Long Island Farm is a historic farmstead at 2200 Cromwell Bridge Road in Parkville, Maryland. The main house is a rambling multi-part building whose oldest part is said to date to 1764, when Isaac Risteau purchased the property. The main eastern block of the house is built of stone and is five bays wide, but shows evidence that it once consisted of several separate sections that were built separately and then combined. The western block is a modern 20th century addition. The farmstead was associated with the Risteau and Jenifer families for over two centuries.Long Island Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Loch Raven is a neighborhood extending from northeast Baltimore City to the eastern part of Baltimore County, Maryland. The major road in the neighborhood is Loch Raven Boulevard, which stretches all the way from the I-695 beltway in Baltimore County to 25th Street in Baltimore City. It is located in the Baltimore Metro Area, and is considered one of the longest roads in the area with many different aspects of Baltimore that can be seen by riding through the area. This region is a diverse, but predominantly African American part of the city and county, and is also the area that consists of a large amount of Morgan State University students. Cromwell Valley Park is a public park just to the north of Baltimore City. The park initially opened in 1993, on 426 acres (172 ha) of rural farm land. It is primarily open fields, woods, cultivated gardens and orchards. The varied terrain provides an excellent habitat for local wildlife, particularly birds of prey which feed on large populations of mice, rabbits and other small mammals. Healthy populations of white-tailed deer, red fox and local songbirds can also be found throughout the park. Several miles of trails traverse the park making it popular among local hikers, birdwatchers and photographers.

WNST (1570 kHz) is a sports radio station located in Towson, Maryland, near Baltimore. It is owned and operated by local sports media personality Nestor Aparicio through Nasty 1570 Sports, LLC.WNST was the first 24-hour all sports radio station in Baltimore. The station features local programming from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm. Monday - Friday. When the local programming is not on the air, there is a live feed of Fox Sports Radio. WNST ignited a debate in the Baltimore area by arranging a "Free the Birds" rally at Camden Yards to protest the ownership of the Orioles by Peter Angelos. The rally took place on September 21, 2006, during a make-up game against the Detroit Tigers.On March 30, 2011, it was reported that Jen Royle, a Baltimore sports reporter for WJZ-FM (105.7) filed a $800,000 defamation suit against Aparicio and two WNST hosts, Glenn Clark and Drew Forrester. Royle, who also worked for MASN, claims that Aparicio and the WNST hosts hurt her reputation with damaging statements about her professional and personal life. Aparicio's lawyer said the accusations are "baseless", and Aparicio denied wrongdoing in a blog entry. Royle later dropped the lawsuit.

Loch Raven High School is a high school in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States.

The Imam Mahdi Islamic Education Center (IMIEC) of Baltimore is a mosque and Islamic education center in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is located on 2406 Putty Hill Ave, Parkville, Maryland, 21234; the site was purchased in 2003 by donation of a local Muslim. It is a heavily fortified building, with no way in other than with a key. Unfortunately, it currently lacks any guards and the current owner of the mosque is unknown, though one can contact IMIEC leadership through their website. As with many American mosques, there is not a permanent sheikh only serving IMIEC. Learned community members, both male and female, give lectures when the sheikh is traveling. IMIEC is independently funded by community members, not by the Iranian government. The community is largely made up of Iranian immigrants though a variety of cultures and languages are represented. IMIEC began giving many lectures in English as the community grew. The Urdu-speaking community has historically held services at IMIEC on Thursday evenings, whereas the rest of the community attends on Friday evenings. Men and women sit in the same room for prayer and khutbah, separated by a curtain. Children are free to sit on either side. A large dinner is often served after evening services.
