A statue of Christopher Columbus was installed in Denver, Colorado, United States. It was the work of noted Denver-based artist William F. Joseph, dedicated in 1972. Joseph's statue was later vandalized and torn down by protestors in June 2020.

Denver's City and County Building is a historic building in the Denver Civic Center, built to house Denver government bureaus. It was built in 1932, facing the Colorado State Capitol, at the west end of Civic Center Park, at 1437 Bannock Street, on land that had been home to the La Veta Place apartments, home to some of Denver's early high society members, including Louise Sneed Hill. It is Greek Revival in style. It was kept low in height to preserve the Capitol building's view of mountains.

The Denver Civic Center is a civic center area that includes two parks surrounded by government and cultural buildings and spaces. Civic Center is located in central Denver, Colorado, on the south side of Downtown Denver. Much of the area is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 (boundaries clarified 1988). A somewhat smaller area was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 2012 as one of the nation's finest examples of the City Beautiful movement of civic design. Denver Civic Center lies partially within the north end of an official Denver neighborhood also named Civic Center. It includes the Colorado State Capitol building, in the west end of Denver's official Capitol Hill neighborhood, and it includes a few buildings in the south end of Denver's Central Business District. The Civic Center area is known as the center of the civic life in the city, with numerous institutions of arts, government, and culture as well as festivals, parades, and protests throughout the year.

PrideFest is an annual Gay pride event held each June in Denver, honoring the culture and heritage of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in the State of Colorado. The first Denver PrideFest occurred in 1976, the same year the local community center, now known as the Center on Colfax, was founded. The Center organizes and produces the festival and parade each year. The event currently consists of a two-day festival at Civic Center Park, the Pride 5K, and culminates with a parade along Colfax Avenue. Denver PrideFest now draws 525,000 guests annually, making it the third largest pride festival and seventh largest pride parade in the United States.

The People's Fair is an annual event, held in early June, in Civic Center Park in Denver, Colorado, United States It is sponsored by Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN). The People's Fair is one of several free events held annually in Denver. The first People's Fair was held in 1972 at Morey Junior High School (now Morey Middle School), with 2,000 in attendance. Within five years, the fair had outgrown its home and moved to East High School. In 1987, the fair moved to its current home, Civic Center Park, between the Colorado State Capitol and the City and County Building. The fair has about 500 vendor booths. Some sell food, but the focus of the juried event is on arts and crafts. CHUN describes it as "Colorado's Premier Arts and Crafts Festival". Throughout the event, several bands perform on stages, and carnival rides are set up in one portion of the fair's grounds. Part of the mission of the People's Fair is to fund community non-profit organizations. This is accomplished via the beverage booths, staffed by volunteers whose respective organizations receive a portion of the profits from sales. No fair was held in 2019–20.

Pioneer Fountain, also known as Pioneer Monument, is a fountain and sculpture by Frederick William MacMonnies, installed in Denver, Colorado, United States.In the original version of the monument, which was commissioned in 1904, an Indian warrior appeared at the top of the fountain, but the Denver business community loudly protested, and the Indian figure was soon replaced with a statue of Kit Carson. The statue of Carson was temporarily removed in June 2020. Indigenous activists had long criticized the glorification of Carson, who led a violent campaign to expel Navajo people from the American West. The Denver Parks and Recreation department described their removal of the statue as a "precautionary measure to keep it from being torn down."

On the War Trail is a 1922 statue by Alexander Phimister Proctor, installed outside the Colorado State Capitol in Denver's Civic Center Park. The bronze sculpture depicts a Native American riding on a horse and carrying a spear.

Nan Desu Kan (NDK) is an annual three-day anime convention held during September at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado. The convention is the largest anime convention in the Rocky Mountain region and each one takes eighteen months to plan. Its name in Japanese roughly means nan desu ka (何ですか), "what is it?". The parent company, Rocky Mountain Anime Association, is a registered 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization.

Denver Energy Center is an office complex in Denver, Colorado. It consists of Denver Energy Center I and II. Both buildings were owned by Rosemont Realty Inc. until the property fell into foreclosure and was sold at auction in June 2022. It was formerly known as Denver World Trade Center, which moved to another location in Denver.

The Yearling is a sculpture by American artist Donald Lipski, installed in Denver, Colorado, United States. It was created in 1993 and installed outside the Denver Central Library in 1998. and depicts a pony on a red chair. It is made of fiberglass and steel. According to The New York Times, the work "comes ... with a deeply cockeyed vision that Denver has come to call its own in recent years as the art scene here has blossomed with a confidence that the cow town of Colorado’s past never knew". The newspaper said: "The sculpture, originally created for a New York City school site but acquired by Denver in 1998, is now seen by many residents and visitors as a perfect vision of the New West, or perhaps the Old West turned upside down more “Big Lebowski” than “Stagecoach” because of the pony's gasp-inducing shift of scale and context. He stands, proud and muscular and fully life-sized, atop a giant straight-back classroom chair: the wild young creature as schoolboy."
