The Denver Public Library is the public library system of the City and County of Denver, Colorado. The system includes the Denver Central Library, located in the Golden Triangle district of Downtown Denver, as well as 25 branch locations and two bookmobiles. The library's collection totals more than 2 million items, including books, reference materials, movies, music, and photographs. Of that total, more than 347,000 items are in specific collections including the Western History and Genealogy Department, Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, and Reference Department holdings.

The Denver Central Library is the flagship building of the Denver Public Library System. It is located within Downtown Denver's Golden Triangle neighborhood and sits on the south side of Colorado's 16th Street Mall, adjacent to the Denver Art Museum. The postmodern building was designed by architect Michael Graves. Commissioned in 1990 and completed in 1995, it is one of the largest libraries in the United States and receives more than one million visitors each year. It was the venue of the 23rd G8 Summit in 1997.

1.26 is a public art sculpture commission designed by artist Janet Echelman for Denver's inaugural Biennial of the Americas celebration in July 2010. The sculpture's name is a reference the 2010 Chile earthquake which may have resulted in a 1.26 microsecond shortening of the days on Earth. The sculpture's shape was inspired by NOAA's graphic simulation of the tsunami caused by the earthquake. The sculpture was hung outside the Denver Art Museum between the museum and the Civic Center Park's Greek Amphitheater. It was installed in Sydney in 2011, Amsterdam in 2012, and Singapore in 2014, and Durham in 2015. From May to October 2016, the work is installed in Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal.

Lao Tzu is a 1996 sculpture by Mark di Suvero, installed at Denver's Acoma Plaza at West 13th Avenue, in the U.S. state of Colorado.The artist wants to bring “doodles” to life in space, aiming to engage viewers with his sculptures. He named this artwork Lao Tzu after the Chinese philosopher who founded Taoism in the 6th century, but insists in not strictly assigning particular meanings to his pieces in order to keep them as abstract as possible.

On the War Trail is a 1922 statue by Alexander Phimister Proctor, installed outside the Colorado State Capitol in Denver's Civic Center Park. The bronze sculpture depicts a Native American riding on a horse and carrying a spear.

The Byers–Evans House is a historic house museum in Denver, Colorado, United States. It is the home of History Colorado's Center for Colorado Women's History.

Big Sweep is a sculpture by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, installed in Denver, Colorado, United States. It depicts a broom and dustpan, and has been outside the Denver Art Museum since 2006.

The People's Fair is an annual event, held in early June, in Civic Center Park in Denver, Colorado, United States It is sponsored by Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN). The People's Fair is one of several free events held annually in Denver. The first People's Fair was held in 1972 at Morey Junior High School (now Morey Middle School), with 2,000 in attendance. Within five years, the fair had outgrown its home and moved to East High School. In 1987, the fair moved to its current home, Civic Center Park, between the Colorado State Capitol and the City and County Building. The fair has about 500 vendor booths. Some sell food, but the focus of the juried event is on arts and crafts. CHUN describes it as "Colorado's Premier Arts and Crafts Festival". Throughout the event, several bands perform on stages, and carnival rides are set up in one portion of the fair's grounds. Part of the mission of the People's Fair is to fund community non-profit organizations. This is accomplished via the beverage booths, staffed by volunteers whose respective organizations receive a portion of the profits from sales. No fair was held in 2019–20.

The Denver Art Museum (DAM) is an art museum located in the Civic Center of Denver, Colorado. With encyclopedic collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world, the DAM is one of the largest art museums between the West Coast and Chicago. It is known for its collection of American Indian art, as well as The Petrie Institute of Western American Art, which oversees the Museum’s Western art collection. and its other collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world. The Museum’s iconic Martin Building (formerly known as the North Building) was designed by famed Italian architect Gio Ponti in 1971.In 2018, the Museum began a transformational $150 million renovation project to unify the campus and revitalize Ponti’s original structure, including the creation of new exhibition spaces, two new dining options, and a new welcome center.

The Colorado History Museum was a museum in Denver, Colorado, United States dedicated to the history of Colorado. It was at 1300 Broadway in Denver from 1976 to 2010, and was administered by the Colorado Historical Society, now known as History Colorado. It closed on 28 March 2010, and the building was demolished in June to make way for a new Colorado Judicial Complex. The replacement museum, the History Colorado Center, was constructed one block to the south.

The Colorado Supreme Court is the highest court in the U.S. state of Colorado. Located in Denver, the Court consists of a Chief Justice and six Associate Justices.
