The Embassy of Algeria in Kyiv is the diplomatic mission of Algeria in Ukraine, and its accreditation in Moldova.

State Treasury Service of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Державна казначейська служба України), formerly State Treasury of Ukraine, is a government agency under the Ministry of Finance which is the central body of the executive power of Ukraine, which implements the state policy in the field of treasury service of budget funds. It is a member of the electronic payment system of the National Bank of Ukraine. Through the Ministry of Finance, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine directs and coordinates the agency's operation. The Treasury of Ukraine was established to carry out state policy in the treasury service of budget funds. It is a part of the system of executive authorities.

Institute of Higher Education of NAPS (National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences) of Ukraine - is one of the NAPS Institutes responsible for control, research and development of system of higher education.

Zvirynetska (Ukrainian: Звіринецька) is a station of Kyiv Metro's Syretsko-Pecherska Line. It is situated between Pecherska and Vydubychi stations. This station was opened on 30 December 1991. Until May 2023 the station was named Druzhby Narodiv or Friendship of Peoples (Ukrainian: Дружби Народів, , named after the former name of Mikhnovsky Boulevard, which is located above the station) Druzhby Narodiv station was designed by architects Alyoshkin and Krushynskiy. It is a deep-level station. The station is connected by escalators with a passenger tunnel situated under Druzhby Narodiv boulevard. The station station operates from 05:43 to 00:12. On Friday 13 January 2023 the Kyiv City Council announced Druzhby Narodiv metro station would be renamed. In a poll organised by them Kyiv residents cast more than 100,000 votes for the renaming of seven city objects, including this station and Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho. In a May 2022 online poll (with 170,000 respondents) voters chose to rename the station Botanical (Ukrainian: Ботанічна) — after the nearby Hryshko National Botanical Garden — in a poll taken during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine; other choices included European and Red Viburnum. The Druzhby Narodiv boulevard itself was renamed to Mykola Mikhnovsky boulevard on 8 December 2022. In the January 2023 poll the majority of votes went to the name Zvirynets (Ukrainian: Звіринець), a historical neighbourhood inside Pecherskyi District where the metro station is situated in. On 18 May 2023 the Kyiv City Council renamed the station to Zvirynetska.

Pecherskyi District (Ukrainian: Печерський район, romanized: Pecherskyi raion) is an urban district of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It lies within the eponymous historical neighborhood, while also including some other historical areas. The Pechersk (Ukrainian: Печерськ, Pechers'k) neighborhood is located on the hills adjoining the right bank of the Dnieper. These two geographical entities are often confused with each other. The Pecherskyi District can be considered to be the very heart of Ukraine.

Vydubychi (Ukrainian: Видубичі, ) is a station of Kyiv Metro's Syretsko-Pecherska Line. It is situated between Druzhby Narodiv and Slavutych stations. This station was opened on 30 December 1991. Vydubychi station was designed by architects T. Tselikovska. The station has 2 entrances. One of them is situated in underground passage under the crossing of Saperno-Slobidska street and Naddniprianske shose. Another is situated near the bus station Vydubychi, the Vydubychi railway station of the Kyiv Urban Electric Train and the Vydubychi-Trypilski rail station. The second entrance was built in 2001. Vydubychi station works from 05:42 to 00:15.

The Second Battle of Kiev was a part of a much wider Soviet offensive in Ukraine known as the Battle of the Dnieper involving three strategic operations by the Soviet Red Army and one operational counterattack by the Wehrmacht, which took place between 3 November and 22 December 1943. Following the Battle of Kursk, the Red Army launched the Belgorod-Kharkov Offensive Operation, pushing Erich von Manstein's Army Group South back towards the Dnieper River. Stavka, the Soviet high command, ordered the Central Front and the Voronezh Front to force crossings of the Dnieper. When this was unsuccessful in October, the effort was handed over to the 1st Ukrainian Front, with some support from the 2nd Ukrainian Front. The 1st Ukrainian Front, commanded by Nikolai Vatutin, was able to secure bridgeheads north and south of Kiev.

The Battle of Kiev of December 1919 was the third of three battles fought that year in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine during the Russian Civil War. The Kiev operation (December 10–16, 1919) was an offensive operation of the 12th Army under command of Sergei Mezheninov against some 9,000 White Guard troops under command of Abram Dragomirov. The 58th Infantry Division of the 12th Army was advancing to Kiev from the west, and the 44th Infantry Division from the east. On December 10, the 44th Infantry Division of the 12th Army withdrew to the Dnieper River. On the night of 15 to 16 December, with the assistance of local fisherman PK Alekseenko (Alekseyev), the 44th Infantry Division under command of Ivan Naumovich Dubovoy forced the Dnieper, which was just starting to freeze. Early on the morning of December 16, the Reds unexpectedly attacked the White's positions from the rear and occupied the bridges. After a twelve-hour battle, the Whites retreated. On the same day, the 58th Infantry Division under command of Ivan Fedko entered the city.

The battle of Kyiv was part of the Kyiv offensive in the Russian invasion of Ukraine for control of Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine, and surrounding districts. The combatants were elements of the Russian Armed Forces and Ukrainian Armed Forces. The battle lasted from 25 February 2022 to 2 April 2022 and ended with the withdrawal of Russian forces. Initially, Russian forces captured key areas to the north and west of Kyiv, leading to international prediction of the city's imminent fall. However, stiff Ukrainian resistance sapped Russian momentum. Poor Russian logistics and tactical decisions helped the defenders to thwart efforts at encirclement, and, after a month of protracted fighting, Ukrainian forces began counterattacking. Following the successful Ukrainian counterattacks in late March, Russia began withdrawing its forces from the Kyiv area on 29 March. Four days later, the Ukrainian authorities declared that Kyiv and the surrounding Kyiv Oblast were again under Ukrainian control.

The Battle of Kiev in January 1919 was one of the three battles in Kiev (Kyiv), capital of Ukraine during the Russian Civil War and Ukrainian–Soviet War. It involved an offensive by elements of the Ukrainian Front of the Red Army to capture Kiev.This battle was a part of the General Offensive of the Ukrainian Front in Ukraine. On January 22, Nizhyn was occupied. On January 24, the Red Army approached Brovary and occupied the city after fierce fighting. On February 5, after three days of fighting, the Red Army entered Kiev.

The M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden (Ukrainian: Національний ботанічний сад імені М.М. Гришка, Natsionalnyi botanichnyi sad im. M.M.Hryshka) is located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden is a botanical garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It is named after the Soviet botanist Mykola Hryshko who was born in Poltava. Founded in 1936, the garden covers 1.3 km² (120 hectares) and contains 13,000 types of trees, shrubs, flowers and other plants from all over the world. It has many coniferous trees and honey locusts, and flowers such as peonies, roses, magnolias, and bushes including lilacs. The garden has hothouses, conservatories, greenhouses and rosaries. It is the most popular amongst the residents, where one can see exotic plants, and attend flower exhibitions. The blooming lilacs at the end of spring are popular in the central garden. The Vydubychi Monastery and Trinity Monastery of St. Jonas are located on the grounds of the botanical gardens. The territory of the garden is divided into floristic complexes, such as Ukrainian Carpathians, Plains of Ukraine, Crimea, Caucasus, Central Asia, Altai and Western Siberia, Far East. In every zone, plants typical for a particular region can be found. The geography and landscape of each territory were recreated as well. Also, the garden has a large collection of unique and rare tropical and subtropical plants that are represented in the greenhouse. The Botanical garden can impress with more than 350 species of orchids. In 2012, with the assistance of the Korean government, a Korean traditional garden based on Changdeok was created in the National Botanical Garden to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea.

Military Institute of Telecommunication and Information Technologies named after the Heroes of Kruty (Ukrainian: Військовий інститут телекомунікацій та інформатизації імені Героїв Крут, Viyskovyi instytut telekomunikatsiy ta informatyzatsii) is an institution of higher military education in Ukraine and part of the State University of Telecommunications, located in Pechersk neighborhood of Kyiv. In the Soviet times (since 1965) it was known as the Kyiv Military Engineering College of Signal (Ukrainian: Київське вище військове інженерне училище зв'язку імені М. І. Калініна). In 2001 – 2013 it was part of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It is an important educational center for high-tech electronics and telecommunications and has a branch in Poltava.
