Kardinia Church is a church based in Bell Post Hill, Geelong, Australia, with campuses in Ballarat, Warrnambool, Bell Post Hill and Melbourne. The church was established in 1915 as the Drumcondra Church of Christ. It was led by Senior Pastors Rick and Leonie Wright.

Western Heights College is a secondary school in Hamlyn Heights, Geelong, Australia. Also known as Western Heights Community College, it is situated in Vines Road with its adjoining campus being the Vines Road Community Centre. The college is spread across three buildings, with Year 7 and 8 in the red building, Year 9 and 10 in the grey building and Year 11 and 12 in the yellow building. As of 2016, the school has 605 students, with only 204 being girls and 401 boys. The school currently has a lower than average Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage (ICSEA) score of 950.

Morongo Girls' College was a Presbyterian school for girls, founded in 1920 on Bell Post Hill near Geelong, Australia, on the site of an original homestead (called Morongo).The founding principal was Gertrude Pratt BA, the second principal was Miss Shaw BA (Qld) and Dulcie Brookshaw was the third headmistress. The fourth and final headmistress was Judith Watt. Morongo Girls' College closed at the end of 1994, and the site is now occupied by Kardinia International College. A book on the school's history was commissioned and published by the school council in 1969.Morongo Girls' College was associated with Geelong College. Geelong College is now the caretaker of artefacts from Morongo.

Kardinia International College is a private K–12 school located in Bell Post Hill, Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It is a triple campus college, residing on the site of the former Morongo Girls' College and has two other campuses, one in Lovely Banks, Geelong and another located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Enrolment across the school is usually around 1800 full time students.

Hamlyn Heights is a residential suburb of Geelong. It located to the west of the city on hills that overlook Corio Bay. It was named after Sidney Hamlyn, a local resident in the 1940s.At the 2016 census, Hamlyn Heights had a population of 6,293.The suburb boundaries are Church St, Ballarat Rd, Moorabool River and two unmarked boundaries extending between Church St to Moorabool River and between Moorabool River and Ballarat Rd. Hamlyn Heights has two retail areas. A large shopping strip is located in Vines Rd. The Post Office opened here on 2 February 1959 it is known as Vines Road, Geelong. A small group of shops also exist in Fairlie St. Hamlyn Heights was the home to international actor Guy Pearce who lived in Hamlyn Heights during the 1990s.

Bell Park is a residential suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It is located 3 km north-west of the Geelong city centre and is bordered to the north by Cowies Creek, to the east by Thompson Road, to the south by the Midland Highway and to the west by Anakie Road. At the 2016 Census, Bell Park had a population of 5,009.

The Geelong Golf Club is a defunct golf club founded in 1892 and was the oldest in the state of Victoria, Australia. It was located in the northern Geelong suburb of North Geelong and maintained an 18-hole course bounded by Ballarat Road and bisected by Thompson Road. The club ran into financial difficulties, $250,000 in 2001 and management of the club was taken over by PGA Links on 18 February 2002. Within 18 months, the sister company of PGA Links, Links Group had bought the Geelong Golf Club outright for $3.1 million. The 146 acres (59 ha) in the middle of Geelong was then valued at up to $18 million.The Links Group hoped to build 200 houses and a new nine-hole course on the site, closed the course in July 2004 when the City of Greater Geelong denied planning permission for the scheme. A revised plan was put on public display in May 2005, and referred to an independent panel in November the same year. The site was then put up for sale, before being taken off the market in May 2008. with the site now value at between $20 million and $25 million. The site remains unoccupied as of 2008. The golf course was closed for a number of years during its re-development of the site and has since re-opened as a nine-hole course. Geelong Golf Club Residential Estate In late 2013 construction of the Geelong Golf Club Residential Estate began, with plans for 350 new homes, parks and 9-hole golf course included as a part of the redevelopment. Now in 2021 there is a 9-hole Golf course with housing skirting it’s fairways.

Clonard College is an independent Roman Catholic secondary day school for girls, located in Herne Hill, a suburb of Geelong, in Victoria, Australia. Founded and owned by the Brigidine Sisters in 1956, Clonard College follows the traditions of the Brigidine order and Kildare Ministries. Luci Quinn is the College Principal.

North Geelong is a suburb of Geelong in the Australian state of Victoria. The suburb was bypassed by traffic from Melbourne coming from the Princes Freeway by the creation of the Geelong Ring Road, which was complete in 2009. At the 2016 census, North Geelong had a population of 2,966.The Australian department store, Target (not affiliated with the American Target Corporation)[1], was founded in Geelong in 1925 and was called Lindsay's at the time. Its head office was located on Thompson Road but is no longer there. The suburb has an Australian rules football team competing in the Geelong & District Football League and a Croatian association football team North Geelong Warriors FC that are currently competing in the National Premier Leagues Victoria.

Herne Hill is a residential suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 census, Herne Hill had a population of 3,413. It is in the federal Division of Corio, and its postcode is 3218. The former Geelong Protestant and Orphan Asylum and common school was built in 1855 - one of the first four orphanages set up in Victoria during the 1850s. The orphan asylum site was acquired by Portland Cement in 1933.Herne Hill's suburban growth came after World War II. The State primary and Catholic primary schools opened in 1954 and 1955, and a State technical school opened in 1954. The Catholic Brigidine Sisters opened a convent and Clonard College in 1956.

The Electoral district of Geelong North was an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It was largely replaced by the district of Lara in the redistribution before the 2002 election.

At the 2016 census, Bell Post had a population of 4,919.The origin of the suburb's name is thought to be from a lookout or warning bell on a post or forked tree situated on the hill overlooking Corio Bay and the Moorabool river known as Morongo estate.
