Notre Dame Preparatory School is a private, all-girls Roman Catholic, independent school in Towson, Maryland. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore. Notre Dame Preparatory School is one of Baltimore's oldest Catholic, college preparatory schools for girls. Founded in 1873 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, a teaching order from Germany, Notre Dame Prep is located in Towson, Maryland, north of Baltimore City.

Towson Place, formerly Eudowood Plaza and Towson Marketplace, is an outdoor shopping center in Towson, Maryland. Opened in 1962, it was redeveloped extensively in 1998. The shopping center's major stores include Target, Walmart, Weis Markets, Marshalls, Bed Bath & Beyond, DSW Shoe Warehouse, PetSmart, Michaels, TJ Maxx, and Havertys. It is managed by Kimco Realty.

Calvert Hall College High School (also known as "Calvert Hall" or "CHC") is a Catholic college preparatory high school for boys, located in Towson, Maryland, United States. The school's mission is to make its students "men of intellect, men of faith, and men of integrity." It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Baltimore, the first Catholic diocese founded in the Western Hemisphere in 1789. The school was established in 1845 by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools as a Catholic college preparatory high school for boys and is the oldest Christian Brothers school in the United States. The third oldest, La Salle Academy in New York City was founded by Christian Brothers from this school in 1848. Among its academic offerings is the McMullen Scholars Program, a four-year advanced-level curriculum requiring extra coursework in humanities, rhetoric and logic, and a senior independent project. Additionally, a program for assisting students with learning differences exists (the La Salle program).

WNST (1570 kHz) is a sports radio station located in Towson, Maryland, near Baltimore. It is owned and operated by local sports media personality Nestor Aparicio through Nasty 1570 Sports, LLC.WNST was the first 24-hour all sports radio station in Baltimore. The station features local programming from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm. Monday - Friday. When the local programming is not on the air, there is a live feed of Fox Sports Radio. WNST ignited a debate in the Baltimore area by arranging a "Free the Birds" rally at Camden Yards to protest the ownership of the Orioles by Peter Angelos. The rally took place on September 21, 2006, during a make-up game against the Detroit Tigers.On March 30, 2011, it was reported that Jen Royle, a Baltimore sports reporter for WJZ-FM (105.7) filed a $800,000 defamation suit against Aparicio and two WNST hosts, Glenn Clark and Drew Forrester. Royle, who also worked for MASN, claims that Aparicio and the WNST hosts hurt her reputation with damaging statements about her professional and personal life. Aparicio's lawyer said the accusations are "baseless", and Aparicio denied wrongdoing in a blog entry. Royle later dropped the lawsuit.

WLIF (101.9 FM, "Today's 101.9") is a commercial radio station licensed to serve Baltimore, Maryland. The station is owned by Audacy, Inc. through licensee Audacy License, LLC and broadcasts an adult contemporary format. Its studios are located on Clarkview Road in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Baltimore, while its broadcast tower is located near Loch Raven Reservoir near Towson. at (39°25′7.0″N 76°33′16.2″W).

Hampton National Historic Site, in the Hampton area north of Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA, preserves a remnant of a vast 18th-century estate, including a Georgian manor house, gardens, grounds, and the original stone slave quarters. The estate was owned by the Ridgely family for seven generations, from 1745 to 1948. The Hampton Mansion was the largest private home in America when it was completed in 1790 and today is considered to be one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the U.S. Its furnishings, together with the estate's slave quarters and other preserved structures, provide insight into the life of late 18th-century and early 19th-century landowning aristocracy. In 1948, Hampton was the first site selected as a National Historical Site for its architectural significance by the U.S. National Park Service. The grounds were widely admired in the 19th century for their elaborate parterres or formal gardens, which have been restored to resemble their appearance during the 1820s. Several trees are more than 200 years old. In addition to the mansion and grounds, visitors may tour the overseer's house and slave quarters, one of the few plantations having its original slave quarters surviving to the present day.

Still, occasionally the two library systems share resources and expertise.BCPL has 19 branch locations. BCPL's Mobile Library Services operates 4 bookmobiles, with the two largest branches at Catonsville and North Point, while fulfilling environmental and sustainable goals. Goucher College ( GOW-chər) is a private liberal arts college in Towson, Maryland. Founded in 1885 as a non-denominational women's college in Baltimore's central district, the college is named for pastor and missionary John F. Goucher, who enlisted local leaders of the Methodist Episcopal Church to establish the school's charter. Goucher relocated to its present Towson campus in 1953 and became coeducational in 1986.Goucher grants BA and BS degrees in a range of disciplines across 31 majors and 39 minors. Goucher is among the few colleges in the United States to require all undergraduates spend a semester studying abroad. Goucher is a member of the Landmark Conference and competes in the NCAA's Division III in lacrosse, tennis, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and horseback riding. Goucher partners with nearby Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University Maryland, and the University of Baltimore to allow students to earn accelerated post-graduate or combined undergraduate degrees. Goucher also offers a postbaccalaureate premedical program, master's programs in the arts and humanities, and professional development courses in writing and education. As of 2023, Goucher enrolls approximately 1,100 undergraduates and 900 post-graduates. Hampton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 5,052 at the 2010 census. Hampton is often considered a subdivision of the nearby community of Towson and is located just north of Baltimore, about twenty minutes from downtown. Hampton contains residences situated on lots up to several acres in a park-like setting (current zoning limits density to not more than two residential units per acre). The community is anchored by its principal landmark, the Hampton National Historic Site. The Towson United Methodist Church is located in Hampton, flanked on the south by I-695 and Goucher College.

Cromwell Valley Park is a public park just to the north of Baltimore City. The park initially opened in 1993, on 426 acres (172 ha) of rural farm land. It is primarily open fields, woods, cultivated gardens and orchards. The varied terrain provides an excellent habitat for local wildlife, particularly birds of prey which feed on large populations of mice, rabbits and other small mammals. Healthy populations of white-tailed deer, red fox and local songbirds can also be found throughout the park. Several miles of trails traverse the park making it popular among local hikers, birdwatchers and photographers.

Towson Town Center is a large indoor shopping mall located in Towson, Maryland. It was the largest indoor shopping mall in Maryland prior to the completion of Arundel Mills in late 2000 in Hanover and the 2007 expansion of Westfield Annapolis.
