Sir George Monoux College is a sixth form college located in Walthamstow, London. It is a medium-sized college with around 1,620 full-time students as of 2018.

Aveling Park School was a mixed secondary school situated on Aveling Park Road, Walthamstow which educated up to 600 pupils. In the early 1970s it was called William Fitt Junior High School and was a feeder school to McEntee, Walthamstow Girls, and Sir George Monoux Senior High Schools. William Fitt Secondary Modern School moved from its temporary site (shared with Winns Avenus Junior School) in Elphinstone Road, to the new purpose built school building in Lloyds Park in September 1962. The Headteacher at the time was Mr G R Easton. The school's motto was "Semper Aptus" ('Always Fit' or 'Always Prepared') Notable ex-pupils include Cartrain, choreographer Matthew Bourne and footballers Teddy Sheringham, Colin Kazim-Richards and Chris Day. Aveling Park was created from the merging of William Fitt and Chapel End Senior School at the start of the 1986 school year. Although the two schools merged, the sites were retained and known as their respective previous names until the demolition of the old Victorian Chapel End school building some years later. In September 2008, Aveling Park School merged with the Warwick School for Boys to form a new school on the site of the former Hawker Siddeley factory in Fulborne Road. The new school is known as the Frederick Bremer School.

Walthamstow Stadium was a greyhound racing track in the London Borough of Waltham Forest in east London. It was regarded as the leading greyhound racing stadium in Britain following the closure of White City in 1984. The stadium closed on 16 August 2008.

The statue of Winston Churchill in Woodford, London, is a bronze sculpture of the British statesman, created by David McFall in 1958–9. The statue commemorates Churchill's role as the member for the parliamentary constituency of Woodford. Churchill was elected to the Epping seat in 1924 and held it until 1945 when the new constituency of Woodford was created. Churchill then held this seat until his retirement in 1964. The statue is a Grade II listed structure.

Clapton Community Football Club is a football club based in Forest Gate, London, England. Their men's team are currently members of the Middlesex County League Premier Division and play at Wadham Lodge in Walthamstow, groundsharing with Walthamstow F.C. Their women's team compete in the Greater London Women's Football League Premier.

Walthamstow Football Club are a football club based in Walthamstow, who play in the Essex Senior League. They have played under a number of names and were known as Leyton Pennant up until the end of the 2002–03 season, and Waltham Forest until the end of the 2017–18 season.
