Bushey is a railway station in Hertfordshire which serves Bushey and Oxhey. It is situated on the West Coast Main Line, 5 miles (8 km) north of Harrow & Wealdstone, on an embankment. North of the station, the railway crosses the Colne valley on several viaducts. The station is served by London Northwestern Railway semi-fast trains on the West Coast main line, and by London Overground services on the Watford DC line, a slow local service along the West Coast route. At Bushey, this branches west on a loop to serve Watford High Street railway station, before rejoining the main line at Watford Junction.

Oxhey is a suburb of Watford, under the jurisdiction of the Watford Borough Council of the county of Hertfordshire, England. It is located at grid reference TQ125955 and is part of the Watford. It is in the Oxhey Ward of Watford Borough Council. Oxhey grew during the mid-19th century with the coming of the London and Birmingham Railway from London Euston to Boxmoor in 1837, the settlement being developed to house railway workers. The line was completed to Birmingham in 1838. It was originally called 'New Bushey', after the well-established village a mile away, but was renamed 'Oxhey' in 1907. Oxhey's parish church is St Matthew's, a Grade II listed building dating from 1880 in Gothic Revival style with some elements of early Art Nouveau decoration. The church also features a Karl Parsons window in the Lady Chapel.Oxhey Grange in Oxhey Lane was built in 1876 by architect William Young (1843-1900) in the High Victorian Gothic style. It is a Grade II listed building. The wider locations which comprise the modern Oxhey area are Oxhey Village (the area around Bushey station and between Pinner Road and London Road), Oxhey Hall (the area along Hampermill Lane towards Moor Park) and South Oxhey, although this is really a suburb in itself which is adjacent to Oxhey. It is an oddity that the main line station, which serves both Oxhey and the town of Bushey a mile away, is situated on the edge of Oxhey Village and yet is called Bushey Station. The original name of the station was 'Bushey', it was renamed 'Bushey & Oxhey' when Oxhey Village was renamed, and was then renamed again in 1974.

Oxhey Golf Club is a golf course located near Watford in Hertfordshire, England. The course first opened for play on 4 May 1912 with a match between Ted Ray, the Oxhey professional, and Harry Vardon of South Hertfordshire, the latter also being the course designer. Ray played fine golf while Vardon struggled with his putting. Ray won the match 4&2. The course has been host to several important tournaments including the News of the World PGA Match Play Tournament and the McVitie & Price Tournament. The club ceased to operate and was closed down on 31 October 1946. In 1991 the course was re-opened as a nine-hole course and became known as Oxhey Park Golf Club.It is now permanently closed.

Carpenders Park is a railway station located between the Hertfordshire suburb of Carpenders Park and the South Oxhey housing estate, 3 km (1.9 mi) south of Watford Junction on the Watford DC Line. The station is an island platform reached by a subway. This has exits to both the Carpenders Park (east) and South Oxhey (west) estates. London Overground services from London Euston to Watford Junction currently serve this station.

Carpenders Park is a suburb of Watford in the Watford Rural parish of the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire, England. It is located in the south western corner of Hertfordshire and close to the boundary with Greater London. It is bounded to the West by a railway line that separates it from South Oxhey, to the East by the A4008 Watford to Harrow Road (Oxhey Lane), to the South by the B4542 (Little Oxhey Lane), Green Belt and the boundary with the London Borough of Harrow and to the North by woodland (Margeholes Wood and Sherwood Wood).

Watford Museum is a local museum in Watford, Hertfordshire, in the United Kingdom. It is owned by Watford Borough Council and is located on the Lower High Street in Watford. The museum opened in 1982 and is housed in a Grade II-listed Georgian town house which was previously the premises of Benskins Brewery. Its collection includes fine art, displays about local heritage, industry and sport, with a special collection related to the history of the Cassiobury Estate.

Watford High Street is a railway station in Watford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. It is served by the Watford DC line on the London Overground network. It is the only station on the line's sole deviation from the West Coast Main Line.

Watford Rural is a civil parish in the Three Rivers District of Hertfordshire, England. Located approximately 14 miles (23 km) northwest of central London and adjacent to the Greater London boundary, it is an urbanised parish characterised by suburban residential development. The local council is Watford Rural Parish Council. The parish covers South Oxhey and Carpenders Park, which although part of the Watford urban area, are outside the borough of Watford. The parish was created in 1894 when the ancient Watford parish was split into urban and rural parishes. At the 2011 census it had a population of 20,867.

Merry Hill is a 76 hectare partly wooded area in Hertfordshire, England, managed by the Woodland Trust. To the north is Oxhey and Bushey, to the west is South Oxhey and Carpenders Park, to the south is Hatch End and Harrow Weald, and to the north-west is Bushey Heath. The Woodland Trust acquired part of the site in 1996, and carried out tree-planting; part of the new woodland has been given the name Little Hartsbourne Wood. In 1998 the Trust took a lease on another area which has been planted with fruit trees.Merry Hill is also the name of a southwestern area of Bushey town.

Falconer School is a secondary school catering to students with special needs (primarily learning disabilities or those diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health - SEMH difficulties). Falconer is situated in Hertfordshire and provides day education for pupils that attend. The school was founded in 1974, in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

Croxley Green Light Maintenance Depot was a traction maintenance depot located in Croxley, Watford, England that provided storage and light maintenance for electric multiple units working the Watford DC line.The depot was near the triangular junction where the line to the since closed Croxley Green station branch line branched off from the former Watford and Rickmansworth Railway, and both branches met the Watford DC line. The depot tracks left the depot in the westward direction, so empty stock workings from Watford and London would carry along a headshunt before reversing into the car shed. The River Colne flowed under the railway line on two bridges carrying the main line and the depot throat tracks.
