Stevens Park Golf Course is a public golf course in the Kessler area of Dallas, Texas United States. Often described as the "Little Augusta" of North Texas, the course is located just west of Downtown Dallas and nestled between the Stevens Park Estates and Kessler Park neighborhoods.

La Réunion was a utopian socialist community formed in 1855 by French, Belgian, and Swiss colonists on the south bank of the Trinity River in central Dallas County, Texas (US). The colony site is a short distance north of Interstate 30 near downtown Dallas. The founder of the community, Victor Prosper Considerant, was a French democratic socialist who directed an international movement based on Fourierism, a set of economic, political, and social beliefs advocated by French philosopher François Marie Charles Fourier. Fourierism subsequently became known as a form of utopian socialism.Initially, plans for the colony were loosely structured by design as it was Considerant's intent to make it a "communal experiment administered by a system of direct democracy." The crux of the plan was to allow participants to share in profits derived from capital investments and the amount and quality of labor performed. La Réunion existed for only eighteen months with its demise attributable to financial insolvency, a shortage of skilled participants, inclement weather, inability to succeed at farming, and rising costs. On January 28, 1857, Allyre Bureau, one of the society leaders, gave formal notice of the colony's dissolution. By 1860, what remained was incorporated into the expanding city of Dallas.

King's Highway is located in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas (USA). The district is bounded by Stewart Drive on the north, Davis Street on the south, Tyler Street on the east and Mary Cliff Road on the west. It is in Dallas Council District 3.The conservation district was established in 1988 by Dallas Ordinance 19910, and governs zoning, renovations and replacements, setbacks, etc. Replacement houses are required to meet standards making them similar to the surrounding houses and houses of the period, discouraging teardowns and preventing modern suburban-style architecture. King's Highway was established as a conservation district in 1988 and was the first of its kind to be established in Dallas. A quote from the conservation documents: The homes in the Kings Highway Neighborhood were built primarily in the 1910s and 1920s. Craftsman, Prairie, Eclectic and Tudor styles common to this era are widely represented throughout. During this period, the apartments along the southeastern portion of Kings Highway provided temporary housing for those awaiting the construction of their homes in the adjoining neighborhood of Winnetka Heights.

Stevens Park Village is a neighborhood in northern Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA), named for its developer, John P. Stevens.

West Kessler (which also comprises the "annexed" neighborhood of Stevenswood) is a neighborhood named for George E. Kessler in northern Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA).Most of the neighborhood is bounded by Hampton Road on the west, Davis Street (SH 180) and the L. O. Daniel neighborhood on the south, Oak Cliff Boulevard on the east and the Stevens Park Golf Course on the north. The Stevenswood annex includes Bison Trail and Stevens Wood Lane & Court to the east of Oak Cliff Boulevard.

The Kessler Theater is a historic live music venue located in the neighborhood of Oak Cliff in Dallas, Texas. Originally constructed in 1941, the theatre has a rich history intertwined with the city.

Trammell Crow Park is a public park located in downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. The park spans a wide area, from the border with Irving in the west, to the downtown area to the east. The park was named for real estate developer Trammell Crow. The Trinity River flows through the center of the park, with the West Fork, and Elm Forks entering near Irving, and numerous smaller creeks meeting the river, including Knights Branch Creek, Cedar Creek, and Coombs Creek. A number of bridges also pass over the park, notably the Margaret McDermott Bridge, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the Interstate 35E.

L.O. Daniel is a neighborhood in northern Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA). It is named for Lark Owen Daniel. The neighborhood is bounded by Hampton Road on the west, Jefferson Boulevard and Sunset Hills on the south, Rosemont Avenue and Winnetka Heights on the east and Davis Street (SH 180) and West Kessler on the north. The Stevenswood annex includes Bison Trail and Stevens Woods Lane & Court to the east of Oak Cliff Boulevard.

Sunset High School is a public secondary school located in the North Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas, United States. The school enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District (DISD). The school serves a portion of the Dallas and Cockrell Hill catchments. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Winnetka Heights is one of the oldest and largest historical districts in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas, Texas (USA). The district is bounded by Davis Street ( SH 180) on the north, 12th Street on the south, Willomet Avenue on the east and Rosemont Avenue on the west. Established in 1910, Winnetka Heights consists of early 20th century wood-frame houses (two-story 4-square and single story prairie style homes predominate).

On October 22, 2022, a shooting occurred on the fourth floor of the Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, resulting in two deaths. At the scene police arrested Nestor Oswaldo Hernandez from North Dallas, a 30-year-old parolee, and subsequently took him into custody. He is charged with capital murder related to the two deaths.
