ancient hedgerows, which have developed into narrow belts of woodland. The main trees are Pedunculate oak and ash, together with some wild service-trees, and the hedge bottom flora include ramsons and bluebells.A small stream, a tributary of Dollis Brook, crosses the lane.The lane is the continuation of the public road Ashley Lane to Oakhampton Road.

Burtonhole Lane and Pasture is a 6.5 hectare Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, between Mill Hill and Totteridge in the London Borough of Barnet. It consists of Burtonhole Lane between Partingdale Lane and Burtonhole Close, a footpath east from Burtonhole Lane towards Folly Brook, two fields south of the footpath, and a narrow belt of privately owned woodland north of the footpath. Burtonhole Brook, a tributary of Folly Brook, crosses Burtonhole Lane and the fields.Burtonhole Lane is an old green lane which is now a public footpath and bridleway. It is flanked by tall hedgerows and woodland strips, which support a good variety of shrubs and a number of stately trees, most of them oak and ash. Birds include chaffinch, goldcrest, and green woodpecker, while mammals include stoat, weasel and bank vole. Frogs breed in a wet ditch at the base of the hedgerows.The fields are old London clay grassland, dominated by Yorkshire fog with some tufted hair-grass. Damper areas and Burtonhole Brook support a much more diverse flora.

Drivers Hill is a ten hectare Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet. It is owned by the Jehovah's Witnesses, who built their national headquarters, Watch Tower House, on the site in 1955. The house is a major printing works where 120 million Jehovah's Witnesses periodicals were printed in 2002.Drivers Hill consists of a number of fields and two small woods. The fields contain some species of flower typical of old pasture, such as crested dog's tail, oval sedge and lady's bedstraw. The larger wood, which is at the north of the site, is called Wentworth Hall Wood, and has a canopy mainly of pedunculate oak and ash. The other wood, in the south-west corner, is dominated by oak and sycamore.There is no public access, but the fields can be viewed from the end of Woodcote Avenue, and the south-west wood from Milespit Hill and Mill Hill Cemetery.

The "Finchley Gap" (or "Finchley depression") is a location in north London which today lies, and which for much of the Pleistocene epoch has lain, between higher ground to the north-west (Mill Hill) and south-east (Hampstead Heath). The term "Finchley Gap" has been used in archeological literature. "Finchley depression" has been used in geomorphological literature. Until the 1960s, it was supposed that the River Thames once flowed through the gap, on a loop running from Harefield to Ware.However, no deposits which were unambiguously of Thames origin were ever found along that line. And subsequent detailed study of deposits in the Vale of St Albans led researchers to the conclusion that the River Thames never flowed through the Finchley Gap. Instead, it was established that the river stayed on a course north-eastward through the Vale of St Albans until it was diverted, by the Anglian ice advance approximately 450,000 years ago, to a more southerly route, roughly along the line of that followed by today's river.A lobe of the Anglian ice sheet advanced at least as far south as the Finchley Gap. As it melted, it deposited about 14 metres of glacial till there.

Copthall Railway Walk and Copthall Old Common is a 9-hectare (22-acre) Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Mill Hill in the London Borough of Barnet.Copthall Railway Walk is a section just under a mile long of the Mill Hill East to Edgware line, closed in 1964, of the Edgware, Highgate and London Railway. It starts at a bridge under Sanders Lane, near Bittacy Hill, and passes another bridge under Sanders Lane near Bittacy Rise, finishing at Page Street. Copthall Old Common is south of the central section of the Railway Walk. To the south of the common is a green lane which goes by a public footpath through allotments to the Great North Way. The reserve is mainly woodland, with some scrub and rough grassland. The woodland is dominated by sycamore, oak and silver birch. The site has a good range of common birds and the rare and declining glow worm. The Common has some fine old oaks, and bluebells in the hedge bottom.
