The statue of Henry Bartle Frere is an outdoor 1888 sculpture of the British colonial administrator of the same name, installed at Whitehall Gardens in London, United Kingdom. The statue is by the sculptor Thomas Brock and is Grade II listed.

The statue of William Tyndale is a Grade II listed statue within the Victoria Embankment Gardens in London. The monument celebrates William Tyndale, a bible scholar who was persecuted in his attempts to make readily available an English translation of the bible, a mission which the society believed mirrored their own aims. Tyndale was eventually tried for heresy and sentenced to death for his work. His last words were "Lord, open the king of England's eyes", and English bibles would become available in every parish church by order of the king shortly after his death. The King James Bible makes significant use of Tyndale's work. The monument is by Joseph Edgar Boehm, unveiled in 1884 by Lord Shaftesbury. A bronze statue upon a Portland stone pedestal, Tyndale is shown with his right hand on his translation of the New Testament, that rests on a printing press of similar design to one which Tyndale may have used while in exile in Antwerp. The monument was dedicated by the British and Foreign Bible Society to mark their 80th anniversary, as well as possibly the 400th of Tyndale's birth, despite this date being disputed. A portrait which hangs in the dining hall of Hertford College, Oxford, is said to have served as the inspiration for the depiction seen in Victoria Embankment Gardens.

The PS Tattershall Castle is a floating pub and restaurant moored on the River Thames at Victoria Embankment. It served as a passenger ferry across the Humber estuary from 1934 to 1973, before being towed to London in 1976.

The statue of James Outram, a work by Matthew Noble, stands in Whitehall Gardens in London, south of Hungerford Bridge. It is a Grade II listed structure. Unusually, the plan to erect the statue began in Outram's own lifetime, at a public meeting held in Willis's Rooms, London, on 5 March 1861. The general had recently returned to Britain from India, the stage on which his military career had been played out, due to poor health. It was decided to erect an equestrian monument in Calcutta, with J. H. Foley as the sculptor, and a standing design by Matthew Noble in London, "near [the statue] of his illustrious comrade, Sir Henry Havelock", on Trafalgar Square. Permission for this site was refused by the First Commissioner of Works, who subsequently offered a site in the yet-to-be-created Embankment Gardens. The statue was unveiled by Lord Halifax, a former Secretary of State for India, on 17 August 1871.The bronze statue rests on a granite pedestal.

The Authors' Club is a British membership organisation established as a place where writers could meet and talk. It was founded by the novelist and critic Walter Besant in 1891. It is headquartered at the National Liberal Club.The Authors' Club was based for many years next door to its present site, on Whitehall Court, first moving into the National Liberal Club in 1966. After ten years there, in 1976 the Authors' Club joined forces with The Arts Club in Dover Street, London W1. In 2011 it moved to Blacks, a Grade 2* listed building by John Meard in Dean Street, Soho - a house that was once home to a club run by Samuel Johnson and Thomas Gainsborough - where it remained for three years. It has now returned to its old home in the National Liberal Club. The Club welcomes both men and women as members, and is open to all those 'professionally engaged with literature'. It was at a dinner at the Authors’ Club that Oscar Wilde denounced the censorship of his play Salome. 'Casting aside all his gifts of humour and irony the angry Irish poet poured out his sense of assault and battery committed upon himself and laid his spirit bare and bruised before us. Having finished he did not sit down again but swept from the company still overwhelmed by the weight of his wrongs.'Three Poets Laureate — Alfred Austin, John Masefield and John Betjeman — have graced its ranks, while guest speakers included Émile Zola, Mark Twain, Rudyard Kipling, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Winston Churchill, Bram Stoker, TS Eliot and Clement Attlee. Arthur Conan Doyle was for many years chairman, and often used to read his manuscripts to members prior to publication. The first president of the Authors' Club was the novelist George Meredith; he was followed by Thomas Hardy; who was in turn succeeded by JM Barrie. Subsequent presidents included the architectural historian Sir Banister Fletcher, the Anglo-Irish writer, dramatist and poet Lord Dunsany, Compton Mackenzie – author of Whisky Galore – and Laurence Meynell. The current president is the author and The Independent columnist John Walsh.

The National Liberal Club (NLC) is a London private members' club, open to both men and women. It was established by William Ewart Gladstone in 1882 to provide club facilities for Liberal Party campaigners among the newly enlarged electorate following the Third Reform Act in 1884, and was envisioned as a more accessible version of a traditional London club. The club's Italianate building on the Embankment of the river Thames is the second-largest club-house built in London. (It was the largest ever at the time, but was superseded by the later Royal Automobile Club building completed in 1911.) Designed by Alfred Waterhouse, it was completed in 1887. Its facilities include a dining room, a bar, function rooms, a billiards room, a smoking room, a library and an outdoor riverside terrace. It is located at Whitehall Place, close to the Houses of Parliament, the Thames Embankment and Trafalgar Square.

Whitehall Court in London, England, is one contiguous building but consists of two separate constructions. The south end was designed by Thomas Archer and A. Green and constructed as a block of luxury residential apartments in 1884 while the north end, occupied by the National Liberal Club, was designed by Alfred Waterhouse and completed in 1887.The building was developed speculatively by the Liberal MP and property developer Jabez Balfour, through the Liberator Building Society which he controlled. In 1892 the Society collapsed, leaving thousands of investors penniless. Instead of advancing money to home buyers, the Society had advanced money to property companies to buy properties owned by Balfour, at a high price.Well-known residents have included William Gladstone, Lord Kitchener, Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich of Russia and George Bernard Shaw.The building was used as Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) headquarters until the end of the First World War. A blue plaque in Mansfield Smith-Cumming's name at the SIS headquarters at 2 Whitehall Court was unveiled on 30 March 2015.1 & 2 Whitehall Court are occupied by the Royal Horseguards Hotel. 3 Whitehall Court is occupied by the Farmers Club. 4 Whitehall Court was occupied by the West Indian Club from 1912 until 1971. It is currently split into apartments: in February 2018, Transparency International reported that lawyer and activist Alexei Navalny has claimed that Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov owns two apartments in Whitehall Court worth £11.4 million.

The statue of Charles Portal, 1st Viscount Portal of Hungerford is a statue that stands in Victoria Embankment Gardens, outside the Ministry of Defence. The statue was designed by Oscar Nemon and unveiled by Harold Macmillan in 1975. It depicts Charles Portal, who first had a decorated career during the First World War as part of the Royal Flying Corps. He would go on to serve as Chief of the Air Staff for a significant part of the Second World War. He is considered to be one of the most significant figures of British wartime command. With Eisenhower calling him "greater even than Churchill", and Churchill himself stating that "Portal had everything".

The Royal Air Force Memorial is a military memorial on the Victoria Embankment in central London, dedicated to the memory of the casualties of the Royal Air Force in World War I (and, by extension, all subsequent conflicts). Unveiled in 1923, it became a Grade II listed structure in 1958, and was upgraded to Grade II* in 2018. It is considered to be the official memorial of the RAF and related services. It is sited at Whitehall Steps, near Cleopatra's Needle, between the north-bank ends of Charing Cross Bridge and Westminster Bridge, and directly to the east of the main Ministry of Defence building on Whitehall. The Fleet Air Arm Memorial and the Battle of Britain Monument are nearby.

The Royal Horseguards Hotel is a London hotel situated in the area of Whitehall. It is operated by Guoman Hotels, a subsidiary of Thistle Hotels.

The 1920 Club was a short-lived London ladies and gentlemen's club, which existed in the 1920s. The original London club was established for Liberal supporters of the Lloyd George government, after the National Liberal Club began systematically blackballing Lloyd George's supporters. This was symptomatic of a deeper schism at the time, between the 'official' Liberal Party in opposition, led by H.H. Asquith (which retained control of the party machinery), and those led by Lloyd George in a coalition with the Conservatives. The club opened in December 1920, in rooms at 2 Whitehall Court (inside what is now the Royal Horseguards Hotel), neighbouring the National Liberal Club - something the 1920 Club's committee described as 'a coincidence'. It evolved from being just a club for coalition supporting Liberals. It was a relatively unusual club, in that it admitted both men and women as full members. This resulted in a number of prominent Liberal Party women, such as Margery Corbett Ashby joining.
